Satellite M40 (PSM40): where to find a NVidia display driver?
On the way to update my driver, I uninstalled old, but the driver I found on the nVidia site will not work. (The error message: "Setup nVidia didn't find all the drivers that are compatible with your current hardware.) The installation program will now stop. »)
I then searched a driver on the Toshiba site, but are all there drivers ATI or Intel. So, when I check my system, it does not find my video card (I use the method of debugging) and there is nothing other than the basic thing of VGA.
It's scary because I know that you can not change the graphics card, and if I can't fix this, then I'm screwed. =/
Video card: nVidia GEFORCE FX 6600 (which I can't find on the nVidia site)
Very strange can you please post you detailed name (number of your laptop)?
I searched the Satellite M40 with graphics card nVidia but didn t find any model
I also checked the Toshiba driver page and didn t find all the graphic drivers for the nVidia card.
You will not be able to install the original graphics drivers on the graphics card manufacturing site because the graphics drivers from Toshiba are a bit changed.
What drivers graphics omega? Have you tested it?
I'm sorry for stupid question, but I don't know what to do. I have the Satellite P500-12F.
I tried to download the new graphics drivers for the NVidia card, I went to the site of NVidia and downloaded a new driver, which dates back to December 2009, instead of mine, which is July 2009, however, when I try to install it, the system indicates that Joana does no hardware that is compatible with the new driver.
Could you tell me, what am I doing wrong? I could use any guidance as well. Thank you very much!
Why you try to use the nVidia display driver? These drivers are not pre-tested on the laptop and installation is at your own risk! In the worst case, you could destroy the graphics chip.
As Akuma written already using the latest drivers Toshiba because they are pre-tested.
Why you want to update the display driver? You are not satisfied?
Remember: never change a running system! ;)
I have a new Satellite A300-08WB and I don't know which driver to download from the download from toshiba site.
According to my system, I have the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650
There is more than one ATI driver and I am puzzled as to what one to download
What is cell complete model number?
You can find it at the bottom of the device that it begins with PSAxxx-xxxxxx
By the way; On the European Toshiba driver page, you can find the ATI display drivers.
If you check the details (red arrow on the right for the driver) then you will find all the details about the only drivers.
See you soon
I need help to find the right driver form. My graphics card is: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 and I have Satellite L500 120 PSLJ3E

You can get all the drivers on the Toshiba website for your laptop. I checked this and the website to show a new driver for your graphics card.
Check this box:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers
If you are looking for by Satellite L500 and PSLJ3E, you will find one that suits. ;)
I'm trying to run a game and I got the driver NVIDIA ForceWare 163.44.
My laptop has a NVIDIA 7600 Go and I can only find 97.54
Is there any other driver updates for my laptop model or a place where I can the latest drivers that will work?
I think that these updated drivers are not so good for laptops because they don t have a protection against overheating and if the graphics chip can be damaged.
So it s your risk and peril to install these drivers.
Just for info ;)
I'm going through many discussions here
(for example, http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=25749)
But I can not all drivers referred to work, I lived about three downloads.
I'm working on an A200 PSAE3A - 07M 007, a teacher who have requested to be downgraded to XP so that school software can work on it.
I also looked at the Intel site, trying to find out which Chipset Intel is on this laptop, they said to go into the Device Manager, expand System devices and look for the Intel channel, here is what I found:
Intel (r) 82801 PCI Bridge - 2448
Intel(r) 82802 Firmware Hub Device
Intel(r) ICH8 Family PCI Express Root Port 1 - 283F
Intel(r) ICH8 Family PCI Express Root Port 2 - 2841
Intel(r) ICH8 Family PCI Express Root Port 3 - 2843
Intel(r) ICH8 Family PCI Express Root Port 4 - 2845
Intel(r) ICH8 Family PCI Express Root Port 5 - 2847
Intel(r) ICH8 Family SMBus Controller - 283E
Mobile Intel (r) PM965 / GM965 / GL960 Express Processor to DRAM Controller - 2A 00
As you can see, it's hard to tell which is the right one and find the right driver for the drive SATA is painful.
Anyone here know what I should download to put on my external floppy drive so that when I hit F6 during installation of Xp professional, it will actually fill?

I wonder really you were not be able to find it.
So let this next logical step:
-Obviously, you have mobile Australian model visit the to THE Toshiba support page and NZ
-Choose laptop > Satellite A200-(PSAE3A)
-Follow the list with 52 drivers listed, and in the Middle, you'll find some DCIS XP F6 Install Tool
I think this is what you need. Check it out!
I tried to complete the download several times for the nVidia Display Driver 126.96.36.199.
First where installation is not complete citing «that this computer doesn't have the correct material...» ', then the Windows message came and said that "If this configuration is not completely successful click blabla" and I did.
Now when I run the installation it always stops in the same place. But now it is said that * "Setup cannot be performed because this driver only works on Windows Vista, and is not Windows Vista. But the thing is I have Windows Vista! *
Current display driver: Mobile Intel (r) Express ChipSet Family 945GM
Laptop model: Satellite P105-S6177
Operating system: Windows Vista 32-bit
> Current display driver: Mobile Intel (r) Express ChipSet Family 945GM
And then you want to install a nVidia display driver?
I think that you can not install a nVidia display driver because your laptop is equipped with an Intel chipset and graphics card.
You will never be able to install nVidia display driver and thus make the message that you do not have the correct material.
Intel and nVidia graphics cards graphics cards are different things, so don't mix do not!
Some P105 was equipped with nVidia cards and others with Intel card and it seems that you have an Intel card.
I downloaded and installed the latest nvidia display driver for my laptop that has nvidia gforce 420 GB and I have install the driver was the 36,48 v when I start to the top of the poster are bad and we = hen I connect it says Error loading nview no nvidia hardware not detected on the primary monitor if you are running on nvidia card please make sure that it is configured to be primary. What should I do when I have the access control panel nevidia Office Manger and check the box that the message happens again then I restart and the graphics are fine, but after about 5 boot up it goes back to the graphocs rubish and message appears again.
what I'll do!
Have you installed the driver for the Toshiba page?
If so visit the Toshiba driver page and download the driver.
It s not recommended to use NOT Toshiba graphics cards drivers.
Then I recommend to check the display properties, if the screen of the laptop has been on the primary monitor. Mark the display with the digit 1 and check the option use this device as the primary monitor has been activated.
Also, check in the Advanced tab nView option if the nView mode has been upgraded and that make the main display has been enabled for the screen of the laptop.
I recently decided to update and perform a clean installation of Windows Vista on my Portege M200, now that Toshiba have released official drivers for this machine.
Everything works fine, EXCEPT the nVidia display driver. I have the following questions with the driver Toshiba provides for this machine (97.52 version):
(1) when the screen turns off to save power, the backlight does NOT turn off. Screen turns off but the backlight will stay lit.
(2) for the recovery of the standby mode, the backlight is OFF. You must use the shortcuts Fn-F6/F7 to change the backlight level manually, that will bring him back.
(3) external monitor does not work (with command Fn + F5 or nVidia control panel). External display is always blank.
(3) video playback in WMP is very chopped (a secondary concern for me).
Is there a chance that Toshiba could finally get a updated driver that would set out the? That would really make this machine fully functional in Vista.
Thanks in advance for any help or information.
> Are there opportunities that Toshiba could finally get out an updated driver?
I noticed that from time to time new updates of pilot (any series of notebook) are released on the European driver Toshiba page and, therefore, I m optimistic that new updates are available
But note; usually, various problems can be resolved by installing some patches MS Vista and missing patches.
Then visit this [MS update website | http://www.update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us] and check if all the patches are installed.
I need to format my Toshiba M40 - PSM40, but I don't have the drivers, can someone give me the drivers this template pack?
I hope that little assistance!
Why you n t check page pilot European Toshiba?
There are all the drivers that are required for this unit.
I presume you didn't search in the area of the Archive. Is this good?
Well, seems that the drivers have been moved to archive because the M40 is a little old series.
L50 - B satellite - 2 2.
preinstalled Windows 8.1
Where can I find the "Recovery Media Creator"?
I found a description how to use but none where to find...
Start please help Desktop > support & recovery > and you will find the recovery media creator.
You can also find if you use search option.
Check it out please.
I can't find any reference to the M40 model PSM43A - 11000H drivers on any website of Toshiba.
The most appreciated assistance.
It seems that you have a Satellite M40, you have a Satellite M43. Model number PSM43A - 11000H I can find on the Australian Toshiba page:
http://www.MyToshiba.com.au > Support > downloads
So search for Satellite M43 and then you can find all the drivers! :)
Where to find drivers for Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 drivers?
We cannot choose this model in the support page...
The drivers for this laptop Satellite Pro 4600 series are on the European driver Toshiba page.
The laptop seems to be an oldie and therefore you should take a look in the _ * Archives * _ folder!
I put t really know if this is the right place to post this?
I have a satellite Pro L100. I had for about 2 years.
On the first day, I had problems with plastics in the screen and the "lid" two cracks they been replaced twice.
Today already, I need to buy a new one but I run problems trying to find part numbers.
I know as L100 model number but they keep asking for a number three-digit and I have no idea where to find it.
So on that help in would be great.
Also how can I find the part number for the plastics?
It happened at the stage where the screen is about to fall!
Please help, thanks
Usually the laptop model number and serial number are at the bottom of the device!
There are different labels and one of the labels should provide these figures.
Then you can contact the Toshiba ASP in your country to order framework compatible display.
I put t know the part number, but I m the ASP would be able to help you

I have a laptop Satellite A200-10W. Now I have vista x 86 installed, but I want to switch to windows 7 64 bit, but I don't know where to find the drivers because on the Web site, I can't find these.
Can someone help me? How can I use sound card, network card, webcam and others if I don't have these drivers?
I checked the page Toshiba, Satellite A200-10W belongs to the PSAECE series and so I was able to find only the Vista 64 bit drivers:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers
Normally, these drivers are also working on Windows 7, then you should try. Perhaps all will work them and if you have Windows 7 with all the drivers. :)
