Whenever it is showing the same thing when I turn on my laptop.

    Hi samir,.

To be honest it is really hard to say something about it because you didn t post important information about your laptop model and the operating system

Regarding your first problem: it happens when the power adapter is connected or only with the battery?

On the second problem I m of ideas, but it would be important to know what OS you are using.

We need as much as possible, even application of various users push them to realize that this is a serious issue and build an update to solve this problem! Other manufacturers have already solved that for their products. Fans are also experimenting with the conexant drivers welcome!

  • Satellite C50D-B-120 seems to be slow

Has anyone else had problems with this laptop model?

Mine seems slow but on further review that this is indeed the parties stop and start intermittently and not all at once.

The keyboard and touchpad are more obvious because the cursor seems to stutter on and often typed letters do not appear on the screen for a few seconds.

WiFi also cuts out intermittently as well as Ethernet and other ports.

Also I tried to do a factory reset which takes no more than 20-25 minutes to write the recovery disk 'C' partition, but it takes more than 3 hours! This time does not include the implementation of the laptop after the reset.

What should I do with what it is unusable and only bought new at argos, 2 weeks ago.

Satellite C50D-B-120 seems to be equipped with 4 GB of RAM only...
I think an upgrade to 8 GB would be desirable.

Also the applications and the amount of the process that runs in the background can slow down the laptop and the system performance.

What you can try to do is to clean the system using CCleaner.
Also turn off some nonessential processes that start when the system starts.

  • Satellite C50D-B-120: refresh your pc - it will delete all files

    Hello

I'm looking at a friends by Satellite C50D-B-120. It does not start. There OpenOffice files on it, but I don't know exactly where. If I try the "Refresh your PC" option troubleshooting it will delete all files?

    Thank you

    Matt

    Hi Matt

I found very interesting Toshiba technical support document in the Knowledge Base, and I think it might be useful to you.

    Windows Recovery 8 & repair
    APS2. Toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB2A03ES0000R01.htm

The 'Refresh' option is primarily a repair technique. It is a good method to return your PC to a known good state while preserving your files and a large part of your configuration. With the option "Refresh your PC", accounts of users, data files and some settings are retained on your PC without the need to create a backup or make choices about what to keep or delete.

This means that the data should not be affected by using the update your PC option.

  • Satellite C50D-B-120 - install Windows 7 drivers

    Hi all

Could really do with some help on the Satellite C50D-B-120 / pscn4e.

Wipe the drive and did a clean install of Windows 7, all the updates that are applied etc.

I downloaded all the Toshiba drivers for the model and install them, but have the following problem:

In Device Manager, there are 3 things that are not installed:

    -SM Bus controller
-USB Controller (assuming USB 3, like USB 2 works)
    -Unknown device

Is it me maybe install things in the right order? Or if the machine is not fully supported on Windows 7.

Also, the dimming/volume/wifi etc screen function keys... do not work.

Can anyone shed some light on these questions, because I'm at the end of my home now!

    Thanks in advance
    James

I checked Toshiba download page http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/dow...ivers_bios.jsp and all drivers for Win7 64 bit are available for your laptop is fully supported.
Have you installed all of them (pilot listed 31)?

Try to identify the unknown device with vendor and device research - http://www.pcidatabase.com/

  • Satellite C50D-B-120 is slow

I bought 2 satellite C50D-B-120 pscn4e-00x00qen and both are very very slow.
the touchpad freezes and even browse the web is a battle.

I can't even watch videos on you tube, I bought 2 and they are 4 days old

    something is very wrong.

    Hello

What you wrote in your first assignment is the theme that we have on this forum for years. New laptops are slow. You can find old discussions on slow start or portable bad performance. There is nothing new.

To be honest my laptop with 'presets' was too slow.

When you get the new notebook you will get it with the factory settings. It is pre-installed with recovery image that includes the system operation, all necessary drivers, tools, utilities and some additional software. For example, the default installation of Windows updates is set to automatic. In other words, your system will detect the updates and install them without asking you. Can you imagine what happens with performance if updates of 10 MB will be downloaded and installed in the background without asking you? The HARD drive will be very busy and very slow laptop.

What you need is the optimization of the operating system. Remove all the unnecessary stuff from the system. Turn off all the unnecessary stuff start. Disable automatic update of windows.

Configure the preinstalled OS so that you simply use applications and background processes that you really need.

I did the same thing on my computer and it works much better than before. 5 months I've updated with SSD. Now, it goes very quickly and I can say with certainty: it was a very good investment.

  • Satellite X 200-203 turns off when turn off the power

    Hello

first of all, excuse my bad English please.

Since 2 days I have the satellite X 200-203 portable and my first problem is that the battery does not load.
When I connect the power he works very well, but did I unplug the power replisse or the laptop turns off. under vista it shows me always a 89% battery power, ALWAYS.

    What can I do?
at least, the satellite logo lights up red annymore.

    Thank you

    Hello

According to your description, the battery provides the laptop with power.
In my opinion there is problem with the battery itself or electronic supply on the motherboard.
I think that it of a failure of battery, but to be 100% sure that the audit of the books is necessary!

The X 200 is a new series of laptop so I'm 100% sure that the guarantee is valid. Am I wrong?

If you shouldn't t waste time and contact the service provider authorized in your country.
The guys of the explain your situation and ask for later handling.

Each cheque replacement and part is done for free!

Good luck & congratulations guy ;)

    Hello

You can disconnect the external USB devices without turning off the unit, but you must use the option "remove hardware" before you cut the material.
The icon "Remove hardware" usually appears with resources such as hard drives or USB key have the ability to buffer data. It of necessary for this buffer to the device before emptying it is disconnected
