No App tab

I've just updated to FireFox 5.0 and I try the app tab. I followed the instructions on how to do, which was, click the arrow at the top right, then drag the tab pages to the empty spot. But... There was no empty space to drag them up. So now, I can't create a tab app because there is no place for drag to create a.

That sounds more like instructions for tab groups.

You can change the current tab in a tab App via the context menu: 'Pin as App tab '.

Don't bother, I arrived at the solution of my car, you can do the following:

Type "subject: config" [without quotes!] in the location Bar (address bar) and press ENTER to display the list of preferences, as shown in the photo #1 in Firefox 17 under Windows 7.

If you see a page with the warning as pictured #2, this might void your warranty!, click the "I'll be careful, I promise!" button to continue (in fact, there is no guarantee that it is, it's more a joke to ensure that users are aware of what they are about to do). Additional INFORMATION:

Subject: config is a feature of Mozilla applications which lists application settings (known as preferences) that are read from the profile files prefs.js and user.js and the default application. • App Tabs has stopped working

On FF 16.0.1, I put 4 app tabs, as I had done in another version. (I tried to reset the FF, but it hung during the process and was completed, so I uninstalled and then installed 16.0.1).)

Initially, they worked. But in the same session, they froze. I could not pass to one of the four. Right click on them, got options on toolbar (try right click on the tab "+" - that's what I get). Re-opening and closing the window did not set. The spinners shortly showing the connections being made, spun, but I would not be able to access with one of the tabs. They are only real estate dead now; they do nothing, and I can't dismiss them.

Websites (such as Facebook) pointed to are still available, but only to a regular tab. When I tried to make a tab App of them once again, I had another tab "wooden".

I loved App Tabs when I've had them before, but now I have a few inches of my tab line that are unusable. Since the menu context does not have a "close tab" option, I can't even get rid of them. The dead tabs have the site logos/icons on them.

Hello, a solution could be the experimental extension to "suspend the background tabs" - it will limit the update at all, but the active tab & so can reduce or remove the indicator light on the app tabs as a by-product. Although it was developed for another purpose (the browser performance), it could also work for your purpose...

App tabs are special tablets and are always displayed at the left end of the tab bar.

You can place all the bookmarks that you want to see the toolbar of bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar folder.

You can do this in the sidebar or the Manager of bookmarks if you can't do it on the bookmarks toolbar.

Most visited is a special file (smart) which shows the websites that you have visited and are not necessarily Favorites, so you can not drag on the personal bar unless you first to bookmark the. You can make it open in a tab by clicking on Star on location bar twice and choose the toolbar of bookmarks as destination folder.
