  I just reinstalled Vista (my records of repair so so borrowed a Vista DVD of lost friends). I have installled the LAN driver (here) and can connect to the internet fine (via cable in any case, as I have no wireless).

  Anyway when I go into Device Manager, that the only problem seems to be that there are no installed driver for the ethernet controller, there is no information about drivers when I look in its properties and do not really know what I have to download. If it's something to do with the wireless, I looked at article in the knowledge base on how to determine which type you have and as I said, I can't find any info.
  It is not a problem as such, but I want to just correct if possible.

  I think he should install the WLAN driver for the laptop. I mean if you can browse the internet via an Ethernet cable, network adapter driver is installed and you are now the WLAN driver.

  Last night, I did a clean install of Windows XP on Windows 7.
  I downloaded most of the drivers and everything works fine, except that my laptop now can't seem to recognize the wireless.

  It was working fine when I was on Windows 7, and now I don't know what to do.
  I can always connect by plugging in, but it's too complicated and I'm used to freedom!

  I looked in the Device Manager, and the only thing that has an exclamation yellow, is the Ethernet controller... and I can't find anything to fix this.

  This Ethernet controller is the wireless network card and it seems that the WLan driver has not been installed correctly or you have tried to install the wrong driver WLan.
  I put t know what WLan card you have, but must be an Intel, Atheros or Realtek WLan card.

  Satellite L300 supports SATA HDDs and this means that there is no capacity limit. So, you can also install disk 500 GB or 1 TB, which should be no problem.

  I m really confused now. As a first step, you wrote that you get BSOD if you upgrade to 4 GB, but the specifications after the upgrade are really different. You have a new CPU, RAM and HARD disk with another specification.

  Anyway, at first I checked the specs on the Toshiba website for your laptop and this model can only be upgraded to 2 GB; not 4 GB!
  This means that you can only use two modules of 1 GB in this notebook.

  My satellite L300 disc does not eject when I push the top button after a random time. If I reboot, the problem is always the same.   Turning off the energy saver and turn on this option under XP (it's in the window with the screen savers - I don't know proper name) causes an error and the information that another process is using Hibernate

  To be honest I never tried to MSKLC1.4 keyboard layout creator but I n t think that it s a question of Toshiba.
  I think that it s related to the UK keyboard layout because he of working with available German (as you suggested).

  My personal suggestion could change the layout of the UK keyboard for the German language in Control Panel-> regional options & language control
