  Yesterday, my laptop Toshiba Satellite C850D with Windows 8.1 made an update when I turned it on, it took a while and once he got 100% he says he encountered a problem and needed to restart which he did with no problem. It worked fine all day, do not miss a beat. Then this morning when I turned it on the normal Toshiba logo pops up but then a grayish color with a flickering screen dash in the top left corner appeared and it loads more so far than the screen.

  I have a laptop C850D 12 months that I connect to a BT / Hub cable Cat 5 ethernet.
  My download speed has always been slow, but I recently moved to BT infinite thinking that it the network speed was not the laptop.

  Using their own laptop and my ethernet cable, the record of engineers BT download 35 to 40 Mbps while I record only 8-12 on my laptop.

  Sometimes this can be as low as 2 or 3 Mbps. I can also record high speed using my Macbook wife and my ethernet cable. Wireless speeds are similar.

  As I m wrong not the laptop Satellite C850D does support 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet network card.
  It supports ethernet 10-100 Mbps speed.

  Usually, you can change the settings in the properties of the LAN card.
  Device Manager-> LAN card-> properties-> Advanced tab

  There you will find all the options concerning the performance of LAN.

  I've got Battlefield Bad Company 2 which works extremely well on it and a couple of the oldest games Total War. I'm looking for something that has specifications similar to the battlefield in the form of another shooter or driving game. All this work would be:

  -Silent Hunter 4
  -all new star wars for example Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy games

  For AMD chipset driver machines is not available. Make sure that you have installed all the stuff offered on the Toshiba download page.
  Have you installed the card reader, USB driver and display driver?

  I had some type of problem.

  The DVD does not work so I thought it was a creator of disc, AMD, USB driver again, I installed but it does not work. After that I tried to install the laptop (Satellite-C850D-107) but the DVD still does not work.

So I installed all the drivers manual, but I had a problem with both of them (I think) and they are the driver of video player (when I installed could not find the media.)   To be honest you didn't explain what the problem is with the drive installed and what happen when you try to use it. Have you tested with different media players, so after reading your ad is no useful info that can indicate if there are some hardware or software or files question about.

  All offered, drivers, tools and utilities are even included in the recovery image, in my opinion you should not waste your time trying to install drivers.

  Recovery original installation image that contains all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities, test the functionality and send feedback.
