  I assume that you have downloaded the zip package.
  Rename the package for example in "display driver" and then uncompress the package.
  Then go to the folder where the driver was decompressed and then launch the installation.

  Recently, I tried to update my ATI mobility radeon hd 4500 series of v8.17.x.x.x to v8.6.x.xx.
  I downloaded the drivers but when trying to install nothing happens and the mouse cursor disappears at the bottom right of the screen.

  My specs are:

  Page ATI drivers directly will not work if you use the drivers provided on the official website of Toshiba.

  And in general why you do a update display driver? Is this necessary?

  The problem is that the graphics drivers from Toshiba are distinguished as the graphics of origin for example nVidia drivers.
  Original graphics drivers are designed for desktop use and you may not use these drivers, as they can damage the graphics chip for laptop. Graphics drivers from Toshiba support thermal protection and control the performance of the graphics card.

  As far as I know that this unit has been delivered with a NVidia GeForce4 420Go 32 MB graphics card. You can try to check out the other laptops with the same graphics card and try to use this driver.
  I also found a few topics on the omega drivers. It seems that this could be a good solution, but if you use other drivers, so you can do it at your own risk!

  Why display drivers work and what happens exactly? No work is silent while you get an error message or what is exactly happening?

  On the same page, there is also a document of instructions installation for correct driver installation order.

  By the way: make sure that SP3 is installed before installing the drivers.

  I have some problems with the display driver since I bought the laptop 9 months ago. I tried to install each new driver published on the toshiba site but no driver is running stable on my system.

  The problem is that my laptop crashes with blue screen when playing 3d games and my windows vista tells me that it is the display driver causing accidents.

  I had the previous version of the driver installed several months ago and I think it's more stable than the current version. Unfortunately I lost the files for that one, but I prefer a functional driver for this laptop.

  Hey guys.

  I've updated my display driver at the latest.

  My laptop is the series of psaele A210 - 11 p with the graphics card from ATI 2600HD. Some time ago I got a red screen of death.
  When I rebooted my computer laptop, everything looked different, the Office seemed a bit simpler (color wise etc.; the detail who was in the bar start...)

  In any case, after that, I get rates to around 5-10 on really keen (Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004) when I use it to get above 25 frames per second.

  I'm now using Windows 7 from the original Vista preinstalled. When im in the gameplay, color blocks begin to appear on the screen, scattered on the ground and 3d objects. After about 30 seconds in the gameplay, the desktop freezes and then everything goes black. When my image back upwards again, a message pops up saying that the display driver has met with a problem, or something in that sense.

  So I took it for repair, but the guy said that he saw nothing wrong with the graphics card.
  I also have a laptop cooler but I have to admit, in gameplay it gets HOT.
  I have
  tried to use the robot to pilot of the program to check for outdated drivers, that I might have.
  After updating all the drivers the problem continues to exist.

  In my opinion, the graphics card overheating while game.

  This could be possible if you want to use the non-Toshiba graphics card driver!
  3rd party pages don t graphics card drivers support GPU overheating protection and this could affect the GPU feature!

  I think it's problems because you also mentioned that this laptop gets hot while running a game.

  What to say; back to Toshiba graphics card driver and check if cooling operation modules correctly remove the dust and debris of grilles and fans to ensure better cooling performance.

  I can't find the display driver for windows 8 (last for Windows 7). I know that this laptop is old, but maybe its possible to get the same old driver supporting Windows 8?

  You are right. Laptop is too old and designed for Windows XP Home edition. Toshiba supports much more recent laptops than A100.

  I think you expect too much of this old piece of hardware. In my opinion, you should get Win7 32 bit working on it.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite A660-149 with a Nvida GT330M and Windows 7 64-bit driver.
  TEMPRO gives me updates to download 260,51 drivers from the toshiba site but it says model 3d only. Who doesn't have my portable 3d capabilities. When I go to the NVIDIA site, it says download the 260 drivers. I've also heard you need to install drivers of manufacturing is it true?

  The other problem is that I get an error display sometimes say "display driver stopped responding and recovered." The im driver uses is the 189.58.

  . Been using this version of the driver since I have my laptop on a few months ago.

  As far as I know, that you can install the new display driver from Toshiba Web site 260 because 3D means the 3D on external monitor support and as far as I know it of possible with GT330 M graphics card.

  Laptops are specific products with a specific design and cooling system. Because of this material, the activity is controlled by laptop manufacturer. All laptop manufacturers offer customized display driver to reduce the performance of the graphics card to a reasonable level.

  At top level on performance can produce more heat, overheating and even damage the hardware. This is the reason why it is recommended the use of Toshiba drivers only.

  As you know computers laptops are not designed to be used as servers and because of this Toshiba does not support Windows Server 2003. Just mobile computing words said enough.
  Am I right about that?
