  Hi all

  I have a L30 (psl33e) who has the tact recovery partition, but I can't find how to access.

  I don't remember a CD recovery and thought that now zero or F10 key when turn the laptop would allow me to recover the system.

  If I need a recovery CD to access the partition then where I'd get that?

  Any help would be appreciated.

  I think your L30 Sat was not equipped with a HARD drive recovery option and there is therefore no partition of HARD drive recovery!

  If your laptop would supports the recovery of HARD drive then it should be able to restore this laptop by pressing the F8 key immediately after that the laptop has been turned on.
  Then you can choose the option to fix my computer.

  But as I said above, I doubt that this L30 it would support because as far as I know the recovery disk must be sent with the notebook.

  If you don t have a recovery disc, then try this site:

  If you will be unable to order the disk using the above Web site then contact ASP in your country to a recovery DVD.

  My poor mother is quite upset! Its Satellite L30 PSL33E just died.

  It completely off and now won't start at all.
  Orange light flashes six times when you press the power button.
  No hard drive, fan, screen or any other noise / activity.

  She tried without the battery.

  A kind of hardware failure, I guess.

  Any ideas what this blink code means?

  Solution is simply ;) you must first install the Microsoft patches (patches) KB888111 and KB835221.

  These two hotfixes must be installed before you try to install the audio driver!

  Here's my advice;
  First, install * KB888111, KB835221 * and then restart the device and after this short intervention, install sound driver that was downloaded from the European driver Toshiba page.

  I'm in big trouble with Windows XP pro SP3 & my Satellite l30 (psl33e).

  I removed vista to install Windows XP with an original CD of XP SP3. So I formatted hard drive and begin the typical installation. Problems start when installing: the computer crashes sometimes, something like 10-20 min. Finally install completes, but computer is still really slow.

  I have installed all the drivers from the Toshiba site, restart the computer between each installation. The restart time is like 10 min and sometimes driver install hangs also. After 3 hours, I was able to connect to the internet, so I've spent on the Windows Update site; Here, I've installed all the updates, but I still had the same problem, sometimes computer freezes for 10 to 30 minutes. When the computer crashes, you will see the hard drive light.

  When I start Windows boot time is long enough for a new installation, something like 5 min. The sound icon appears 15 minutes after office expenses with the LAN & wan icons minimum 30 min after. Network works well as soon the configfree icon appear (and therefore of office). I can't run HWsetup, but PC diagnostic tools don't report made by any problem with the hardware.

  I tried to check the drivers with a pilot online checking tool (ma - config.com), they were all aware, idon't have a problem in the hardware Manager. Windows is up to date.

  I checked memory with memtest, still no problem. I have updated BIOS, no change. My hard drive has been freshly fully formatted, so I don't think that's the problem. I even tried to reinstall Windows, still the same problem during installation and after. the original CD, I used to install Windows is not clean, no scratches and works perfectly on my other computers.

  I did not have this problem with Vista, but I really do not want to use, 1 GB of memory is too low. Everything is good, drivers, Windows, programs, hardware, but computer still hangs when it wants to.

  So I absolutely do not know what to do, I'm looking on google for 2 days without response. I think it's a cause of problem of Windows questions begin during installation.

  Why do you think that? In my opinion, if this problem starts when installing has nothing to do with Windows because it s not completely installed then why Windows should ask this question?

  I think it s a bad hardware work if you already checked the memory with Memtest so I think that the RAM should be ok.

  From my own experience, I recommend to check the HARD drive for bad sectors using Drive Fitness Test or another HARD drive diagnostic tool.
  I had a similar problem a few years back that the boot system has been very slow and the reason was a bad sector. So I checked the disk with Drive Fitness Test that shows the bad sector. Now, I have replaced the HARD drive, installed Windows again and everything worked again properly! :)

  Satellite L30 PSL33E downgraded from Vista to XP. Everything works apart from the Wifi. Device Manager displays Atheros ar5005g card with yellow exclamation point.

  I try to reload the driver and the laptop freezes.

  First you need to update the Win XP to the last State.
  Very important are the SP2 and al MS patches and fixes after the release of SP2.

  The European Toshiba WLan driver page provides a new Atheros WLan driver which is compatible with the Windows operating system. XP and Vista.

  Product recovery disc boots, loading files, windows recovery watch utility box select English, then gives possibility of partition of drive or any use, I click to recommended any disc, then computer past the black screen, delete the partition 0, erasure of partition 1. * error...

  hard drive # 0 is not accessible or bad raid configuration.
  * Then an administrator opens upward *:... part of disk failed, has not the raid class, press any key to continue, * I press a key, *, the computer hangs, press a button again, another box of Directors appears with the command line.

  The error message says something about RAID but the L30 does not support the RAID and also the RAID drivers are not necessary.

  I m a bit confused and I think there could be something wrong with the HARD drive.
  Have you tried to reinstall the operating system from the original CD of Microsoft Windows?

  Try this format the disk using this CD, and then try again to reinstall the operating system.

  If this does not work then a HARD disk problem is possible

  Start Recovery CD, this completes then the computer shuts down.

  I restart and on screen, it is said wait while windows is loading for the first time.
  It becomes in what concerns the illuminated display and the scroll circle, then stops and the laptop just hangs there.

  I left for a couple of hours switch phone off and then restart.
  Computer laptop screen then start the system restart and start windows normally.

  I tried both options, the screen turns white and the same options appear while it sticks right in this continuous loop.

  Could it be a problem with the new HARD drive or restore disk any help appreciated

  Don t think that this problem could be related to the HARD drive, but who knows that everything is possible, but I think that it s incredibly.

  Have you checked the memory modules?
  These strange behaviors for laptop may be related to a dysfunction of the memory of my knowledge too.

  But as I have already said, we can always provides suggestions and be 100% sure what part is affected a notebook check would be needed!

  I'll try from Firefox Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode. If you do not have the issue so that all your modules, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them in one by one until you find the culprit.   I wanted to update my router BEFSR41 v.4.2 with new firmware. The upgrade has been failure, I bricked my router. Now I know why:

  When you choose the validated model and version on the download page, the file you get is

  FW_BEFSR41v4.3_2.00.4.5_20080603_code.bin

  as you can see it flash isn't so for version 4.3 4.2.

  I would try the solution with recovery via tftp, but again, I can't find own firmware version - files are mixed appearently but there is no file that matches the "4.2" version, no matter which version I chose on the list.

  Can someone provide me a link to a .bin file is correct for version 4.2 of this router?

  I have download the images on my laptop using windows, I then move each image in a folder but the image remains always on the download page and I have two of the same image, one in the file I moved it to that and the downloaded original page. I use windows 7 - I've never had this problem with my desktop over the years

  Shawn, I appreciate really all the time that you put into this and I'll also tell your contribution made me dig until I finally found the problem.  It comes to novice, I don't like to admit this, but when my photos uploaded to my library of photos, I don't set it to files so it was show that all of the combined images which was something I didn't recognize.  My office has always been the value of records and I was just not understanding why he was different.  Not everyone would recognize this stupid mistake, but I tell you this in case anyone else ever ask this again. • Install Windows 8 - I get where the downloads page. When I click on 'Open' nothing happens. Tried searching the records hidden - nothing!

  I currently have installed Windows7 x 64.  I had previously and unsuccessfully tried to install Windoes8 preview. Now, I try to install the full Windows 8.  I went to the Microsoft site, clicked on the download Pro now [$39.95].  He appears in the downloads, but when I click on 'Open' nothing happens.  I looked into the hidden folders and it does not appear anywhere.  Great mystery!  Where can it be?  Can something be blocking the opening?  Is there another way I can check if it is even downloaded to the PC?     Thank you.
  PS - what I get from the download page is the Upgrade Assistant that is what does not open on the PC.
  Update - has managed to enter the program when I clicked on the Start button and then clicked on "Download Windows".  I ended up finding a message that the download was unsuccessful due to an unspecified error.  Just a matter worse.  Some little problem with my system?
