Satellite M300 guarantee for a power adapter broken?

I have some problems with getting a new power adapter.

First of all, I don't know if the warranty covers the power supply.

Second, even if it does, the warranty (I bought a Toshiba Satellite M300, which came with a 1 year warranty, about 360 days ago) may expire before I can get the card sent to a Service Center for repair of toshiba in Victoria (I live in Tasmania.

Thirdly, I tried to call until the call line of Toshiba which was given to me by the store, I bought the laptop, but after having pierced the numbers to get a representative human (and I tried several combinations) I had absolute silence from the other end of the phone, so I can't get all the answers to all your questions and I have no idea where to send the broken adapter.

The standard warranty is one year. So if your warranty is still valid you should get in touch with a local ASP (certified partner) in your country and have to ask for help.

    Can you use it for laptop with AC power only when the battery is removed?
    If so, boot up your laptop and when the operating system is loaded to put battery inside, wait a few minutes and disconnect the power supply.
