Doing so again, the background is blue, but the icons are still there. I restart the laptop, the same process. Any way I can stop this?

  Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  You'll need to do is start in safe mode and do a system restore to before this problem started.  An update has made a change in the configuration that is not sitting well or you have installed or updated something which that disliked the system.

  This problem is caused by physical limitations in DL (Double Layer) media. These limitations prevent any real use multisession. When the media is ejected, the disc session may be closed for DVD-ROM compatibility. On these discs, DVD-ROM compatibility is achieved only when the disc is complete. When the disc is finished, it is closed forever. The physical characteristics of the media require two layers will be burned so that the disc can be played in a DVD player. The two layers can be burned only by closing the disc. As soon as the disc is closed, no additional data can be added to him.

  Such a download is usually recorded in a updates or updates folder in the program folder or the Firefox application.
  You can delete this folder to cancel the download.

  If the files have already been downloaded, then delete the files in the folder updates\0 and updates.

  You do not put diesel in a petrol car, and you can't install Windows on a Mac programs... unless you want to install http://www.parallels.com/ "emulator" on your Mac to run Windows programs

  At least that the documentation provided with your Windows disk explicitly says that you have a serial number that works also for a Mac version, download the Mac to install it won't hurt, because your serial number does not work

  And there is the problem of the old software on a new Mac... read below... which, as I said above, won't help you with a serial number of Windows

  The actual message means you need to move the mounted image - the small icon that is displayed after you double-click the .dmg - and put it in the trash.

  It is a common mistake when dealing with Gatekeeper of OSX which, by default, won't take any unsigned as older CS5 of Adobe software applications.
