Satellite C660 - 1 7 - installation newer Intel display driver

Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite C660 - 1 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 64 bit running with processor Intel Core i3 [email protected] GHz and 4 GB of RAM. I use my computer laptop great graphics etc with Adobe CS5 and Corel Paint shop Pro Photo x 3 etc.

After only 2 months, I received an alert HDD saying he would fail soon. Yes, under warranty 2 weeks ago Toshiba arranged for a retailer authorized to collect and replace the drive it HARD that they did. Since then I can't use my graphics software. Now, I remember when I got my laptop I've had the same problem and it had to do with my graphics/video card and OpenGL. My own laptop and Toshiba Site repeated that all drivers are up-to-date. But when I went on the Intel site, I found that the Intel HD graphics card was not up-to-date. As soon as I updated, I was able to use all of my graphics programs.

The drivers installed without any problem at all. This time, although I gave a recovery to the garage to repair disc when my graphics software did not work. I went on the Intel site and once again there are more available updated drivers. However, when I try to install it says that I have now modified drivers from the manufacturer of the laptop and I have to go on the Toshiba site. Whatever it is, the drivers, I need aren't on the Toshiba site and I tried all possible ways I think to install those I want.
Help, please!

Programs open when I click on for example Paint shop pro x 3 but when I go to save a picture or change it crashes and 'unresponsive' and I have to use the Task Manager to end the process. I need the same drivers I had on my laptop before the HARD drive has been replaced but can t bring Intel as Toshiba seems to have given up on updates.

The problem is that only the Toshiba drivers are pre-tested on your system. Install the other drivers happens on your own risk, because they are not tested by Toshiba.

In any case, simply download the drivers on the Intel Web site. If the setup.exe file display you an error about incompatible drivers install them manually (I know that this message from my laptop). So go to Device Manager > right click on the graphic card > driver update. Then, choose the Advanced installation where you can choose the directory and the driver yourself. You are now able to install this driver :)

  • Satellite C660 - 1J6 Win7 installation failed - disk HARD disabled controller

    IV received a toshiba satellite c660-1j6.
    The problem is that the hard drive has been deleted (including the back upward). I don't have any of the Toshiba backup disks, but I have new copies of win 7 home prem and xp pro. However when I try to install win7 that I get as far as selecting the installation drive and I click on the drive and I get the message about how windows cannot be installed to this disk please check the drive controller is enabled.

    IV check the BIOS then several times and I can't find anything to do with it apart from the Mode of the SATA controller and which dose nothing.
    The Toshiba tech support when no help at all. so is locked HD or BIOS, and is it possible to unlock them so I can install the o/s?

    IV tested the drive by hooking up a PC desk top and installing windows like that, but as soon as I put the drive in the laptop it comes up with no installed new o/s

    Can anyone give any help... or even indices, iv it for a week now and im going crazy.

    HARD drive is not locked. You can install any OS on the HARD drive.

    Why you try to use the nVidia display driver? These drivers are not pre-tested on the laptop and installation is at your own risk! In the worst case, you could destroy the graphics chip.

    As Akuma written already using the latest drivers Toshiba because they are pre-tested.

    Why you want to update the display driver? You are not satisfied?
    Remember: never change a running system! ;)
