Satellite L50t-A-145 screen upgrade (1080 p)

I think of the upgrade of the screen on my Satellite L50t-A-145 a factory (1366 x 768) for a full HD (1920 x 1080) one. All people of material, I spoke so far were pretty negative, but what they said seems to me just a case of replacing the LVDS cable (standard will not support 1080 p, which, if true, leaves me speechless around) then replace the current screen by a 1080 p with appropriate physical characteristics (correct size screw fixing positions (, the position of the connector, etc.). Anyone has experience to do or have relevant knowledge to share? It is my first attempt to upgrade a laptop screen, so any help welcome.

  • Satellite L50t-A-145 - Num Lock ON by default on Boot Up

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone here has been able to set a L50t-A-145 running Win 8.1 to start with NumLock on the default start state.

I tried looking at the BIOS settings, where I always put before on other computers, but could not find the option here.

    Thank you very much

    Iain

To be honest I don t understand what you try to do
The Num Lock isn't associated with all the BIOS settings.
The Num Lock key is on the right in 10-digit keypad and press on this button will allow to disable NumLock

    Hello

technically a screen consists of 3 important elements.

-light source (TL-light, for the most part)
-an electronic device to stabelise the power of the light source
-a layer of lcd or tft screen

In your case I guess that since the light was dimming the light source and the lcd/tft layer is not serious
It seems more likely that it is the electronic unit or a loose device or embedded device.

In both cases your need to ask a price to a support center.

Maybe this electronic device is mounted in the screen, you need a new screen. Price?

  • Satellite L50T-A-145 - Audio problems

    Hello

My wife has an old L50T of a month, which seems to be suffering from audio gremlins. She hears any problems, but when asked about through Skype/Google Lair, they always complain extremely loud background noise.

This sound has been described as either a kettle to boil or the noise of mechanical parts, such as a metal fan rubbing against a metal casing. Also people have commented on feedback/echo being broadcast by its speakers when they speak.

The noise is really so bad that she is close to the laptop as unsuitable to the use of return, but she prefers not to do so because she likes it, in all other respects.

This brief description, anyone has any idea what it could be?

    Thank you

    Iain

From my point of few the described issue is a common feedback between the microphone and the speakers loop.
    This may appear if:

You increase the Microphone Boost option.
The speakers are too close to the microphone.
The speaker volume is turned up while the microphone to hear the speakers.
You have a very sensitive microphone.

You should try after workaround for this problem:

    1. open Control Panel.
    2. open the material and its setting.
    3. open the sound setting.
    4. Select the recording tab, and then double-click your mic that you selected as the default recording device.
    5. click the levels tab and reduce the Microphone Boost setting.

You may also be able to reduce the feedback loop by selecting the development tab in the page properties of the microphone and by selecting one of the following options:
    Activate the Noise Suppression
    Enable acoustic echo cancellation

  • L50t-A-145 - angle which satellite is opening the lid?

    Hi guys,.

I'm considering the purchase of a Satellite L50t-A-145, but I really need the cover/display to open at 135 °. The reason for this, I'm a DJ and have a Tablet laptop at 45 °, so with the laptop that I need the screen to go to 90 °, plus another 45 ° to take the screen vertically.

Can anyone of you let me know what kind of angle opened the l50 to? Today, it is difficult to get any laptop to exceed 120 ° due to the modern design of hinge, the real pain for all those who want to open more.

    Thank you.

Operating instructions, you can find the info that the screen can be opened to a wide range of angles for optimal playback, but it does not provide the values accurate Angel.

My Satellite U500 cover can be opened at about 120 °, but Max.
I guess that the same values would be available for L50T too.

  • Windows 8.1 update on the Satellite L50T-A-11 t

    Hello

I got my Toshiba Satellite L50T-A-11 t with Windows 8, the first few days, I got it so I installed Windows 8.1 of the 'market', but my computer sometimes does strange thing as "reboot of the desktop", all icons disappear, the taskbar disappears after 1 sec everything back but the movement of the icons. It is very annoying.

So I searched for drivers on the web page and I see that win8.1 and win8.1 upgrade to 8.1 and upgrade there is a list of the order to install the drivers.

So my question is if I want to reinstall to fix the problem what I do back to win 8 and update as said?
And 8.1 of Windows upgrade is called an upgrade to 8.1 or drivers for improving win8?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

All about Win8.1 update, you can read on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/windows8_1-message/

In my opinion, you need to reinstall the original image of Win8 and then do Win8.1 update again according to instructions on page of Toshiba that I post above.

  • Satellite T130 - 10G Touchpad screen pointer gets stuck in random patterns

Satellite T130 - 10G Touchpad screen pointer gets stuck in random patterns and laptop computer must be restarted to restore functionality
The center of the causes of "touchpad button" toggle switch by pressing the touchpad pointer to enter a random State like two fingers to zoom.

Sometimes, he'll be back to normal, but most of the time the computer should be put to sleep or restarted to restore functionality.

    a. I tried turn off all touch pad feature one item at a time and all, he still has some weird random State.
(Did not try the impossible combination need $ to be interested but went to the 90% level)

    b. I tried disable the touch pad buttons offending and only using the mode tap the buttons and the problem still persist.

    c. Finally, tried bending the entire keyboard instead of pressing the buttons and it has also created the problem.

This leads me to believe either the power key or flexion of the entire keyboard is originally is

    a. flexion of the touch pad causing the driver getting into a crazy State or require a recalibration.

    b. electrical connections causing the driver enter a crazy State or require a recalibration of bending.

Note: I have reinstall the latest version of the driver.
Also: American Toshiba support site that this problem exists in the notebooks of May.

Also: The touchpad is too sensitive, which makes it very unusable!

    CAry

Have you tried to install the operating system and check the functionality of the touchpad with the factory settings?
Recovery image contains tested the touchpad and right and I don't think that helps the driver installation.

  • Satellite U920T-117 - touch screen does not work & off restarts

Just opened my new u920t-117, my first time buying a Toshiba, 5 mins in and excitement began to turn to you to worry.

I really hope that its makes me something simple, bad, or at worst a software problem.

At no time the touch function works (either in tablet mode or laptop).
In the--> system under Pen & Touch Panel it says "no net or touch entry is available for this view ' as my last computer that had no touch screen.

This means - there is a problem with the driver, or something.

It also appears when I click on stop down it stops down and 5 seconds later starts again.

    Hi stephen

    > I really hope that its hurts me something simple, or at worst a software issue.

I'm afraid the worst cases are a hardware malfunction, and I guess that your contact U920T Satellite malfunctions of the screen.

I read in another thread about the similar problem, and it seems that service engineers must be contacted in order to solve these problems of touchscreen.

I don't know if you could ask your dealer for a replacement unit but in the case where the dealer replace the laptop, get in touch with a Toshiba ASP your country to fix.

  • Satellite Pro P300-145 - sound of frying with my headphones

    Hello!

I have a Satellite Pro P300-145 and today I started noticing a noise of frying with my headphones. I tested my headphones in a different laptop and they sound good and if I play the same files with my speakers it sounds good too so I was wondering if you knew what could be the reason.

I have to say I kept the laptop doesn't work for quite a lot this weekend and he got more than warm so I dunno if that could be causing it in the first place.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Andunemir,

What operating system you are using? You use Windows or Linux?
In addition, it would be interesting to know if this happens only with headphones/external speakers or portable speakers internal too. You can test this please?

    > I have to say I kept the laptop doesn't work for quite a lot this weekend and he got more than warm so I dunno if that could be causing it in the first place.
The temperature of the laptop is enough depending on the applications that you are running. High CPU and graphic card use causes a higher temperature.

But it s also advised to clean the system at any time using a jet of compressed air. This can blow the dust from the cooling fans and the laptop is much cooler after that. I do it every 3 months because I use my laptop every day. If I do that, I followed these instructions:
[How to clean a Toshiba laptop cooling system? | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=105]

  • Satellite Pro A120-145: yellow typical mark in Device Manager

    Hi all

I have a Satellite Pro A120-145 running Win Xp Pro fully patched and updated, I have a yellow typical marks against "serial" in non-plug-and-play in Device Manager (when I click on view devices).

I used advanced search forum and found that Toshiba post document in some discussions of the forum.

  • New Satellite L50T-A196 is overheating eapecially when you play

    Hello

My Satellite L50T-A-196 stop only after overheating, especially when you play (for example, civilization 5 or Football manager 2014). This occurs during the use of the normal laptop.

I'm not blocking the fans; in fact, I always lift the laptop in order to ensure that they are not blocked.

What I ve realized that I also installed NVIDIA and Intel graphics cards, and I can't make the NVIDIA one by default. I don't know if this is related to the issue or not m.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    > What I ve realized that I also installed NVIDIA and Intel graphics cards, and I can't make the NVIDIA the default

    It's very easy.
Right click on the desktop and select Nvidia Control Panel
In Nvidia Control Panel on the left choose 3D-> set PhysX configuration settings

Now in the main window, select a PhysX processor you can choose between Nvidia Gforce, Intel GPU (part of the CPU) or Auto Select.
In case you want to use only nVidia GPU, choose Nvidia Gforce
In case you want to use only Intel GPU, choose CPU
    Apply the settings

Then click on manage 3D settings and here in the main window, you will see two tabs: global settings and the settings of the program.
In the global settings tab, you can choose the favorite graphics processor.
In the program settings tab, you can choose the GPU for a single application. For example, you can choose the GPU to be used while playing a special match.

Hope this helps to choose the right GPU and to avoid overheating.

  • Satellite P50T-A-115 after upgrade Win8.1 does not play sound on HDMI

A newly acquired by Satellite P50T-A-115, I upgraded to win 8.1, all suggested upodates and drivers are installed.

I have no sound on my home theater system, playing from my laptop, while the video is good.
The sound is the internal speaker of the laptop.

There is no other choice than to my internal speakers in the control panel.
I have seen similar questions to other laptops, but have found no useful suggestions.

Did anyone get this working on a P50T-A-115?

    Please check this thread
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=74149

There was a similar discussion and the problem could be solved by the installation and update of drivers in the correct order and uninstall the Intel WiDi as suggested by Toshiba.

    Your comments would be appreciated.
