  When I go into run and type msinfo32 then expand the items and check problems for ethernet controllers it says that this device is not configured correctly and for the res, it tells the drivers for this device are not installed.   I have an ipod nano 3rd generation, work outside the home a near new laptop with windows vista. iTunes is the entire installation, no problems with the ipod at all but when I plug the ipod in, it only charges the ipod.

  computer doesn't recognize any, the ipod under windows or itunes. It there is no portable device driver in Device Manager, or anywhere at all.

  It is not the usb port as another usb have been recognized. I have tried in all the other usb ports as well. bottom line is that windows vista (and itunes) is not to recognize the ipod at all.

  I've been in contact with apple, with anything. I googled solutions for hundreds of other posts with exactly the same problem but no useful solution. Windows vista has no port of portable device - how can we get this on their pc?

  Install a material like Everest home Edition or similar diagnostic tool.
  This tool would enable details of the hardware on your laptop.

  I have the Satellite L300 and I use WPA2 encryption for 1.5 years now and t has not had any problems. The WLAN on WPA2 connection works like a charm!

  Hi guys

  New owner of laptop Satellite L300 with frustration. The answer is probably dead easy but it really gets to me now.

  Whenever I insert a music CD to listen to the music, the laptop decides to extract the music from my library. I tried to disable this in the box options but it doesn't seem to matter which it is configured, it STILL rips music to the library. I'm absolutely not EVERY CD, I never listen to, be stored on my laptop. I wish I could choose the tracks I rip to my laptop.

  Anyone know where am wrong me or is this another gremlin of VIsta? Any help would be appreciated

  If Yes, make sure you use the most recent and heartbreaking version can be disabled in the options. Check again!

  In addition, I use VLC media player to listen to music. It's really good alternative program and you should test it too.
