Satellite C665/065 - PSC12A - maximum RAM

Hi, I tried to know if I can upgrade the RAM in my laptop to improve performance. The vehicle currently has 4GB, with only 2.93 usable (even once, I can't find out why). I would like to learn more about systems in general, but don't know where to look. Is anyone able to help? See you soon.

Hello

I wasn't able to find very specific specifications with this info, but your laptop is HM55 chipset inside and it can handle up to 8 GB of RAM.
What you need are two modules of RAM of 4 GB with PA3677U-1M4G part number. Google a bit here if you can find the RAM with this part number.
Otherwise, you can order high quality RAM Kingston.

  • No sound from speakers on the Satellite C665 running Windows 7

    Hello

Today, I was running my Toshiba Satellite C665 (Windows 7 OS). I left my computer when I needed to get away there for an hour, and when I got home, my screen was showing the 'blue screen of death '. I restarted my laptop, to see that no sound would come out of my speakers.

I can still get sound with headphones. I have restarted my computer 3 times and tried to set up my speakers through Control Panel. My computer is not on mute and is not my Media Player.

    Thanks for your help!

This problem with BSOD is quite strange.

Click with the right button of the mouse on the symbol of the speakers in the taskbar and open devices reading option.
    Pregnant option is listed here?

Click with the right button of the mouse over it and make sure that it is set as the default device.

  • Maximum RAM memory in a Portage 3490 CT?

    Hello group,

for awhile, I use my Toshiba Portage 3490 c. I bought it used and it has 192 MB of RAM, it must be a 64MB and 128 MB module. Specifications say that the maximum RAM is 256 MB. I plan to buy the new RAM because it gets slower with all programs installed on the machine (even though I already installed windows again completely). I think that it is also less RAM.

Anyone know if it is possible to install 2 x 256 MB = 512 MB of PC133 RAM, good as the specification to say that there is a maximum of 256 MB?

    Thanks for any response: o)
    Concerning
    Dave

    Hi David,

Your Portege shows 192 MB of RAM, because 64 MB was reserved for the graphics card. The real RAM installed will be 256 MB.

The actual number of programs you install should make little difference to the speed of your laptop, unless you run multiple applications at the same time.

I'd be inclined to run Disk Cleanup, followed by disk hard disk defragmenter, and then check in the Task Manager to see what processes you have actually being run. You can find several that are not strictly necessary and that is you can tap with.

If you already did so I would also recommend Runnin' one or several anti-spyware programs to ensure that your system is really clean.

My model is Pavilion g4 2049tx,

I have 6 GB of ram installed, 4 GB in a slot and 2 GB in another location.

I plan to upgrade to 12 GB in total, by replacing the 2 GB of RAM in the second slot with 8 GB.

Is it possible? And then I know the maximum RAM capacity that my system can support?

    Thanks in advance,

    Carole Steph.

    Hello

I don't know how you get 6 GB, but the record shows only 4 GB:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03548502

    It supports 8 GB max

  • Satellite A50: Question about type RAM and HARD drive

Anyone out there who would try to open their laptop Toshiba Satellite A50, what type of RAM and hard disk of brand you all have inside?
All the portable toshiba comes with Toshiba RAM and hard drive?

    Hello

As far as I know the Satellite A50 uses DDR PC2700 modules. These modules must be compatible:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
    1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

There are different models of Satellite A50, but I think that there should be a drive HARD IDE(ATA-6) 60 GB 4200 RPM with 8 MB buffer size.

Here is all the information I found.

  • Satellite C665 - noise adaptor

    Hello

I bought this Toshiba Satellite C665 JB HiFi Australia about 2-3 weeks ago. Today, I suddenly heard some strange noise from the adapter. I don't really know how to describe the sound, but I did registered using my cell phone.

The noise lasted about 30 minutes. Now it stopped, but I'm a little worried - if it is safe to use this adapter or not.
Is it quite normal for Toshiba adapters?

Should I take to Toshiba and ask someone to check? You guys will be charge me a service charge for this?
And I don't know who I should contact in ANZ.
PS. I can download it check if necessary, the mp4 file is roughly 132 K.

    Thank you
    Soph

    Hello Soph

Unfortunately I can't give you a few precious answer but I never heard noises on my cards.
I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

In the worst case, they can order the new AC adapter and replace it.

  • "Load driver" error when installing Win7 on Satellite C665

My hard drive in my laptop died on me, so I'm a new hard drive (Solid State) and installed Windows 7 top on my Toshiba (Satellite C665 model PSC55A)

I don't seem to be the only ones to encounter this error: "A required CD/DVD drive driver is missing. If you have a flash drive driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB, please insert it now. "However, everyone seems to get for different reasons and I have tried several things.

The first manifests itself: use the disk I got with the laptop. I moved homes since I bought the laptop. Looked through all the boxes in the House and and I think it can be lost in oblivion.
The next most obvious: load the drivers of Toshiba support. Tried that. Does not work. Don't know why, but I downloaded the drivers from Toshiba, extract them, put them on a USB key. Seen in "Install Windows" in a list of all the drivers. I try to install each one, it passes through all. The end of it still does not work.
Next: download Windows 7 USB/DVD tool. I read that this would work, so I tried it, and it didn't.
I also read BIOS, 'Disable AHCI mode for your drive in the BIOS OF THE system controller', I'm not the greatest, so I can't have gotten this right step, but the only time where I found the AHCI in the BIOS I couldn't change to IDE or ATA as suggested, I could just change it to "compatibility".

Thank you for your help, I hope I don't sound too desperate.

    > I found AHCI in the BIOS, I couldn't change it to IDE or ATA as was suggested, I could just change it to "compatibility".

It's a good... you can switch the SATA AHCI mode or in compatibility mode.
In AHCI mode laptop requires the SATA driver to see the SSD or HARD disk drive. In compatible mode HDD/SSD drive should be visible during installation of the system, but the HDD/SSD drive would operate in IDE mode means the player HDD/SSD would be slower.

But if I understand the detachment, ve you had problems with CD/DVD player. Is this correct?

It was really strange because installing Windows doesn t need drivers ODD (optical disc) the configuration of the installation contains common CD/DVD player that controls the disk drive.

I read in other forums that this problem could be related to faulty Windows installation disc. It would be interesting to know if you can use another drive to install the system

I also found this MS knowledge base article:
["Required the reader driver CD/DVD is missing" or "needs a driver your computer media is missing" appears when you install Windows | http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2755139]

    The reasons can be:
The installation DVD is removed during the installation process.
A bad quality DVD has been used to create the installation DVD.
The speed at which the installation DVD is burnt was too fast.
The DVD drive cannot read media.
    The ISO file is corrupted.
