Satellite C650 - cannot access the HDD recovery to restore Win7

Satellite C650

Windows partition has been destroyed, I have a copy of the recovery of HARD drive to an external drive, but using a disc of windows7 to start on windows does not recognize the recovery of hard drive as being any information system so will not restore the original windows and Toshiba Utilities.

Press F8 and keeps O press the button of not raising the the menu with the option to restore.

No clue as to how I can extract / use HARD drive recovery I

Thank you

Problem is this recovery saved disk image external DRIVE cannot be used. In s manuals document is clearly described that the owner of the laptop must create recovery media. This recovery media can be a DVD disc or USB key, depending on the model of laptop.

What you can do now is to restore disc original order or to install the clean version of the OS with installation of Microsoft disk but it is also not the best solution.

What do you think of all this? If you have any other questions you are welcome.

    Hi Cyber_Punk,

    Thanks for the reply.

Please click on the link mentioned below to make sure that you try to run PC Restore correctly:

  • Satellite A300 - cannot access the Internet more

I would like to re - open this thread because I am facing a similar problem.
I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 and I installed Windwos 7 two months ago. Yesterday, his suddenly, my laptop could not access the internet more, but the wireless lan connection worked well.
Until this malfunction appeared in the list of active connection, there was only one entrance, my network classified as "Home network" but now, instead, there are two entry, it is my network classified as "Home network", the other is a 'unidntified network', classified as 'Public network '.

I am sure that the problem is in my laptop and not in the adsl router because:
1 - other people to join my network wireless with normal internet access.
    2. the problem always occurs with other networks currently used by third parties to connect to the internet.
3 - the problem always with cable connection

    Windows reports no error.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
    Andrea

    Hello Andrea,

To me it seems that you don't have an Internet connection so you always connected to the router but if you can access Internet t. You should look in the router configuration to see if it s is connected correctly.

Try also updating the firmware on your router and disable security features to test this situation.

Last but not least, you should try too update the wireless adapter driver. It can be downloaded on the official page of Toshiba. :)

  • Cannot access the System Recovery Console invalid password

System Recovery Console insists that I use a "invalid password". I installed Win7. I make a written record of all used passwords so I'm sure I know the password I put in the first place; It is a simple word, that I always use for low security situations.  However, I tried all variants of logics of this password (upper and lower case, etc.), but nothing works.  I loaded 'ophcrack LiveCD' and found that the password is .  I tried to use no password and this also fails.

What can I do to pass in addition to "invalid password" so I can't enter the System Recovery Console?

    Thank you.

    Hey Ron,.

I finally got some time to focus on this and learned something that could explain the difficulties you encounter!

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-happened-to-the-recovery-console

It seems that the Recovery Console has been taken from Windows Vista (and 7). Personally I did not know this, but then again I don't use it every day! :) So in short, it is not designed to work with Windows 7, and this issue is the result of this.

Sorry it took me so long to find! I hope that answers your question!

  • Cannot access the option of factory restore?

Hello world. I have an old A505-S69803 that I no longer use. I have been aware of a poor student in a University nearby who profit greatly from a laptop, but cannot afford it. I want to give my Toshiba and I start cleaning off my personal data. Last step, I want to restore it to factory settings, but it does not work.

I read everywhere on the internet that I can get here by organizing '0' during boot, but it doesn't matter. Even the manual Toshiba says to do. Is the closest I get into F8 during startup, and then selecting the Toshiba Recovery Wizard. However, it is demanding recovery media. When I bought the laptop, it was supposed to come with a recovery partition, and I did get NO media.

How can I access the option to restore to factory since the restore partition? Thank you.

    Andrew

    Hello Andrew

The question is: recovery partition is still available on the HARD disk?
Last is OS installation original Toshiba installation with factory settings?

You can install recovery image using HARD drive recovery option if the laptop has only factory settings.
I presume that you described in the manuals, so if you didn t such fund recovery media s is not possible to have access to recovery files you have two options:
-install the clean version of the OS. Support page all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download at Toshiba
-Restore disc original order from Toshiba

  • Cannot access the password for administrator on Win7, how can we access this account?

There are two accounts on this computer. An administrative and standard user.

I can't access the administrative account. I forgot the password for this account.
I can access the standard user account, but I can't change the administrative password because his account not administrative and I do not know the password on the admin account.
How can I either change the standard user to admin user without having need of the admin password or how can I access the administrator account?
The admin account is my main account with everything I need.
His family win7 premium is a desktop computer.
I, also, don't have Internet. The only internet I have is on my mobile phone with limited data.
This is why I can't download anything to help.
Help or knowledge is much appreciated.
    Thank you
I can't access the administrative account. I forgot the password for this account.
There are a lot of options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:
    • Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
    • Log on to your account admin to spare, and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you set up an alternative admin account).
    • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
    • Insert your flash drive USB with the password key file (only works if you have taken the time to create such a key file).
    • Use the password indicator (works only if you have created a hint and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
    • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)

Seems to me, the image of hard drive recovery is not already available on your hard disk. You did a recovery disk? Otherwise, you must buy from Toshiba, the details for the order are:

  • Satellite M60 - cannot access the HARD disk but update the BIOS

    Hello

I want to update the bios on a Satellite M60
the problem is that I can't access either on my hard drive it still reboot

So, first I want to try to update my Bios but as I can't work with windos XP I need to do it with a Dos command.

is there any solution for this?

    Thank you very much

and why you want to update the BIOS?

Even if the BIOS is not updated, the laptop should work well and should start the Windows operating system.
This means that the problem with your laptop is unrelated to the old version of the BIOS.

Have you tried to check the HARD drive or to reinstall Win XP?

  • Satellite L450D - cannot use the product recovery disc

    Hello

I'm new to this forum and have spent 3 days reading this and other forums to try to solve my problem, I found a lot of answers, but none does not work for me so I'd see if I could get the thought some very great need help here.

Now, I have the problem that when I start the laptop the windows logo appears, then Microsoft corporation through the bottom and then the screen black with the cursor of Pentecost, I tried all possible starting in the bios settings and just goes back to this screen, I can t get no prompt or anything like that , I used knoppix and managed to transfer all the files I need from my external HARD drive, so thought I would not reset to factory settings with the recovery disk of the product supplied with the notebook, the disc never has been used or taken from the package until now is so in perfect condition of the art, so I put in the drive , start computer press f12 and make the primary boot CD, but all that happens is it says windows is loading files and get back to the dreaded black screen and a cursor.

    Can someone please help?

If you have the original Toshiba Recovery disk I assume you have older model laptop with Windows XP Home edition old. To be honest, it would be interesting to know is you.

In any case, out of curiosity but can only begin preinstalled OS in safe mode?
Enter the BIOS settings and set its default value initially. After ding this change BIOS boot order and place the CD/DVD as first boot device. Put recovery media in the optical disc drive, and boot up your laptop. While the laptop tries to start C press several times.

Usually, this should force your laptop to use ODD as the first boot device.
Long ago, I had similar problem and such combination helped to force the ODD to read the recovery disk and Windows XP Home edition recovery facility. Of course, I hope that everything is OK with your HARD drive.

    Please test and send feedback.

  • Satellite L - cannot create the Vista recovery disc

Hello. I am trying to create the recovery disk. Takes 2 DVD, no problem with the 2, but when I am burning nr.1 and is about to finish showing me the error message:

The following question has occurred during the recording of the data on the disk.
The current process will be stopped.
    A power calibration area error.
Please check if the disc is scratched dirty.
If so, please try again with a new disc.
    (error code: 0E01B5-26-00037304)

I tried 3 or 4 times, brand new DVD each time. Any ideas?

    Hi zombi71,

What brand of DVD that you've already used? These burning questions can be linked to the mediums of poor quality so it s recommended using mediums high quality only. I have pretty good experience with Verbatim and TDK discs and especially with the DVD-R DVD + R. So I would recommend Verbatim DVD-R. With this brand, it was possible to create the mediums of recovery on my laptop. :)

  • Satellite L755 - how to return to Windows 7 using the HDD Recovery folder

    Hello
    are how you today

    I own a toshiba Satellite L755.
I have recently upgraded to windows 7 to windows 8, and now I do not have windows 8. I want to go back to windows 7.

Many people say that it is possible using the HDD Recovery folder that I have on my D drive and it s 13.5 GB.

What I need is to know if its possible and if you can you explain to me how its done.

I searched the Web for an answer for tha last 4 hours and I thank you

    > Many people say that it is possible using the HDD Recovery folder that I have on my D drive and it s 13.5 GB

A lot of people said you can use HARD drive recovery in order to put the system back to factory settings.
This true s but this is possible ONLY if the system has not been modified.

In case you have changed the system, you could go back to the factory settings using the recovery disk!
Recovery disk may be created using the preinstalled tool called Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.

Have you created this disc in the past!

  • Pavilion g series: cannot access the recovery partition & disk do not work

Try to reset the computer to factory since it does not start in Windows.

When I try to enter in recovery "esc then F11" it will just try to load windows. Recovery partition is still there just can't access.

So I try to use disc 5 figure set I did 3 years ago & it starts on the 1st cd, but I get a message saying that the disk is not for this computer.

I'm like what?  This computer rendered & I have the best recollection no changes to anything that should have caused the recovery to think that there is another computer.

Suggestions on what I might have to do in order to recover my computer to the factory?

How can I access the partition recovery from normal mode does not work?

Why the hell does not work my cd?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I can't return to Windows, even in safe mode.

If this is the case, then you need the recovery media you can perform a factory image recovery.

You can remove the hard drive and connect it to another PC through an external drive enclosure or a usb cable to sata. Which will allow you to copy your important data from the drive to another device of storage for extra security.

  • Increases the size of the "HDD Recovery" folder on the partition "D".

I am the owner of laptop Toshiba Satellite, recently, I noticed that my D: drive (unused) is saturated and after careful analysis I realized that the "HDDRecovery" file size is > 200 GB.

I don't want to remove the file or remove image files inside that I need the functionality of recovery, but I have not a clue how to handle the recovery process to decrease the volume.

Do you have an idea how this issue?

    Wojtek

    Hello

It seems strange to me that the size of the HDD recovery folder would increase up to 200 GB continuously. Probably for laptop computer stores files backup automatically in this folder, but I m not very well why

However, I recommend you to create a recovery media (recovery disk) using the Toshiba
Recovery media creator (this software pre-installed on the Toshiba laptop).

The use of disk recovery (or USB key recovery) would fix the laptop back to the factory and even if settings you should remove the folder in HARD drive recovery or the entire partition, this partition, and these files would be created again.

Hope that this information could be useful for you.

  • Satellite L650-12 q - Toshiba HDD Recovery does not

    Toshiba Satellite L650-12 q
    Windows 7 64 bit

I am looking to re - install Windows using the Toshiba HDD Recovery software on my hard drive to restore the computer to factory settings.
I followed the procedure to do this in the System Recovery Options, but received the following message is displayed:

"The recovery of the operating system is impossible!
Not found the HDD Recovery folder on the second disc of the first hard drive. There is no valid disk HARD recovery environment on this computer. »

    More details:
Before you do the above, I supported the system and the files and folders using AOMEI Backupper. I then made the mistake of the merger of C: D: and E: partitions, E: contained HDDR files.

After having tried the recovery above and receive the above message, I reinstalled the file system I had saved on an external hard drive, which resulted in a copy of the drive C: and E: drive with HDDR files.
Unfortunately, when I tried to recover the operating system, the same message appeared.

Then I tried to use a system restore disc, I had created a few weeks ago, but concluded that, for some reason that CD is empty.

The good news is that the computer still works - slowly - and HDDR files seem to be still there, but for some reason, inaccessible.

What are my options? I want to go back to initial factory settings so that I can go back and re-install the programs and files that I want to. (I backed up all my files and have records of installation for programs).

If the worst comes to the worst and I have to buy a Windows 7 disc (if that's even possible - I don't want Windows 8), it would be possible to install on this computer and it would give me a clean install, without any of the garbage which is currently cluttering up my computer?

Thank you for reading, and I would be grateful for any advice you can offer.

In your case, the situation is clear: HARD drive recovery facility does not work?
If you want to have the laptop with the settings you have an option only: for recovery image installation you must use the installation of recovery disc.

If I understand right you don t, entitled?
But you can order it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask.
