Satellite L350D-213 - restoration of the factory without disks
Hello
I came to this page because the Web, so many people say you don't need a disk and many others say that you do! {Massive headaches} CONFUSED!
After last week, ending up with the UKASH virus on my computer, a friend helped and explains to go into MSCONFIG in safe mode and disable all, then I could finally get into my normal settings and do a scan to wipe it. I ran ad-aware, but later removed that he had fallen behind EVERYTHING, including IE. Then, I saved all my stuff and deleted from my computer to make room. I then did some general research and followed the instructions. "speed up my performance" followed by a few scans/clean ups and Defrags.
I don't remember what I did to remove panic and difficulty Ukash and performance thereafter, except that I know that some applications do not work, because of a name of a file I know I deleted as 'my speed' and some I do not know why they do not work.
After spending TWO WEEKS on this issue, it is better, the UKASH went, my performance is faster BUT the strange problem of a file, and I'm done with him! I want to do a factory restore to put all rights that I can and have done wrong.
My question is; Can I do a record of WITHOUT restore factory, I don't remember if I've ever had a recovery disk, but if I did, I don't have any him more as they have become lost or misplaced.
What are my options?
My biggest fear is I'm at half way through the restoration of the factory and it prompts for a disk and I don't have. I also drive HARD recovery on my laptop on drives C and D.
(System Restore does not work for me either, I have no restore points or can I create one, so another reason why I need to do a restore of the fctory)
Kind regards.
In your situation you should not spend a lot of time speculating on what the people are saying. In the user s manuals document described clearly how it works with the recovery image installation, creating recovery image and what your options are.
In my opinion the best solution for virus affected system is new and clean install of the OS. It's certainly more radical solution but, I think of easier and faster way to have own OS again. The first step is the backup of the data, if possible and recovery image installation (factory settings).
Recovery image can be installed on two ways:
1 as described on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm HARD drive recovery facility
2 with recovery disk created recovery image installation
I presume you didn't create this disk so that you can do now is to order on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
In any case, try it please with option 1 and send feedback.

1st generation Apple TV is dead. Orange light but no screen and no resetting of distance. I tried direct connection to Mac and iTunes open and he's not here. Is it possible to restore to the factory without screen or remote workin
I guess you tried maintained low men together for about 6 seconds - silver 1 ATV that will restart to the diagnostic partition but who would rely on the hard disk is functional and if it was ok that wouldn't work with the logic board failure.
I guess you have not fed and attempted to restart.
In case your AppleTV think it is paired with another remote try Menu and left arrow for 6 seconds - the light now intervenes when you press the buttons on the remote?
Also, it could be in the video mode bad - try Menu and upward arrow together for 6 CES switch video modes, but implies that he actually started OK.

Restoration of the factory without display PC portable HP G72-250US
I have a broken screen on my laptop that I can't afford to replace, and I need to do a hard factory restore. I operate my computer through an external display, but without being able to see splash screens, I can't enter the appropriate commands to perform a factory restore. I can do a restore of the system very well, but I have no point of restoration that are old enough to be viable. How can I restore to factory with an external display?
If you can load the deskttop, then you should make the image recovery factory inside the Windows operating system. Until you replace the LCD screen, your options are very limited. You can try to hit the F4 key.
In research all programs and files box type recovery, and then press the Enter key. Who should call the Recovery Manager.

Restoration of the factory without recovery disks
Hello
I bought a new laptop Sony Vaio VGN-AR870 in June 2008 and I enjoyed it a bit. It seems to me have succeeded to it bogged down and it works more slowly and more slowly and for a long time and I have remember how it is used to run when I bought it first of all I would like to restore it to factory settings and to give it another go, so to speak. I don't have recovery discs and I did everything when I got the laptop. How best should I go to this topic? My system restores are all set points in recent months, it is a step to go. Could I use a friends vista windows recovery disc and just manually install the drivers from the Vaio esupport site?
Thanks for reading,
Jordan
I had an old set of model V from Sony. Backstage staff showed me by pressing F10 continuously when you start will bring you to an option of restore factore. But keep in mind that he wiped out all of your memory.
I used to do once every two months and it has worked like a charm.

In addition, you can do it this way since in a Vista running:

Select Recovery Manager in the list, when it becomes available. Allow the action to proceed, if you are prompted. The HP Recovery Manager opens.Alternatively, click Start , all programs , Recovery Manager , and then Recovery Manager . Allow the action to proceed, if you are prompted. The HP Recovery Manager opens.
- Click Advanced options , System Recovery , and then click Next . The PC will restart.Alternatively, if the advanced options is disabled, click Next , and then System Recovery . The PC will restart.
- When the PC restarts, select the System Recovery option and click Next .
- If you are prompted to use the Microsoft System Restore , click No and then click Next .
- When you are prompted, select back up your files first (recommended) , and then click Next . Follow the on-screen instructions.
- When you are prompted to recover without backing up your files , please STOP before you click Next .It's the last chance to change your mind recovery PC and delete all the files at the moment. Once you click Next , the restore process cannot be stopped
- If you are convinced that you want to start the recovery process, click Next . The PC immediately starts formatting the disk hard drive and destroy all data.
The recovery process may take up to several hours and will return the PC to its original state. All custom, settings drivers, software and upgrades or hardware updates are lost and must be reinstalled.Mick Murphy

Satellite L350D 213 PSLE4E - how to include the SATA drivers to install Win XP
Hello my laptop came with win 7 installed
I would like to have xp instead, but may not work on sata drivers I need to do this.
If anyone can help
Satellite L350D 213 PSLE4E
see you soon
DougHello
You have two options;
Either you install Win XP with SATA drivers or without the SATA drivers. If you want to install Win XP without SATA drivers, you will need to draw the SATA AHCI compatible mode option in the BIOS. But in this case the HARD disk, performance would be lower.
If you want to use the SATA performance, then you need the SATA driver.
For this I recommend this HowTo:
+ How to integrate a SATA AHCI driver into a Windows XP Setup CD.

I don't know if I am able to view my laptop on my TV screen, I'm kinda a beginner at this stuff: S
My laptop model is Toshiba Satellite L350D-213, if my laptop is not taken in charge is there another way I could display?
Thank you
alexdarbon.I think that your laptop has port VGA only, right?
Of course, it also depends on what ports you have on your TV. If your TV is Cinch (yellow) port, you can use cable vga to bug and hopefully get the picture on the TV. -
Satellite L350D-213 - update drivers on Windows 7
Bought by Satellite L350D-213 mi November pre-loaded with Winodws 7. System auto detect on Tosh site shows any batch of new drivers of Windows7, published 12/03/09. Wondering if I need to install these drivers.
Until now only prob was webcam "locked by another application" what hours of web research has shown to be very common, driver webcam last downloaded prob. issued on December 3 rd Cam ok for now, but only time will tell. It is advisable to go through the full list of applicable drivers or leave things as they are. Don't want to cause probs of the irrational.
Any advice welcome.
Hello
It of Nice to read that your webcam working properly now and it would also be my suggestion to update the driver on this subject.
However, if your computer works fine now I n t sees no reason to update all drivers. Why you should do?
I think the drivers are only available to solve the problems on other laptops or compatibility issues so if you n t have problems, you need to update anything. I can never recommend change a system up and running! ;)So have fun with your laptop don t not worth updating the drivers.
Welcome them

Satellite L350D-213 repeated overheating and shuts down
Hello
Recently had problems with my Toshiba laptop Satellite L350D-213 of the he repeated overheating and if off, any suggestions as to prevent overheating would be greatly appreciated
Hello
There is a lot of advice about the overheating problem.
First the laptop stops automatically to avoid that the pieces of equipment from damage, the higher temperature may affect parts and this is the reason why the laptop stops. Why the temperature is too high?
Well, maybe the cooling modules does not t run with the best performance because of the dust and debris inside the modules?
It is mainly the reason why fans do not twist and cannot cool the laptop.I recommend to check this and remove dust and debris from cooling vents using a jet of compressed air.
I do from time to time, and it helps to clean the fans

Satellite L350D - 213 Desktop gel after HARD drive recovery
Hello
I'm trying to help a damsel in distress. Its Satellite L350D-213 would not start. Although I could boot mode safe, that's all I could do. I tried to save all its data, but could not do it anymore. I did a HARD drive recovery and everything seems OK until I started as usual, but when I tried to open programs and they did not open. Finally, I called for a Shut Down. It took more than 10 minutes.
I restarted in Mode safe mode and tried to open the pre installed on the desktop programs and there seems to be no problem. Closing together took 13 seconds.
Tried rebooting as normal and the same problem occurred.
I just feel that one of the system files is corrupted. More likely I'm wrong, so is there anyone out there that can advise?
Thank you
Stokkers
It is not easy to say what the problem is here. The programs that you try to start?
Corrupted files? I don t think so. You have installed the own recovery image and if there is a corrupted file even should arrive as soon as the first day.Start your laptop and enter the BIOS settings, set the default value and reinstall the recovery image.
Configure Windows and wait for the operating system to start successfully. Don t connect the laptop to the internet and check again. Don t connect some external devices.
What you can try is to open the Task Manager and see if there is a background activity which needs a lot of CPU usage. You can try to stop it.
You can try to disable some applications at startup.Play a little with it.
There must be a logical explanation why this happens. -
Satellite L350D-213 - slow INTERNET access
Hello
I have a Satellite L350D-213 and recently had installed BT infinity. When I run a test of speed through several sites I get an average of 10 Mbps and yet when I use an ethernet cable I 38 Mbps.
Is that what I can do to increase the speed of the wireless connection? Alternatively it is possible to update my card to use a Wireless N card?
Thank you
Hey,.
What operating system you are using?
You may need to disable management feature in Windows to energy WLAN power management. Have you already checked this?
Alternative, you can try to update the WLAN driver. Portal Toshiba WLAN, you can always find more recent and pre-tested WLAN drivers from Toshiba:

I have an Acer Aspire One 532 H Netbook. I could do a system backup/restore through the eRecovery without any extra utility of Windows 7 to Acer recovery? If I have such software, how can I get it? Because my netbook not came with any utility recovery/program when I bought it. Need to respond as soon as POSSIBLE, my netbook is dying with the longer startup time and more.
Nice day
You must back up your data to an external HARD disk, etc. To reload your factory machine, click Start, all programs, acer erecovery management, restoration and completely restore the factory settings.
Kind regards

After a restore to the factory settings, where personal files are?
I recently had a problem on my laptop (gateway) that prevents Windows to boot the system. I went through the automatic tests on splash screens. Files were good, the disk check was good, went to a restore point, but still was not able to start. I got a message that there was no specified "configuration change". So I chose the option to restore factory settings. I didn't need a disk to do - it took place without no boot disk required. There was a message related to the restoration who said that my files could be stored on the hard drive partitioned part. I couldn't get to my personal files anyway, so I decided to take the chance to do the restore and hope that Windows would save my stuff. Well, Windows is running, but I can't find my files. The page of my computer shows 2 hard drives, 'Local' and 'Recovery', but I don't know how to access recovery or if my files are still there.
Is there a chance that my stuff is still in this machine, or I'm just the GROUND?
Thanks in advance for any kind souls who can solve the riddle!
Hello
"Recovery" partition will be the software that was used to perform the recovery to factory settings.
We should never touch except to make recovery disks, failure of hard disk for you to reinstall Vista on a new hard drive.
Windows does not save your data when you perform a restore to the factory settings.
Your recovery software factory settings is provided by the gateway.
It is an Option in their software.
It is the gateway to this topic information.
"Restoration with automatic data backup.
http://support.gateway.com/s/software/MICROSOF/Vista/7515418/7515418su532.shtml
All files and existing files are copied to the C:\Backup folder on the hard drive and a new copy of Windows is installed.
You will need to contact Gateway Support and ask them where to find your data saved their recovery process if the information above did not save where gateway said it would.

Cannot restore to the factory settings
I have the Acer Aspire 7741z laptop. The computer has frequent problems, and I want to restore it defaults. I've already saved important files and had planned to do a full restore to the factory settings, but the eRecovery program does not work for me. It starts the process, says that it needs to restart, check I want to replace the data on the hard drive and restarts. The problem is, it just restarts. No recovery process, no reset factory default. Alt + F10 during boot process does nothing.
I checked the partitions still exist, and I made no changes to the system since the purchase (about formats, etc.). Of course, I'm no longer under warranty period, it seems getting direct support from Acer is not going to happen.
If anyone can help? I really want to restore this laptop to its default settings.
