Satellite M40 crashes when you play

My laptop broke down after 5 min of game COD2 or for example 2006 FIFA World Cup. I think it's video card problem. It comes with an ATI Mobility Radeon X600SE 128 MB up to 256 MB.

Upon entry to view the properties of the driver it shows only 128 MB of ram, it is correct? or should it shows 256 MB?
Is the video card gets extra ram of the system up to 256 MB automatically?

Any idea or advice how to fix this problem?

Hello

I put t know what happens with your game exactly but try to fix the graphics settings to lower the level because you can not expect so high performance as with the graphics cards for desktop computers.

Please check tool system information you will find under the heading Accessories > system tools. Here you can see the info on graphics card. Info about 128 MB should be correct. This value is also in the laptop specification M40.

  • Qosmio X 500 - blue screen or system crash when you play

I have problems with my new laptop.
The laptop is a week and I get frequent blue screen errors and system crashes when you play.
At this time I only tried to play a game: World of Warcraft.

    I have run on:
The original that came pre-installed graphic drivers.
The latest updated drivers from the Web from Toshiba site.
The latest drivers for laptop on the Nvidia site.
I also removed all the drivers and allowed Windows update to find it's own who have a different version again.

In these four cases, drivers seem to work fine for a while, but will eventually stop responding and the system crash when I start to play a game.
It happens shortly after the start of a game and other times it can happen after a few hours of game play.
Sometimes it will result in a blue screen, sometimes the game will change from windows with the error message on the display driver does not.

I also did a clean installation using my own copy of Windows 7 with the amount of the absolute minimum of software installed to rule anything that might cause a conflict which was preinstalled.

I also tried to run to run the game in compatibility mode, although I had no problem with my laptop last run the game in Windows 7.

The windows event log always indicates a problem with the graphics.

Did someone else has similar problems or found a solution?
For a laptop that is announced for the game, I would have thought that this kind of thing would not be a problem.

    Hey,.

In my opinion, it has something to do with the display driver or the graphics card itself I always use the most recent display of the official website of Toshiba (NOT nvVidia) driver because they are pre-tested. If you install the latest driver from Toshiba.

After this also make sure that you use the latest version of the BIOS. You can download on the official website of Toshiba too.

I put t know how long you have your laptop, but it should be cleaned from time to time (3-4 months). Therefore, you can use jet of compressed air to blow off the dust.

    Hi all...

Since the 12.5.1, update any when I play music over the airtime to one of my devices AirPlay after ten minutes or so, iTunes hangs on my iMac. I have had three accidents on three times when I played the music in this way, since the update.

Of course, I could use some advice on how to approach this. It is even possible to go back to my old iTunes?

Furthermore, I played music over airtime all the time before the update with iTunes ever crashing. In addition, a few anecdotes:

    Hello Brent,.

Thank you for your participation in the communities of Support from Apple.

I see that iTunes is leaving after an update when you play songs to AirPlay devices. Let's try some troubleshooting steps to help isolate and resolve the cause of the error.

If you haven't done so already, don't forget to restart your network devices and receivers of the AirPlay. For AirPort Extreme, I suggest a "soft reset" for now as mentioned in resetting an airport station base FAQ.

Then try the AirPlay test in safe mode and a new account on your Mac user. The following steps can help to eliminate software conflicts in your user account and can give us an indication of the additional troubleshooting steps to try then.

You can use this Support article as a guide to complete both of these steps-How to test one question in another user on your Mac account.

When it comes to tests in a new user, you need to import a few songs in iTunes for testing library. Here are some links to help with the signing in music Apple or download past purchases:

    Download your latest purchases

    Turn on iCloud music library

    Best regards.

  • All computer crashes when you play Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 (Blue Blue without seeing screen?)

When you play Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 , my laptop Toshiba Satellite A215-4757 freezes (sometimes after about half an hour, or sometimes less than 5 minutes).  The game has worked until I upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (earlier version of windows: Vista Home Premium 32-bit .)  As far as I know, all my drivers are updated and regular, programs such as Firefox and Outlook will work perfectly.  I'm not sure my other full-screen games, as I have not tried to play them again.

I have the game in compatibility mode for XP SP2, but before that I did, the same error occurred.

The error when I finally force close and turn on the computer named blue screen (although when the computer froze, there was no blue screen, just the image of the frozen game, and the sound was still running like nothing happened.)  I don't remember the other information contained in the error.

    Chronology of the error:

    • I opened the game and it loads fine.
    • I go through the menus and select the park that I want to play and it loads fine.
    • I'll be working or seeking / everything I do at the Park, when suddenly it freezes.
    • I turned off the computer and turn it back on.
    • Startup takes a little longer than normal.
    • Windows opens the error message (which I don't remember the details.)

More precisely what I mean by freeze (obvious, maybe, but just try to be specific as possible):

    • No mice.
    • Without ctrl alt del ability.
    • No capacity alt tab.
    • No windows key capability.
    • Necessary to force to stop with the button on the computer.

Any suggestions?  Also, I'm not sure what other information you need to know, so if there are more details, just ask.

    Thank you.

    Hello coasterfreak220,

Unfortunately, Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 is not compatible with Windows 7. You must have the Windows xp mode in order to install and run it.

  • Satellite L675 crashing when you do whatever it is the linked graphics

    Hello

I recently got a new Satellite L675 and am stuck with problems.

    I am running * Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit SP1 * and it has a Mobility Radeon HD 5650.

As I received the laptop, it would crash when doing something that contains a little graphic, IE running Windows Experience Index, certain opening excel docs and even to open games.

The laptop was running windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition (where the problem already taken place) and decided that a new facility would be sorting. However, this is not the case.

    I have the latest video drivers, which can be found [here | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 2 & selSeries = 178 & selProduct = 5414 & selSh ortMod = 988 & language = 13 & selOS = 30 & selType = 11 & yearupl = DST & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = all Machines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = all & selectedLanguage = 13 & type = 11 & page = 1 & ID = 74607 & DISO = 3 0 & driverLanguage = 42].

On a side note, when you run dxdiag, it shows the system model is L670, L675 and not like the label under States. Don't know if this is normal, however the display drivers work for both models.

Also I sent again to where it was purchased and they did tests of material and there is nothing wrong with the hardware.

You can replicate this problem or not the laptop down occasionally and only from time to time?
What happens exactly? Do you get a BSOD?

I think that if you are not able to reproduce this problem, it would be really hard for the tech guys check the hardware
However, it's really unusual that runs any application causes the crash then maybe his hardware issue in this case I recommend asking Toshiba ASP (service) for assistance.

  • Crashes when you play.

The failure blue screen comes when I play games on and offline.  It has a different pattern each time.  IRQL and others!  I run scans on a daily basis, and they don't find anything.  I don't know what else to do!  Help, please!

Without knowing the text of Stop errors, I can't give you a precise answer. Get diverse and different errors Stop usually indicates a hardware failure, that's where I would start troubleshooting. The RAM should be tested first, then the video card.

On tests of hardware failures often alleged swapping parts by parts checked. If you can not do the test yourself and/or are uncomfortable opening your computer, take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). If possible, have all your data backed up before taking the machine into a shop.

If you need more assistance please provide a description of your computer and its hardware. Also answer the first Question of troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what has changed between the time things worked and the time they do not have?

  • Qosmio X 305 crashes when you play

I have a problem, whenever I play a game, my laptop goes down, it only lasts 10 minutes of game (like COD 4, GOW, Crysis) and need me a black screen where I need to do a hard reboot.

I tried, change drivers, control my temperature, even a reinstall of windows vista...

I bought this laptop in the United States and request that my warranty is a bit hard here to the Mexico.

    Hey Buddy,

Don t be worry about the cleaning of the laptop. It s a pretty easy procedure and that is why it s not necessary to disassemble the camera because you only need compressed air spray. This could blow the dust from the cooling fans, if you blow softly and soon the air through the case. This jet of compressed air, you can buy every computer store.

I had a similar problem on my Qosmio F50 and the reason was dust because I used it for 6 months without cleaning. After the use of all compressed air jet was going well again.

Furthermore it is important to use the latest Toshiba display drivers. They are pre-tested and work well.

  • L50-B-1 p 1 satellite graphical artifacts when you play.

    Nice day

Bought a refurbished Satellite P L50-B-1 1 almost 3 weeks (20 days to be precise).

At startup, the laptop preform as expected, however if left running for a period of time and you can start any application that allows the secondary GPU, AMD Radeon R7 M260 in this case, some graphical artifacts vertical are present.

The only way to get past this is to do a windows restarts.

GPU drivers have been updated and all the other drivers and BIOS.

Don't think that it is associated with temperature, such as in most of the cases the laptop remained idle.

Any ideas or advice on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to test with external display or TV? It would be interesting to know if this problem is visible on internal or external display as well.

If possible, test and send feedback.

  • Laptop overheating and crashed when you play.

Original title: accidents to play games

play the following games after a short while my laptop gets hot and turns off. <3d cant="" initialize="">and checking compatibility received the message that my not compatible with WDDM.i graphics driver am quite confused and would appreciate any opinion that could help me to identify the problem. {} computer hp laptop compaq pressario cq61, windows 7-64 bit, dual pentium core 2 CPU 2.2 ghz 4096 RAM, directx 11, nvidia geforce g103m 512 MB}.

This is the latest driver from NVIDIA WHQL: http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-win7-winvista-64bit-260.99-whql-driver.html. HP/Compaq, offers a few very old drivers. You may need to update your DX configuration, too - have DX 11 is installed, does not say that you have all the necessary files for games running on DX 10/09/11. Download the DirectX Runtime Webinstaller tohttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3 and let it install possibly missing files (updated for periodic most * of .dll).

Regardless of these recommendations, the overheating problem seems more related to a hardware and a software problem. With insufficient a bad driver or a version of DirectX, you will not be able to play your games - but how that overheats your system? (Btw, safe mode is for diagnosis and troubleshooting only. It uses a standard graphics mode that is not compatible with new games).

It seems that the issue could be with the file to install the game. I suggest you to uninstall the game and then get the new installation disc. Reinstall the game using the new drive and see if that fixes the problem.

  • New Satellite L50T-A196 is overheating eapecially when you play

    Hello

My Satellite L50T-A-196 stop only after overheating, especially when you play (for example, civilization 5 or Football manager 2014). This occurs during the use of the normal laptop.

I'm not blocking the fans; in fact, I always lift the laptop in order to ensure that they are not blocked.

What I ve realized that I also installed NVIDIA and Intel graphics cards, and I can't make the NVIDIA one by default. I don't know if this is related to the issue or not m.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    > What I ve realized that I also installed NVIDIA and Intel graphics cards, and I can't make the NVIDIA the default

    It's very easy.
Right click on the desktop and select Nvidia Control Panel
In Nvidia Control Panel on the left choose 3D-> set PhysX configuration settings

Now in the main window, select a PhysX processor you can choose between Nvidia Gforce, Intel GPU (part of the CPU) or Auto Select.
In case you want to use only nVidia GPU, choose Nvidia Gforce
In case you want to use only Intel GPU, choose CPU
    Apply the settings

Then click on manage 3D settings and here in the main window, you will see two tabs: global settings and the settings of the program.
In the global settings tab, you can choose the favorite graphics processor.
In the program settings tab, you can choose the GPU for a single application. For example, you can choose the GPU to be used while playing a special match.

Hope this helps to choose the right GPU and to avoid overheating.
