Satellite L670 question load - pink battery led

Hey,.

My laptop (Satellite L 670) often has a charging problem.

First, the laptop runs normally, the power cord is connected and the battery correctly.
That, however, the adapter is still plugged, all of a sudden the loading stops.

At the same time two of the first three LEDs indicating the change:
* Mode: adapter = white LED, power LED = white, battery LED = red-orange
* Mode problem: adapter = white LED, power LED = no light, battery LED = Rose & flashing

A few additional notes:

-Sometimes when I go out to reconnect en loading adapter starts again, but sometimes it has no effect.
-When the laptop is in sleep mode or stop charging happens without any problem.
-If I remove the battery and the laptop works only on the adapter, there is no problem.
-J' get the feeling that the workload problem often takes place when the fan starts or stops turning.

No idea what my cause the problem?
A broken battery or an adapter?
A trainee problem?

Thank you

On the virtual path that is not easy to say with certainty what the problem may be, and we can only speculate what is the problem. In my opinion there is a problem with electronic power supply, so it must be checked by the Toshiba service provider.

I have a similar problem with the old Satellite P200D. I ve tested with two adapters CA / CC and two batteries. The problem is always the same, so it must be a question of power.

Is the warranty for your laptop still valid?

    Hello!
I have the Satellite L855-188. I have a question. My rating is at home, almost everytime. So how do I load it? Can I use it when it is still connected to electricity? Or sometimes I have to disconnect?

In General, you can do whatever you want. For example, my laptop is connected to the power adapter, and I use it every day. What you can do is to use from time to time with battery power supply. Just extend the empty battery and reconnect it to the power running. Do it once a week.

    > Can I use, when it is still connected to electricity?
    Yes.
    > Or sometimes I have to disconnect?
In general you should not do, but you can do it from time to time.

  • Satellite M30: Questions about the battery, SD, energy-saving card reader

    1. After looking through the forums, it seems that my problem is not uncommon: my Toshiba Satellite M30 seems to have a life of the battery for about 10 minutes. Power not connected to the adapter, Windows detects 100%... 99%... Then 3%. Throughout the life of the battery is about 10 minutes, and I don't know why. Does anyone know? (Info from BG: laptop about 2 years, not too used)

    2. How will I know exactly WHAT model of Toshiba Satellite M30 I? (There is a code after the M30-part - I need this to find out what batteries I need to buy to replace)

    3. What is the nearest Service Center, I can talk to the United Kingdom with regard to my battery problem? From Toshiba Web site lists 20 companies different with Toshiba in them to the United Kingdom, and I have no idea which we touch!

    4. my SD card reader is a bit faulty. To put a SD card, no message appears to recognize the card - the laptop just doesn't recognize at all, and I do not see "SD card" or equivalent in "My Computer". However, if I put an SD card, and then restart the computer, I can see the SD card, it simply does not update while the computer is on, when I restart - cures for this?

    5. Finally, can I download the software of management of TOSHIBA POWER SAVER? I downloaded from this site but right now the only option when I open the TOSHIBA CONSOLE is 'Mouse' - there is no standby power options or network options or anything.

    Hello

    1) looks like a dead battery. It s not unusual that the battery will discharge performance after about 2 years. As far as I remember, you can load and unload the battery for about 500 times. After this period, the lifetime battery decreases faster. The same symptom occurs for example with a cell phone battery. I think you should ask the new battery Toshiba service partner. PS: The guarantee covers the battery for about a year.

    (2) it's very easy at the bottom of the unit, you will find a label with the serial number and the name of detailed specifications.

    (3) visit this site:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?PF=true
You will find the database with ASP together all over the world. These guys are responsible for replacements, repairs, etc.

    (4) number of SD card is very strange. On my Satellite SD card window opens if I insert the SD card. You can try to remove the SD card from the Device Manager reader and after that new reboot, the OS should has new charge card CD driver. Eventually, it helps.

    (5) I don't know what you mean exactly but on the Toshiba driver page, you will find the tool power Toshiba compatible and taken in charge. If you have downloaded from the area Sat M30 driver so I think you can use it only on this laptop.

    take easy B-)

  • Satellite L40 - strange problem with battery LED indicator

    Hello

I have Satellite L40 - 18w and I have a problem. When the battery is low or that he is in charge of the led is orange, but when it is fully charged there is no led indicator. Even if I turn it on, there is no light and if I check the power connection options AC adapter is recognized. Operating system is Windows XP PRO SP2. I tried to find the Toshiba Power Saver, but it seems that he can't stand L40.

Would it be a hardware or a software problem?
Thank you in advance for your help!

    I had the same problem.

  • Satellite A500-1F4 - flashing Ac & battery LED

    Hello

My computer was works perfectly, last week I tried computer but I found both the white LED for AC and amber LED for battery Flash - when I press the power, nothing happens just white no screen no sound comes from the computer - then I took the battery and tried again to put the power cord - this LED is now stable , but nothing once again, when I press the power switch. any suggestion?

There must be some problem with electronic control gear.
Unplug the power plug, remove the battery and let cell for awhile. Later, press the power button and hold it for 15 or 20 seconds. After having done that connect the power supply only and try to boot up your laptop.

  • Satellite A210 - question about the battery life

I have a problem: my laptop works only 1 hour of unplugged to electricity, so my battery died after working of 55minutes (I mean I look at the pictures or typing in WORD). Is this normal? How long is the average battery life?
My model is SATELLITE A210/1AP (4000mAh) (my laptop is new; I bought it a week ago)
Please write how much your maximum battery work.

It is not easy to discuss this topic. With similar activity, I can use my Satellite A200, about 1 hour and 15 minutes. I don't know how you're using your laptop, but I recommend you to use all the power settings that can make the life of the battery a little longer.

Check the method of cooling, power profile, reduce the brightness of the display and turn off WIFI if you do not use and so on.

You must also understand that Vista needs far more resources than Windows XP Home edition and the life of the battery under Vista is not identical with Windows XP Home edition.

  • Satellite A210-17I extinguished but battery led amber goes when reconnected AC

I've seen a few discussions on the batteries is discharged quickly.
To be honest, when my Satellite A210-17I is on batteries, they last for 1 hour + / 15 min and recharge relatively fast.

The strange thing is when I worked on AC and stop and unplug all night, I always find the battery when connecting to Acre the next orange light.

It happened when I had only Vista as well as now with only XP in the boot menu (Vista still not deleted).
I have no alarm clock apps in the start menu and could not understand what Windows or Toshiba apps should force the laptop to wake up while it is turned off.

Someone at - he a clue, any similar experiences, comments?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Sorry, but I could t find problems with your laptop.
Is that battery working time depends on the use of the laptop.
I have an A210 with an AMD processor and my battery out lasts for about 1 hour 20 minutes using only internet Explorer.
The point is that all parts high performance like CPU and GPU ATI needs and wastes a lot of energy when running it only with the battery.

    > The strange thing is when I worked on AC and stop and unplug all night, I always find the battery when connecting to Acre the next orange light.
It is perhaps strange to you, but this is normal behavior for laptop.
A wake on LAN (WOL) function could be the reason for the flow of this power.

    Check this doc from Toshiba:
[Battery draining 15-20% when it is turned off during the night | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB6B01N50013R01.htm]

On the other hand, the battery still loses 2-4% of the power. Also if the WOL function would be disabled.
There is also an interesting Toshiba doc who could confirm.
[My unit loses 2-4% battery by turning the device off then turn it back on. | http://APS2.Toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB6B01MY000WR01.htm]

  • Satellite L670 will not turn battery included

I have a laptop L670 which works perfectly fine when just the power cable is attached, but turns off the moment the battery is released.

We had the problem well documented the laptop turn off randomly, which could be fixed by removing the battery and cable and holding the power switch down for awhile.

Happened too often, so I bought a replacement battery which seemed to fix the problem for a while, but the new battery started showing the same behavior now and won't work at all - by inserting shuts the laptop.
The laptop lights with just the battery attached either.

It is still in warranty of 12 months.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey,.

All hardware issues will be fixed for free if you take the computer to an authorized service provider for software issues, you have to pay.

According to your description it looks like a hardware problem. Are you using the original Toshiba battery and AC/DC adapter?

  • Satellite P300 - questions of recognition of load and battery

I have two laptops P300, a PSPCCA-0C502H and a PSPCCA-05Y01Y. One had a hard life and the battery is dead. It was still used for a long time after that, while being connected at all times. The 05Y01Y was mine and the battery eventually would last only 15 minutes. I bought 2 new batteries not authentic to them, but none of the batteries will not charge the original batteries included Tosiba.

It makes no difference that the Toshiba 2 or 2 batteries no authentic that I use or 2 laptops I use, I get the same result. When a battery is made and then the power supply is plugged with the laptop turned off, the battery light is solid orange. After about an hour of charging the battery light starts to blink. If I turn on the laptop where the battery led is a solid orange Vista said "plugged in, not charging" or "not connected" and the battery light starts to blink.

If I unplug the power of laptops will continue running on batteries (batteries not Toshiba for nearly an hour and work only Toshiba battery for 15 minutes) until the dish dead. When the laptop is off, I can plug in the power and charge the battery until the light starts flashing when I have to unplug the power supply and then reconnect it to restart the load. I was not able to get fully charge them the batteries.

I've updated the BIOS that I had read that it can fix the problem, I uninstalled Microsoft control method battery and scanned for changes, I tried cleaning the contacts on the laptop, I tried to turn their removing the battery and unplugging them for a period of time, but none of them seem to work.

It seems odd that the two laptops are doing the same, unless it's a common problem which I hope someone has the solution.

    Hi Berallan,

I hit the same problem as you are. I have two new batteries more original toshiba battery and it still does not support.

I use Windows 7 64-bit. Initially, I thought it was the old battery, and Windows 7, but now it seems that the laptop itself.

    Very weird!

  • New battery for Satellite A40-S270 loads but does not work

My Satellite A40-S270 battery (PA3287U-1BRS) is 4 years old and doesn't work for 2 hours, so I bought a new.
From 2 different companies, they provide a PS2522U, 11.1V 8800 mAH, which is supposed to be compatible 100%.

Fees from the battery to 100%, then when I pull the AC it closes... becomes black.
It does NOT start on battery only. The green light flashes when I push the Start button, but that's all.

I can put the old battery to charge fully, then it will unload fully (2 hours) then load and shoot HQ at any time and it continues to run.

    > My Satellite A40-S270 (PA3287U-1BRS) battery is 4 years old and works only 2 hrs
The laptop can run with old battery 2 hours?
Hey Buddy my laptop only tracks 1.50hours by using the battery power and the battery is not old and doesn't malfunction. There is nothing wrong with your old battery in my eyes.

In addition, you should know that battery life depends on the use of the laptop battery would not last long if the laptop would be used with a maximum performance (using accuracy in car, CPU and CD/DVD display at 100%, etc.)

Back to your question; I think that your batteries are not entirely compatible.
You must take the same battery recommended by Toshiba.

  • Question about the battery life of the Satellite L40-139

It's maybe a stupid question, but I have a portable Satellite L40-139 and the battery lasts less time, is this correct.
In the power management, I chose energy-saving. I used to be a mobile system and it could take 2-3 hours. The answers would be great.

The laptop uses Vista. Am I wrong?
Well, I don't wonder that you can run Notepad only for an hour approximately.
Vista needs for more resources as a BONE at the beginning. In addition, there are a few bugs in Vista, who have a bad influence on the performance of the battery!
You can perform a search in internet for Vista and the problem of battery on laptops and you will find a lot of information.
The same laptop with XP runs twice as long on battery as with Vista.

  • Failed to load the battery satellite L750-

    I bought a L750_ _Satellite a year ago.

Recently I had a problem where, sometimes, the charger will be plugged in but the battery continues to discharge (i.e. * fails to load *).

It's something I've noticed that, * when this happens, both the power and the battery LED will be two startup flashes orange in sync.*

When it occurs, the power icon still says (plugged up, load), but the percentage will continue to decrease over time.

In order to fix temporarily, I can get out and re - insert the power cord and it will continue to support as usual, but thirty seconds later loading will fail again.

What happens and how can I fix this problem?

    Hello

Usually the battery indicator lights up white if the battery is fully charged.
Orange indicates the battery is charging and orange blinking indicates a low battery level.

DC-In (first from left) indicator flashes orange only if the output voltage of the adapter is abnormal or if the computer s his/her power.

Then first of all, you should check if this happens using new, good test adapter.
If it does not, check the battery.

    I have the Satellite L670-1john 3 months.

    How to solve the problem?

    > the battery will discharge when the PC is turned off and unplugged.
    How to understand this?
Does it means 24 hours battery is completely discharged or what?

Battery loses power when the laptop is turned OFF and unplugged and there is nothing unusual.
Enter the BIOS settings and disable Wake up on LAN.

After doing this watch carefully what will happen and let us know if the battery will discharge both than before.
