Satellite L350 - WiFi RTL8187B drops

Hello

I have a problem with my L350 - 16L (PSLD8E-00C00GG3) of Toshiba.

Build adapter WiFi - "Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802. "11b / g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter" abandons the connection without reason.
I use Windows Vista Home Premium that came with the notebook.

I tried several drivers for this card but no change.

Sometimes the connection drops and Vista says "Windows cannot find any network" - with the other computer, I have about 5 visible networks.
Other times, I see all available networks, but I can't connect them. My wireless router signal is excellent according to the indication.

The problem goes away for a while when I turn off/turn on the map, but sometimes the same card cannot be disabled, and I have to restart the computer - of course, it freezes at screen is closed and I have to press the button for 3 seconds...

Sometimes, the problem appears after 30 minutes, but sometimes after a minute, again and again.
You have any ideas?

Thank you!

Best regards

Check the Toshiba site for a BIOS update. It may be the problem and also check if you have installed the latest driver:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

Also make sure that economic for the feeding option WiFi card is disabled. To see this document:

  • Re: Satellite L350-170 - WiFi stops and starts

    Hello

I have the Toshiba Satellite L350-170 and it's great. I am running Vista 32 bit and I got it for Christmas ' 08.

For a while now, just WiFi stop (if I use the webcam on msn or something) as if it is just overloaded, then I had to wait a few minutes before it turns back again!

Is there a driver to stay connected to the internet? In my taskbar, it is said that I am always connected, and when I check on ConfigFree (when I can't use the internet, but it says I * am * logged.)

    This can be solved?
    I hope you can help!

    Kind regards
    James K

    Hi James,

Maybe this problem is caused by the router. You should check the log of it. The router is always connected interruptions?
In this case an update would be desirable and let the ISP, check your Internet connection.

In addition, you can try updating the driver WLAN. The latest version is available for download on the Toshiba site.

  • WiFi fails to connect when active Wep - Satellite L350

    Hello

I have a Satellite L350. Day 1 purchase, free Wi - Fi was OK. Updates to operating system Vista Home Premium starts automatically and SP2 installed now. Now impossible to establish wireless connection WEP enabled on the router (3Com Office Connect ADSL Wireless 11g Firewall Router. Error message indicates the security settings of the network adapter (Atheros 5007EG) are incorrect.

I have them repeatedly redefined and encryption of the router several times. Nothing works.
The adapter can find my SSID of the network but will not connect. However if I turn off the WEP connection works.

Cable connection to the router is working OK

Driver for card is reported as more later.

Can't think of anything else to do.
    Advice please.

    Hello

It is certainly a problem of encryption
You should check the configuration of your router again

That means tat that you should try to change the type of encryption; try using WPA instead of WEP.
This should be replaced on the router and WLan configuration settings
Check if you can configure using the Atheros WLan WLan configuration tool
But if you would do this, please don t forget to turn off internal Windows zero config.

  • Satellite L350 loses the wireless connection

    Can someone please help?

I have a Satellite L350-170 which perfectly connects to the internet using a cable to connect to my router.
When you use the wireless to connect, I can only get a connection so I first of all turn off the wireless card and then enable it again, but I lose the connection within two minutes. I can reconnect if again, I turn off and then turn on the map.

The OS is Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2, fully implemented to date. I have updated to the most recent available wireless network driver. I tried to turn off IP6.
The laptop is connected to the network and receives a signal of power when it connects.
When the connection is lost, no networks are detected, but properties card says card works Ok, although Ipconfig says media disconnected. Other mobile stay connected anywhere in the House.

Thank you in anticipation of a quick solution.

Where did you download the latest driver for the Realtek 802.11 g (RTL8187B) wireless network card?

This is the WLan from Toshiba portal, where you can find the latest version of the driver:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

I recommend also to renew the IP address if this problem would occur.
Cmd execute command: ipconfig / renew
This should help to assign the new ip address

By the way: in the Device Manager-> Wlan card-> properties-> power management, you can uncheck the mark option which disables the card in order to save energy.

Have you tested the WiFi with open (unsecured) WiFi connection?

  • Satellite L350 - can't cut LAN wireless

Wireless switch and the Fn + F8 key combination do not seem to be turning off the adapter (REALTEK RTL8187B) wireless in my Satellite L350 (Win 7 Home Premium x 32).

ConfigFree shows the correct switching status OUTSIDE when it is off and ON when turned on. And the Fn + F8 key toggles between walk and stop and recognize when the switch is turned off or on. But regardless of whether they are or not, the connection icon in the notification area wireless always appear "connections are available" and I can always make a wireless connection. After that toggling the Fn + F8 key several times the established connection is abandoned by conections are still displayed as available.

I've updated the BIOS and driver REALTEK device for the latest versions, but the wireless adapter still seems to be always activated / unless I turn it off via the control panel or the ConfigFree icon located in the notification area.

Any suggestions on what the problem would be and is there a solution?

In addition, which is supposed to happen and what notifications are you supposed to get when you switch the discount wirelss - via switch or Fn + F8? I recently bought the L350 to replace my Toshiba Satellite A30 so am new wireless network and Windows 7.

    TIA

And on Vista, everything was OK?
Have you upgraded operating system Vista Win7 or you ve did clean install of Win7?

To be honest I never heard of something like that. I've updated several different notebooks to Win7, but WIFI on / off works perfectly using FN + F8 key combination.
    It s really strange.

    Hello

    WiFi or LAN connection works?
Well you are sure that your modem or router WLan is configured correctly?
    You should check this first!

If you are 101% sure that this router works and has been configured correctly, then you should check the configuration of the firewall on your laptop.
Check to see if any other software that is installed on your laptop does not have the laptop to connect to the router.

Then the card Wlan and lan card REGULARITY in Device Manager.
Reinstall the driver Wlan and LAN driver if the two cards are not recognized correctly

  • Question - loop on Satellite L350-170 Windows error recovery

Toshiba Satellite L350-170 - Intel Pentium Dual Core T3200 2.00 GHz, 2 GB, 250 GB, 17 "TFT, DVDSM, VHP

My wife bought three weeks ago. Use of the lamp. Everything works fine, until a dialogue of "Startup Repair" appeared. Since then, the machine starts.

    Machine goes into "Windows Error Recovery" immediately after the Toshiba start screen and has the following options;
    (1) run the Startup Repair tool
    (2) start Windows normally

Option 2 results in a blank screen and finally goes back to the screen "Windows Error Recovery".

    Option 1 has the reboot dialog box;

"Your computer was unable to start.
Startup Repair is checking your system for problems... »

At this point, the Toshiba laptop enters an endless loop.

So what I do now? There is no disc came with the laptop, so I can't reinstall the operating system. The dealer (Comet) is less useful and don't know no refund or Exchange for a defective product.

    Can someone please!

    Try this:

Press F8 immediately after that the laptop has been turned on.
Then choose the first option called fix my computer.
Then a new window should open and there you can choose the option called Toshiba recovery.

Please note then this procedure would start the Toshiba HDD recovery and the BONE to relocate again. This would be to format the whole HARD drive and set the OS to the factory settings.

In my eyes, you can use this procedure for recovery of HARD drive, or you can try to reinstall the OS using the Toshiba recovery disc.
Both lead to the same results

    Good bye

  • Wireless Satellite L350 - 03 M problem

    Hello

I bought a * Satellite L350 - 03 M PSLD0C * with XP installed on it (I uninstalled Vista) +. I installed all drivers successfully, with cable Internet works but I found a driver for my wireless Atheros network card (or it is an Intel adapter? I don't know but I try the two drivers with no good result).

I try * Atheros AR9280 Wireless Network Adapter * this site Web from Toshiba tell me to try, but I received a warning from Windows telling me that this driver does not work and tell me to reinstall.
So I reinstall the driver about 4 - 5 times but same result: a warning from Windows telling me to reinstall...

I did a lot of research but I have not found anything of *(on Atheros, Intel and Toshiba website) *, and I tried a few Vista drivers and much more... Nothing works...

    Now, I'm desperate...

Is there anyone who can help me?

+ PS: Sorry for my English I'm a Canadian french. I hope you understand. +
    Thank you very much.
    Max.

    Hello

First of all I see that you do not know what card WLan had in Notepad.
Turn the laptop and check the labels at the bottom of the unit.
It should be placed on the wireless network card info.

After you have discovered what the WiFi card has been installed, I recommend to visit the page of the Canadian driver Toshiba and download and reinstall WLan driver compatible.

After installation, check the LAN in the device manager card if it has been installed correctly.

    Welcome them

  • My experience using MS Synctoy on Satellite L350

It is using the excellent and free MS Synctoy to synchronize the laptop and desktop computers all works beautifully on WiFi, but there are one or two oddities to know.

I'm just thrilled to have this machine works again. And what a beautiful machine. I can't believe how fast it is. My office is similar spec. around a 2.2 Ghz dual core Pentium, 2 Gb RAM etc, but the little Toshiba is much, much faster. And a sharp screen PIN as well. I think it's way of s of great hint that my desktop computer needs a complete reinstallation. Dell I have used for the last six months, or two is not going to get a look in.)

No problems as far as I am concerned, but I hope it will be useful to anyone trying to do the sync or backup on a Windows XP or a version later L350 or another Toshiba.

SyncToy is not well known. Curious. It should really be an automatic installation of Windows. It began, I think, as a beta only, but is now in full version. But you have to download it from Microsoft. Download £ MS Synctoy just type in a search engine, and you will find it.

It works very simply, from the point of view user s. strictly speaking, you only need an installation on the master machine that never should be. You set up pairs of folder to synchronize for example My Documents on your laptop and the same folder on any other machine. Wi - Fi networks are not a problem.

There are various, largely explicit options but the I'm going for is sync. All the files on the master machine new, updated or modified are duplicated to the slave machine and the clever bit, vice versa. The first copy is inevitably a lengthy process. In my case, about 6.5 GB. After that, it is very fast. It identifies what are its needs to copy files, and only those who are transferred. Whatever it is.

I got a little lazy and have Synctoy installed on my Toshiba L350, as well as on my desktop computer. So I can push a synchronization to another end.

Please be aware that Synctoy, in its current version, shall, at least on Windows XP Pro, Installe.net 2.0. This me raised slightly towards the top. I had installed. Net4, thinking that all earlier versions would be grouped in. They are not. Download installers for. Net1, 2.5, and 3 to ensure that your computer has all the angles covered.

Like Synctoy, why they are not included in the default Windows install is beyond me. Drunk, they are all free.

PON there we have it. My Satellite L350 will now synchronize form anywhere in the House or the garden via Wi - Fi. Or vice versa. Three clicks of the mouse is done.

The only thing I can't seem to synchronize is MS Outlook 2003. MS insist to buy the Exchange Server for this, which is annoying. I know that the ports in the software are here. My mobile (Nokia) automatically synchronizes with Outlook, like Yahoo! Mail. But I put t know how.

The only round (fairly easy) way is to export a .pst from Outlook file to a location of your choice in the folder that you want to synchronize (for example, My Documents) and then import it on the guest computer. But it's a slight pain compared to the progress otherwise Synctoy effortlessly.

Please note, that I have no interest in Toshiba, or any of the software mentioned here. It is just designed to help anyone wanting to synchronize. their Toshiba laptop with one or several other machine or vice versa.

(Kind words on another thread regarding my Satellite L350 obtaining go after a relocation complete. M. X. Merci again for all your help absolutely invaluable.

Nice to see you here in the forum ewen :) and thanks for sharing your experience with us! Marry Christmas!
