• Why LR4 display light changes after external treatment in CS4?

  I am an experienced user of Lightroom and get excellent results. But an anomaly is confusing to me. I capture images to DNG and download to a Windows 7 PC with a monitor calibrated Eizo graphics. Before export and deliver a processed image, making sure that there is no unacceptable cutting, the histogram display. I export 16-bit files that are converted only 8-bit immediately before delivery. Recently, I adopted the procedure to import a copy of the image of the final delivery to LR4.3 for a better management of the library. (There are often changes key words or other refinements in the delivered image) Sometimes, I noticed that some images are substantially brighter than the transformed existing LR masters which formed the basis of the above operation. So I did some tests.

  I've selected an image with a wide, fitted range of luminances in the develop module to meet my rule of "no unacceptable cutting" and exported it as described above in CS4. The color of my work space is Adobe RGB 1998 and color management is set to 'RGB preserve embedded profiles. In CS4, I only changed from 16 to 8-bit mode and then save the file using a modified name. It is the only treatment made in CS4. The two files (8-bit and 16-bit) were then re-imported in LR4 and histograms from the original updated the main file. In both cases, they showed of the matches of the cutting which indicates that the image is brighter than at the start of the final treatment in CS4. In most cases the extra brightness is not a big problem; but in some cases, it is completely unacceptable and I couldn't use this version without further processing in the LR4. Mode change does not appear to be the culprit.

  Can someone help me understand what I could do harm to bring about these unwanted involuntary changes of normally processed files? Thank you.

  Check to make sure you don't have "Auto tone" selected in your Lightroom preferences.

  I need help with my laptop. The screen went completely empty, just completely black, the lights on the bottom of the laptop are coming, but the screen and the light around the power button are not. The fan does not come on when I turn on the laptop and I can't force closing down, I have to remove the battery for the lights on the bottom to turn off.

  It literally just happened, the laptop has only 6 months, still in warranty, nothing has happened to it (aka dropped, damaged). I opened the lid of the laptop and the screen isn't just come. I tried now the power button for 60 seconds, as they say on another forum, but that did not work.

  It is really strange to happen for no reason.
  Remove the battery and press the power for 60 seconds. After dong this connect the supply current (without battery) and try to restart the laptop.

  The M40 is a not sure oldie about the available settings in the BIOS and in the graphics options, but I think you should check the settings of the graphics card ATI Catalyst.
  I remember that ATI catalyst supports certain options such as resizing the Image. Here you can select the image scale Panel option full size

  The problem started shortly after I installed Motorola Phone Tools (i.e., a driver of USB modem for my mobile phone). I don't know if that could be related but uninstalled/reinstalled the software nothing works.

  Normally you n t need updated drivers if everything is working properly on your system. The driver updates are important if you have some problem, e. g. LAN card does not not work or something else. Otherwise, no update is necessary.

  Just got my sansa e260v2 and went through all the setup stuff.  Now, when I turn it on, the wheel turns and the display lights up.  The screen never starts well.  I plugged the headphones and FM tuner plays, so I have no idea what is happening.  Someone help me, please!
