Satellite L750 - overheating problem

Hello world

I am facing a big problem for several weeks now. Indeed, my computer is overheating.
I have cleaned because I first thought that it was because the fan was full of dust, however, nothing has changed.
The fan is always a lot of noise and hot air of spit.

I use speedfan to check the temperature of the processor and do nothing (just google chrome), my processors easily reach * 65 to 70 ° c *!
[I already reached 85 ° c, with internet and MS Word]

I don't think that the problem is a software that I re-installed W8 2 days.
Now I don't know what to do... any ideas?
Thank you very much for your help! :)

Laptop: Toshiba Satellite L750
System: Windows 8 Pro 64 bit
Processor: i7-2670QM

How to understand this? Your laptop off or just to reach a higher CPU temperature?

I mean until your computer laptop doesn t go off, there is no great reason to panic.
How to use your laptop? Do you use it on the desk or perhaps placed on the bed or on your lap?

  • Satellite L750 - battery problem

I just encountered a problem with my laptop Toshiba which has wonder.

8 months ago, I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite L750.
The laptop has Windows 7 Home Premium, 4 GB of RAM and processor Intel Core2Duo B960.
The laptop has met all my expectations and I was happy with it.

Last night when I took it out, I noticed that the battery had 45 minutes left on it such as measured by battery meter (which I know can be inaccurate). I wasn't worried because I had only a little to do but all of a sudden and without warning my laptop shut down on me.

When I came out the power cord and restarted, there is a warning near the battery icon in the Notification bar system that says something like: "there is a problem with the battery. Switch to HQ in order to avoid the sudden closure and loss of data.

Since I'm already on ca I do not worry and my laptop worked fine but I'm worried.
I've had my laptop for 8 months, and already the battery has failed?
    What happens here?

I know that they are not lacking, but I had computer last for 4 or 5 years.
My girlfriend bought a Toshiba (a cell phone different, I know) two years ago and uses here a lot more hard that I do and the battery's still going strong.

Is this a problem documented with Toshiba or just a stroke of luck for me?
Although I found a very cheap site price * cbatterie.com* I can certainly buy another battery, but I won't be happy if it fails in a short period of time.

    Any ideas on that?
    Thanks for all the help.

As you know autonomy has little time running. On some laptops, it runs on some more long.
We cannot say with certainty what the problem with your battery but watch carefully if the problem persists and if you are sure that the battery is at the end of his life during the first contact the nearest Toshiba service provider, explain the situation and try to get a new one for free.

  • On Satellite L750 battery problem

    Hello

I just bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite L750. The first turn on the indicator of battery said "plugged in, not support." So after reading the forums, I found that I had to update the BIOS I did and now charges the battery. BUT I get about 1 1/2 hours before battery time it goes up to 10% and tells me to plug into the a/c power.

Is this normal? Can I do to solve this problem?

For me these or not questions I should have on a 2 day old machine.

    Thank you.

    > BUT I don't have that about 1 1/2 hours before battery time it goes up to 10% and tells me to plug into the a/c power.

It is normal that if you don t use the battery optimized settings.
Battery working time depends on the use of the laptop.
If the battery needed to dump much faster racing game or a another high-performance application.

You can extend the battery work by reducing the brightness of the display, CPU, GPU and module cooling performance.

  • Satellite L750-201 - problem with update of the BIOS - preparation for Win 8

I have a L750-201 and is eligible for Windows 8. Currently Windows 7.
I thought that I would update to the BIOS (latest version 2.6) in the latest version (3.6), which has some relevant changes to Windows 8, I understand.

I have downloaded the BIOS update file and run. I had several options. One of them was to make the update of Windows, and another was to create a boot CD to do at STARTUP.
I created the CD and rebooted the machine with it. Everything seemed fine, but when the time came to Flash the bios I got the message about the battery must be greater than 10% and the power adapter is connected. If the BIOS update has refused to start.

The problem is the battery was 100% or almost that I had just fully charged it. The power adapter is and powered. So whence the utility to update the BIOS get his info that the dough was less than 10%?
I saw similar posts from other people, but the problem was usually that the battery was in fact less than 10% and that it was not charging. This isn't the case here.

No matter, I thought, I can update the other sense through the windows.
So I started the machine and took the Windows Flash utility. The system gave me the warning usual as planned and then rebooted the machine. He went directly in windows with the "Welcome" splash screen, and then stopped a few moments, then went to a black screen with just the pointer in the middle. I assumed it was something like the fairly active enjoy car light. However, after an age, nothing was. I could go back to the login screen by pressing the power button / standby machine and then turning it back on. My user has been locked, but I could shut down the computer and restart normally. Nothing serious happened. The machine starts very well and Windows does not normally, but BIOS remains unchanged.

Anyone have any idea how to get the update of the BIOS to work? Seems I have to bypass the battery check or why BIOS thinks a battery of 100% is less than 10%.

I have a L750-201 and is eligible for Windows 8. Currently Windows 7.
I thought that I would update to the BIOS (latest version 2.6) in the latest version (3.6), which has some relevant changes to Windows 8, I understand.

L750-201 satellite is part of the PSK6ME series.
I wonder where you found the BIOS v3.60 for this device?
The latest version of the BIOS seems to be v 2.80 - WIN

So from my point of view you try update BIOS INCORRECT.

  • Re: Satellite A60 - overheating problem

    Hello

I have some difficulties to adjust temperature and fan on my Satellite A60.
The operating system is Debian and the fan operates at temperatures of 60-65 degrees Celsius (without any process started after the login).
I had installed utilities like toshutils, fancontrol, lm-sensors... but basically I have not found a solution for this:

    toshiba_acpi #modprobe
    Error: No such device

    Toshiba #modprobe
    Error: No such device

Now, I ask you advice, please.
If there are no alternative solutions, recompiling the kernel 2.6.24 (or other) is a solution to this problem? If the answer is 'Yes', how to prepare the package source?

Now the system works, but not very well at that latitude this question isn't a good prelude to my summer job.

    Best regards

    HM,

already checked the debian/gentoo/ubuntu forums? Or maybe freshmeat.net where toshutils all appear in their projects?

Unfortunately I can't tell you why the modprobe won´t work but don't you compiled the kernel option ACPI from toshiba? It must be something that controls the trough of explicitly from functions ACPI kernel using the userlevel tools.

By the way: have you read newspapers after trying the modprobe of the listed modules you´ve? Please make the modprobe more 'verbose', there may be something usable...

  • Warranty with my Satellite L750-1MT problem

    Hello

November 6 around 10:30 I received my laptop to the service with the following problems:

    1 overheating during operation
    2. a henge of the screen with a small movement of 'against nature '.

The policy of the Service Restart/skin - the representative of the Romanian - States that any problem of the product which is not covered by the warranty, will be noticed as soon as the product obtained in service to the user in 48 h.

November 8 at 11:00, after more than 48 hours, we called for the status of the product.
We were informed that problems are warranty covered, that the necessary elements had been requested as well as to November 15, the laptop will be fixed.

Around 12:00, we asked if we can get the laptop use it until the components are delivered.
We were denied our request and after we received an email in which we have been informed that the second problem is not warranty covered.

I want to say that this situation is not acceptable and as a user, I feel lied to me and missinformed by the service company.

Second of all, I would like to inform you about the bad manners of exploitation used by the tehnician who opened the laptop.
I myself work in a service company for Samsun Electronics Romania and I am aware of the ways to open a laptop.
It isn't okay for a technician not to unscrew the whole laptop and only unscrew the half and pull the top cover and force.

I want to ask you: don't you think it's OK to be informed that the problems are warranty covered and subsequently to find otherwise?

Toshiba Romania said that's not their problem and that it is a problem between me and the service company.

I mean, come on, they chose the service company and that they should also be responsible for their bad customer information.

At this point, I think that nobody cares about my problem and she thinks that these problems happen only here in Romania.

I mean... we don't care your problem, fix it yourself.

So, right now, I feel offended and for sure I will get not all Toshiba products and will offer to everyone not to get a Toshiba.

Please feel free to give me an opinion on my situation.

Sorry for some mistakes, English is my second language.

    Best regards

    Hi axelvanborlo

Thanks for sharing your experience here in the community.
It s Plains always when laptops or other devices start to malfunction.

But in most cases if the warranty is valid, s laptop hardware problems should be resolved free of charge. Where the anomaly did not through his fault, the guarantee must cover the repair. So lets hope that your laptop will be fixed correctly and to your full satisfaction.

  • Satellite L750 - card problem Flash after Windows 8.1 update

I looked at other threads in the forum, but each of them suggests to try drivers (function key) for other laptops, the only way to make it work now is to uninstall the driver function key; but the problem is the wifi and Bluetooth is still on after laptop start on stop or put into hibernation.

and please don't say that the laptop is not in the models supported for update,
I am really disappointed with Toshiba why they supported update of windows 8 and 8.1 not

8.1 is free upgrade all laptops with windows 8 should have drivers.
It was better to leave a total of windows 7 if they were not going to support the heart.

and another completely unrelated problem is that the DVD drive scans for disc every 10-15 minutes, even if its empty this problem was there from the first day on windows 7, after I installed windows 8 he stopped, but after upgrading to 8.1 that he came once again.

is there a solution to this problem?
currently I just disable the DVD drive from Device Manager and activate it when I need it. Sorry for the long post, but I hope you will reply thank you.

    >... but the problem is the wifi and Bluetooth is still on after starting laptop of closing down or put into hibernation
The same thing happen on my mobile Win8.1 supported so I m wondering there is problem for you. If you don't need WLAN just activate airplane mode.

Unfortunately on DVD scanning, I can't say much. I have two laptops with OS Win7 (factory settings) and none of them don't these scans. Did you install additional software that might be responsible for this? Do you use original Antivirus that you got with your laptop?

  • Satellite A30 overheating problem

I've had my A30 for about 9 months now, he is just starting to give me problems. At least I have put the computer on top of some books (which is very heavy) my A30 overheats and shuts down. It only started happening. Is it just because of the dust build up or do I have a technical problem. If this is the first, where should I go to get my computer cleaned? Any help will be received with recognition of Ed

    Hello

Dust clean usually of the heatsink from the CPU using a domestic vacuum hose in the fan air intake grilles.

Alternatively it is possible to remove the heat sink by removing the small plastic cover (adjacent to the air intake grilles) and then by unscrewing the screws in the sink four hest. The heatsink can then be lifted off and removed debris. Ensure that the heat dispering paste is always in place reassembly of the heat sink.

Please do not forget to p [ower off Notepad first.

Today I've used and was surfing the net and the Messnger and bam, it has exploded. Not on again up to 30secs, so what happened there. It was quite hot and it's a very hot day

aren´t there are many things that could be done by yourself. I mean, if your machine is overheating then there could be of the following reasons:

-too much dust in the cooling system
-cooling of grease on the processor has dried
-cooling of grease on the GPU has dried
-too many dust - dry cooling CPU & GPU fat

For the cooling system which is blocked by dust, you can blow some compressed air trough it. But if the cooling paste has dried, then you should send your machine or find at least a technician who has some clues to this topic and change the fat of cooling.

  • Satellite A300 - overheating problem

    Hello

has taken delivery of a 2nd hand (use of the lamp) A300-1hv... whenever I run whatever whether in intensive the laptop overheats and stops.
Fan speed shows all cores clocked at 65 c with normal use... and running Nero or similar it pierces upward and it dies on me...

Now, I managed to understand the power of Vista (finally) settings and assured that he was on a maximum cooling but she still dies...

    Here are my questions

    1. how strong is the fan on these things, I can bearly hear mine all the time and never hear a difference?

    2. is there any application able to handle this better?

    3. someone else has this problem and found a solution

    4. it's less than a year even though I'm not the original owner is still valid warranty for me?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and thanks for your replies

Before you do something, you should try to clean the laptop first using a jet of compressed air. This could blow the dust from the cooling fans then.
You can buy this from a local computer dealer.

Clean from time to time my laptop and I can confirm that the jet of compressed air is very helpful and easy to handle.
Try it and the laptop will not overheat again.

  • On a series of Satellite A overheating problem

Well I posted this problem before thinking it was a problem with my settings of power and using drivers from ATI instead of toshiba, but the problem persisted and I managed to pin point the problem. Whenever I have my laptop running on battery its stone cold, but my battery doesn't last an hour if it is not very useful.
However, as soon as I plug it into an adapter to recharge the battery/run plugged my laptop starts to heat up quickly. Its got to the point where its hot sometimes I can't touch for longer than a second.

Any way to fix this at home or I should send this to toshiba for fixing?

When you connect your laptop to the network, the power management will be changed and your laptop will probably run mode performance. This means that all hardware components will run under full power.

In these circumstances, it is very important how you use your laptop. It should be placed on the desktop and cold air and grill must be free. Air must circulate properly. What you can try is to put your mobile PC to operate under the management of the balanced diet. The performance will still be good, but the equipment will not work with a maximum power.

Play with all these power settings. If the problem persists then I recommend you to contact your local dealer or nearest authorized service partner. They can check your laptop and see exactly what is happening. Sorry, but I don't see another solution.

    Good luck!

  • His trouble on Satellite L750 - 1 hr (PSK2YE)

I have a sound problem impressive and weird: * his good play a while then suddenly stop *.
    + * Well, he stops only to built-in PC speakers * +.

My audio driver is Conexant, and I downloaded from [here | http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU].
What I tried for now to get him back:
    What plays the video/music:
-_stop/pause video or music after 4seconds press play again_
-_move to another application with audio (for example: if his collapsed in media player, go to youtube and ay some video.) it will be work_

From [this | http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU] download driver media I saw for my device are of 2 types of drivers. I tried both of them. Nvidia driver - has not worked for me.--

-I've updated my Conexant driver with that of [here | http://support.toshiba.com/sscontent?contentId=3156758].

_They returned to 'life' if I Plug and unplug headphones_

_underlined_ - means that it works.
-band - it does not work

Note: I can't send my PC Toshiba to check what problem is because I bought my unit of Italy about 2 years, I'm originally from Moldova, Republic of. So, the warranty I can't provide details.

Note 2: I searched the web and have not found a solution.
_The results only managed was [this | http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Audio-Sound/Satellite-L750-sound-problem/td-p/396617].
_ But it seems that this guy has no answer for now too.

    For any question, please provide.
    Looking forward to help you.

    Thank you.

Can you please tell us more about your machine and how all this starts?
What operating system do you use? Do you use original OS that you got with your machine or a clean OS version?

I mean that your machine is two years old. Since when did you notice this sound issue?
    > Well, he stops only to built-in PC speakers.
This means that using headphones or external speakers, everything works correctly?
    > They came back to 'life' if I Plug and unplug the earphones
Input port is placed little switch that detects the external device and disable the internal speakers.
If I m remembering well in Conexant audio manager you can find the option to turn on/off.
Check it please all options and test it a little.

Perhaps this little is pass a real troublemaker.

I bought the version Satellite L750-PSK30E I have same questions regarding other bluetooth L750 problem.
I installed Win 7 PRO - 64-bit, and after each installation driver, I could find under the list of drivers with intel, then the bluetooth driver and then put, but the battery is not correctly, telling me to switch to BT when I
    with FN + F8.
He said I'm keep lack of ToshDpAPI.dll, even if I installed atheros before filter?

Also, when I restart computer wifi get a second, and then said that there is no connection.
When you switch the switch (FN + F8) market it works fine?

Wierdest thing is I installed the same computer, that I bought for my brother and it works fine witout of problems?
    What should I do?
