Satellite L550 - not properly recognized graphics card

Greetings,

I have problems with my L550 display drivers {PSLWSA - 01000 Q}. I removed the pre-installed copy of Windows 7 (Professional) comes with the laptop and installed a copy of Windows 7 (ultimate). The pre-installation read my like a 5165 graphics card, but my new copy of windows it read just like a 4650.

I tried to reinstall multipul windows of time without success. The drivers of the Toshibas site install as a 4650, and the drivers of the habit of the Atis site install at all. Note that nether package installs the CCC, I had to go through drivers 9.9 beta just to get the CCC installed. Toshiba and Harvy Normans (where I got this from) suffice to say that this computer has a 5165 inside.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Hi C1,.

Why you deleted the preinstalled version of Windows 7 if everything worked correctly it? I put t understand this because the pre-installed version is pre-tested with all drivers and tools. This means that everything works and you can use all functions

Generally, your model is listed on the Australian page where you download the driver:
http://www.MyToshiba.com.au > Support

But to be honest, I'd install the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba

  • Portege R700 - Autocad 2011 does not recognize the graphics card

    Hello

I have toshiba Portege R700 with 64-bit win 7 installed.
I need the computer for use with autocad 2011.

For some reason any auocad does not recognize the graphics card installed on the computer.
I suspect it because very little memory is allocated for the graphics card.

How can I change with the memory allocated for the graphics card, or perhaps, can someone show me where can I find a driver that supports autocad.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

What Portege R700-xxx you have exactly?
As far as I know the graphics memory cannot be assigned manually.
Everything is controlled by the graphics driver and you have no influence on this

You can try updating the graphics card driver maybe it would help.

  • Satellite P - games do not recognize the graphics card

    Hello

My Satellite does not recognize the GT540M Nvidia when I play a game, simply select the embedded (Intel HD Graphics Family). I have already installed the drivers of toshiba and the nvidia site Web site.

    What should I do?

    Hey Buddy,

    > nvidia Web site.
I recommend you to install display drivers Toshiba that only they are pre-tested on your system. This could be the reason why games don t recognize your graphic card. Then please remove the nVidia and download the latest driver of Toshiba display.

In addition, it would be interesting to know which laptop computer, the operating system and the games you have. Otherwise, it would be a never-ending story ;)

  • Satellite Pro 4600 - CPU overheating graphics card?

16 days ago my tosh Satellite Pro 4600 has lost the ability to maintain 25 fps in a game online - IE. Diablo 2.
He now plays to an average of 4 frames per second and ping gets up to more than 4,000... Needless to say that now, unplayable...

I reinstalled the game... installed new XP and game on the D drive...
Same thing... a program called SpeedswitchXP shows CPU use fluctuating 54 to 420, because the clocked processor slot general tab of my computer displays 422 now, not the 847 mhz it used to.

Still, he surfed on the net and plays yahoo games of cards for example. at lightning speed, but not a rpg online... there work perfectly at 25 fps on average for 3 years... Irretrievably overheating / damaged CPU, graphics card?
Anyone know? Another temp. program shown running at 64 c is worth a new motherboard?

I can get one? Any ideas?

    Hello

First of all, he should know that the processor and GPU performance are dynamically.
This means that the speed and the performance changes if the temperature reaches a critical threshold.
This could lead to performance degradation.

In your case, the laptop is about 3 years old and I think that it s time to clean the fans to prevent the notebook from overheating.

You can try to use the jet of professional compressed air to get rid of dust and debris.

  • Re: Satellite S70 - B - bad ATI graphics card

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba Satellite S70 - B with an AMD Radeon R9 M265X.
I installed all the updates but it's now called "AMD Radeon HD 8800 M Series", it is exactly this problem:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB4903N60000R01.htm

But the solution is to update the divers, that's already what I did... so what can I do?
I tried to uninstall, reboot, reinstall the different versions and so on... I'm totally lost now :'(

And now I do not see the option appears when you left-click on the desktop to access the interface of catalyst or select the graphics card to use according to the programme (to use the radeon in the game and not the intel HD).

An idea to make everything back to normal?

I m not very well if the solution might be the same, because your laptop is different.
    It s S70 - B Satellite

By the way: what Satellite S70-B-xxx you exactly and what version of driver AMD have you installed.

The Toshiba UE driver page provides different versions of the AMD drivers!

However, I recommend you to repeat the solution posted in Toshiba document.
First uninstall the driver from Device Manager graphics card.
Download the latest version (according to the system of windows), and then install again.

Here is the list of the available GPU drivers:
    [AMD GPU drivers: http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?action=search&selCategor y = 2 & selFamily = 2 & selSeries = 365 & selProduct = 17894 & salt ShortMod = null & selType = 11]

Can someone give some link to new driver?

You can check the drivers that have been released for other portable Toshiba supporting the same graphics card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

AFAIK the notebooks with the same GPU are:

    Satellite Pro L650 PSK1KE

Otherwise, you can consult the page of the ATI driver, but the use of these drivers is your risk and peril since these ATI drivers are not modified for mobile use.

  • Satellite C660 - update Intel HD graphics card problem

    Hello

Sorry for my level of English, I'm French

I have a problem without a solution with my Satellite C660 (for the moment, I hope!) I downloaded the software google sketchup 8, dedicated to the development of architecture, but it does not work, I still got a bug message advising that it is necessary to update the graphics card drivers (according to google support it seems that OPENGL functions must be implemented in the drivers of my laptop)

So I downloaded the latest drivers available for the configuration I have (Intel HD graphics for pentium, 64-bit windows 7).

the link (french site, that Intel is not currently available, it is a document of .exe)

    http://www.Touslesdrivers.com/php/Constructeurs/TELECHARGEMENT.php?v_code=37057&v_langue=FR

I tried to update manually driver graphics card with Device Manager menu (graphics card > update drivers button > file.exe manual selection), but in the end, there is no update, I did that a very small message advising that windows has determined that the pilots are already updated.

In fact there is no change on the drivers (always the same date of the 2010-07-28 drivers in the properties of the graphics card) and sketchup is still unemployed

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

    What C660-xxx you have exactly?

If you have an Intel graphics card, you must download the driver directly on the Intel site.
There you should find the last version of driver

  • Satellite L50 - A - 1EH NVIDIA Graphic card driver problem?

    Dear users,

    The day before yesterday I bought a Toshiba Satellite 15.6 L50-A-1EH model n: PSKK6E - 07Q05CDU

By far I love the device, but I get BSOD notice whenever I start a game (probably because Intel on Nvidia?). I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT M 740 and am running Windows 8.1 64-bit.

    The problem may be caused by the fact that I updated the Nvidia driver for the first time to use my laptop. I have uninstalled the driver through Device Manager and reinstalled the Nvidia driver of [here | http://www.toshiba.nl/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=NL&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 2 & selSeries = 178 & selProduct = 7948 selSh 3983 = ortMod & language = 12 & selOS = 47 & selType = all & yearu pload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = a llMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = 24 & selectedLanguage = 12 & type = all & page = 1 & ID = 88288 & DISO = 47 & driverLanguage = 42]

But the BSOD came back. Yet once again, I deleted the driver currently installed and tried to install a new on the nVidia site itself. Yet again, my game crashes and I get an error.

    The error I get is:
    Unhandled Thread Exception system

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not that good at computers please keep this in mind.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

I found some people more in the Microsoft forum having the same problem with the error message: System unhandled Thread Exception

It seems that the nVidia driver compatibility problem between the driver and the software running (in your case the game)

Try to remove/uninstall the old driver in Device Manager, and then remove the Nvidia folder on the C: drive. Then, restart the laptop.

Try installing the latest driver nVIdia driver Toshiba UE page.

The same graphics card was built in different Toshiba notebooks like:

  • Satellite Pro L100 PSLA4: ATI graphics card crashing in half-life 2, Team Fortress 2

    Hello

I have a satellite Pro L100 (PSLA4) with ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M graphics card.

During the game Team Fortress 2 and Half Life 2 Episode 2, the system breaks down frequently (screen goes black, then blue, then the computer automatically resets). After restart, Microsoft error reporting tells me that there is a problem with the card ATI display driver and recommend updating the driver.

I note that Toshiba has not released a new driver to display this map since 2005, and attempts to update via the ATI Web site do not work.
Is it possible to update the graphics driver or Toshiba has plans to release an update.

  • Impossible to update driver Windows XP Home on Satellite A300-1 EC edition graphics card

I just changed my OS from VISTA to XP.
There is a new update of my graphics card (Intel GMA965 express chipset X 3100 display card). When I scan my system to the Intel web page, a new update being found but I can not download because the Intel driver update utility cannot be updated.

Latest version is not signing by TOSHIBA. So, how can I update my display adapter driver?
MW I use laptop Toshiba Satellite A300 - 1 EC

    Hello

The display driver should be used from the Toshiba driver page.
This view is a driver that has been designed especially for the use of the laptop and it s certified by Toshiba.
If you want to use another driver, you do so at your own risk.

The update should not be really problematic. Download the driver package and store somewhere on the HARD drive.
Then go to Device Manager, choose graphics card, then update the driver.
Here, you choose the advanced option. Then choose the last option (called I want to select the driver, or something like that) and point to the driver files that you have stored on the HARD drive.
Complete the update and restart the laptop.

    That s it.

  • Satellite X 200 PSPBUA-00N007 graphics card replacement

    Hi guys,.

I get the BIOS beep codes saying there is a problem with the graphics card (1 long beep, 2 short beeps), but there are two graphics cards in my computer.

So my question is, is it possible to know that one needs to be replaced?
I can find two parts online, but obviously I don't want to have to buy both if one is defective.

I tried to start the computer with the two cards, a card and without graphics card and get the same beep every time code.

Does anyone know if the computer should start with just a single card?
Because who was telling me that this is the first map, it is the problem.

I have search the Forum before posting, but could not find someone asks this question in particular, only people ask questions about the upgrade, which is not what I'm trying to do - I found the correct parts for my computer, but you should know what to buy.

    Thanks in advance

    Ben

    > but there are two graphics cards in my computer.

I guess you mean the Dual NVIDIA GeForce 8600 M GT graphics card with SLI in NVIDIA technology.
I know the laptop was equipped with two nVidia Geforce 8600 M GT graphics chips. This has been possible due to SLI technology.
The name of the graphic chip code was NB8P-GS (SLi)

    > Does anyone know if the computer should start with just a single card?
I m not quite sure all this, but I guess that this is NOT possible because of the BIOS.
The X 200 BIOS has been configured and changed for the GPU and probably another GPU usage is not possible.

    > I found the correct parts for my computer, but you need to know what to buy.
I guess all the compatible part could be ordered in the Toshiba service in your country, but to be honest, I think that this could be expensive fix and probably a new computer laptop would be a better option.
But of course this is only my personal opinion.
