Satellite L300-145 - Lan Adapter disappeared

I have a satellite L300-145 that gave an error in Windows Vista. Installed Win XP and bios upgrade to 1, 50 - Win.

After that, my local network adapter (not the wireless, but the cable) disappeared from the Device Manager and the laptop does not stop, just reboot. If I go to the bios and disable the internal lan, the laptop stops.

Any help on this?

Hello

The laptop seems to support chip Realtek LAN.
First of all make sure that the LAN card is enabled in the BIOS!

So remember that the Realtek LAN driver has been installed correctly.
Before you install the network driver, connect the LAN of the laptop and check if the Ethernet (network card) controller appear in device under network adapters Manager.

In some cases if no network cable is connected to the LAN Jack, the system turns off the network adapter LAN to extend the operating time of the battery.

  • Satellite L300-145 - BSOD appears if I installed 4 GB of RAM

    Hi all

I have this Satellite L300-145 PSLB0E-03601LPT and I want to install 4 GB of RAM, but when I install 4GB on boot THEN BSOD appears.

I try to change with the other memorys brand with equal modules, I'm trying to install Windows 7 64 bit, Linux 9.10 64 bit and it the same things. I try too update the BIOS but it the same thing.

I think it's remapping feature memory on bios but does not have this option.
So what I have to do?

    My laptop has now 3GB
    CPU: T2390 1, 533 Mhz 86Ghz
    CHIPSET: GM965
    RAM: 2 GB DDR2 at 533 Mhz
    HDD:Hitachi 200 GB

    After upgrade
    CPU: T8300 2.4 GHz, 800 Mhz
    RAM: 2 GB DDR2 667 Mhz
    HARD drive: Seagate 7200.4 250GB

    I really need 4 GB

    Hi mate,

I m really confused now. As a first step, you wrote that you get BSOD if you upgrade to 4 GB, but the specifications after the upgrade are really different. You have a new CPU, RAM and HARD disk with another specification.

Anyway, at first I checked the specs on the Toshiba website for your laptop and this model can only be upgraded to 2 GB; not 4 GB!
This means that you can only use two modules of 1 GB in this notebook.

Sorry, but you will not be able to use 4 GB in this model of laptop.

    Hello

I think that you that it is very easy to find.

    Have a look here:
+ How to identify an unknown device? +
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD0302U00000R01.htm

However, it seems that the LAN card is Realtek since there are drivers for XP and Vista Realtek.

PS: Make sure that LAN is enabled in the BIOS!

  • Satellite L300 - 145 (PSLB0E) - missing graphics, LAN and WLan card

    Hello

I have recently reinstalled windows Vista Home Premium but now I have a few missing drivers.
The graphics card and Lan and WLan are missing.
I download and installed the Lan and the controllers of the graphics card but I can not find the right WLan.

The problem is that the USB WiFi card is not reconnized and shows as "unknown device".
I looked in the property inspector and I found this product shows 2 id values: USB\VID_0BdA%PID_8197&REV_0200 and USB\VID_0BA & PID_8197 and at Port #0006Hub_ #0007 also, under the name of fisical object I find it \Device\USBPDO-9.

I am not sure that this is the Wlan card, but since is the only thing that works properly, I think it is all. I tried intel antheros and drivers realtek, allways relocation previous no conflict would happen, but still nothing happens and windows still doesen't reconnize itm so

If please, what is the name of the card and where can I find the RIGHT controller for her?

    Hello

First of all really get you all the drivers for your laptop on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

The drivers are pre-tested so I can't imagine that none of them work.

On this site http://www.pcidatabase.com I tried this vendor ID but I can t find anything. Only with the device ID 8197, it shows a Realtek WLAN card so I guess you have to use this driver.

Please check again! Make sure you have installed the SP2 at least and before you install the WLAN driver again, delete all other versions and clean the system using CCleaner.

  • Satellite L450D - wireless network adapter disappeared

    Hello

    I have a Satellite L450D - 11 X Windows 7

It seems to me suffer a problem mentioned by a few others, although I can't find a definitive answer on a cause/solution.

Out of the blue, the other day while using my laptop, my wireless network disconnected and instead of an indicator in the taskbar wireless, I find myself with a wired connection indicator. The option to turn on wireless using FN + F8 disappeared (he jumps now from F7 to F9), and in the Device Manager, the only listed network adapter is "Realtek PCIe FF Family controller".

My computer is only 4 months, so I imagine that it's under warranty still...

Can anyone advise me on what I should do?

Thanks in advance for your help

  • Satellite L500 - wireless network adapter disappeared

    Satellite L500 model PSLS0A-084002.

Wireless network adapter is not listed under network adapters in the devices menu. FN does not display the wireless tab. There is no off / switch for the wireless on this laptop model. In the BIOS, the wireless LAN is selected ON.

Switch OFF wireless and then re-start and then plug the wireless, and then re-bots don't find out the wireless adapter.

Other messages suggest the update of the BIOS. Running version 1.9. ersion 2.1 is available. When I try to run the update: code error-144. BIOS is not flashable.

    Clues please?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Colin9999,

Before you start with the update of the BIOS, you should try to install the latest driver WLAN you can get on the official website of Toshiba. It seems that you have an Australian model laptop to check the Australian page here:
    www.MyToshiba.com.au > Support > downloads

After installing the latest driver WLAN check the status again.

BIOS update error could be related to missing value added package. Have you installed this tool from Toshiba?
Run the update as an administrator?

  • Satellite L300-245 - LAN and WLAN does not work

    I bought a laptop L300-254.
I installed the LAN and the LAN driveres wireless, but none of them works.

    What is the problem?

    > I installed the LAN and the wireless LAN drivers, but none of them works.

What does that mean? Are card WLan and LAN card not recognized in Device Manager? Are there near yellow exclamation points mentioned cards?

Or maybe the WLan and LAN card are recognized correctly, but you cannot connect to the internet through WLan or LAN?

In this case, you should check the router settings and configuration!
For me, it looks like the issue of the router if the two connections (Wlan & Lan) n t work!

  • Re: A few questions about the Satellite L300 - 145 (PSLB0E)

    Hello

I have a few questions that make me go nuts.

1 - this laptop what chipset is actually uses? GL960 and GM965? Since it has 2 GB max ram I would say GL960, but that one is capped at 533 mhz and 667 mhz are the Rams came with the laptop. Also the name of drivers chipset gm965, said, I don't know if it's the name for the entire group of chipsets or if it's really a GM965. And also GL960 has no integrated graphics, but this laptop only, and GM965 has an integrated graphics card.
to prove that I do things to the top you go here:
    [https://ark.intel.com/products/29830 | https://ark.intel.com/products/29830] GL960
    [https://ark.intel.com/products/29821/Intel-82GM965-Graphics-and-Memory-Controller | https://ark.intel.com/products/29821/Intel-82GM965-Graphics-and-Memory-Controller] GM965

2 - if it's a GM965 why the computer only suports laptop 2 GB ram max, while officially the suports 4 GB chipset?

3 - Why is there not a page on the website of toshiba (al less in the Web site code) which tells me the full specifications for this laptop, as if there is a page for others more recommended laptops?

Your phone has Mobile Intel GL960 Express Chipset inside and can handle with 2 GB of RAM only and you can use the monitoring modules:
    1 GB-DDR2-667-PA3512U-1M1G
    2 GB DDR2-667-PA3513U-1M2G

Unfortunately I can't answer your last question. This question is for Toshiba directly.

  • LAN adapter is not recognized on Satellite L300

    Hello

My Satellite L300 do not recognize my network card, Wifi card is listed on the material management, but no LAN card.

I checked in the BIOS it is activated.

    Thankx.

    Hey Buddy

If you need help and you want other people to understand this problem, you must change your ad. Only you wrote the important thing is that you have Satellite L300. Nothing else.

I see you post in the category of Vista, so I assume that Vista is preinstalled. All that s.

What you have done in the past no word on this subject?
Do you use the original preinstalled Toshiba Vista or clean install no info.

Please be serious, provide information to better understand and I hope that we can continue to discuss later.

  • Satellite L300-2This - wireless network adapter is not listed in Device Manager

    1. me confirm - this model is equipped with WIFI as shown in the Web of Toshiba site but my device manager it is not displayed at all. (using Windows XP)-its only display Realteck LAN

    2. I installed the drivers from the site web of Toshiba - but always hardware WIFI not be picked up by any driver. Device Manager showing that a single 'Ethernet LAN' not installed-may be it is the WIFI card but once again on three pilots (real teak/intel/Ac..). which is the right selection computer-based laptop model No.? as none does not detect the hardware.

    3. confirm me - this model is NOT - equipped also BluTooth?

Appreciate the quick response in this regard.

    Hi mate,

Just a simple question: have you activated the wireless network adapter using the hardware on the computer switch portable and key combination FN + F8?

Satellite L300 is permanently equipped with wireless network card because a friend of mine had the same specifications.

However, you should try to update the WLAN driver. Check the download page of the Toshiba driver for an update.

  • Satellite L505 - 10J W - Lan Adapter missing

    Hello

the W-Lan-adapter to my laptop (Satellite L505-10J PSLS3E) suddenly disappeared yesterday during normal use; shortly before the Wi - Fi connection still worked. The adapter is no more displayed in the Device Manager of the first operating system (Windows 7 Professional 64 bit); the second one (Ubuntu 10.4) does not either - it's as if the laptop has simply not provided with an adapter.
I have no idea what to do - is the broken WiFi adapter or someone knows how to solve the problem?

    Greetings,
    Alfred Schuhmacher

    Hello

The laptop really support a wireless network card!
It must be equipped with a Wlan RTL8191SE Realtek 802.11bgn chip.

You see some unknown devices in device-> network cards Manager?
If Yes, then this might be a wireless network card!

In this case, you must download the WLan driver again and should install it.
Please download the Wlan driver from this page:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

If it does not, access to the BIOS, set it to default settings, restart the machine and try again Wlan driver!
