  MY PROBLEM

  Hi all

  hope someone can help me with this.

  I'm trying to put a new hard drive in a C660 but can't the 'boot from cd' option no matter what I do.

  If I press F2, I get the windows boot manager with an option.
  Windows 7

  If I go to F8, I get the advanced boot options.
  SafeMode ect. No CD option

  F12 takes me to Windows error with 2 options recovery
  Start repair installation (recommended)
  Start windows normally

  Also tried 0 on power, which gives just the F2 and F12 options.

  Can someone tell me how to boot from the cd?

  Check in the BIOS if your HARD drive is recognized correctly.

  I am a total novice when it comes to these things.

  I recently installed Windows 7 32 out of a recovery disk, my friend did for me from the Microsoft Web site. Now, I can not connect to the internet.

  There is a small box with a red criss who says "no connection is available" and when I troubleshoot it says I need to install a driver for my network card.

  In Device Manager, it has the yellow! in other devices, next to Ethernet controller, network controller, controller of communication simple PCI and unknown device. I tried to connect my wireless adapter that I use on my main to pick up WiFi, computer, but that no longer works.

  Also, I went to the section Toshiba drivers and tried a few drivers but none seemed to work.

  I'm going along in circles. TEMPRO tells me I need a new wireless lan driver. I download what I think, it's good. So it's just sitting there like a file in my documents. I know you're all probably laugh at my ignorance, but what I do? I tried the different perspective of updating my current driver and it tells me I have the latest version.

  So the next time I connect, Tempro tells me again once I need to download a new driver.

  Toshiba Satellite C660 1F1 my son with Windows 7 Home Preium will not run Minecraft and creates a dump of notification and error with Java runtime environment.

• Cannot read CDs and DVDs on satellite C660

  I bought my PC laptop Toshiba Satellite C660 in December 2010.

  I was not able to play any CD or DVD.

  I checked on the properties of Media Player and found that the driver had been disabled.

  I know not how get the laptop to read CDs and DVDs, does anyone know how or why this happened? Is - this rare?

  It is described as a Vista but there the same should be under Win7. Please try it and send feedback.
