Satellite on L9W - B - unrecognized keyboard dock Mini

Looks like I'm the only display on my Mini click!

I got it within a week and I just launched on this issue. My keyboard dock is not recognized. When I snaps, it recognizes the SD card, but it does not recognize the keyboard or mouse input, or battery (battery #2 absent). When I snaps, it disables key keyboard (I guess that Windows does when it detects a keyboard?) but I can't type or use the mouse for input.

The Tablet/keyboard were working right up until this morning with all aspects works as expected. It's strange because

I had updated the BIOS and applied all the updates driver, I have turned off the new (with dock attached and only) and my last attempt was to do a clean install of Windows, but none of this solves the problem.

Any thoughts?

Now I'm confused. All of a sudden it works again! I'll leave this thread open in case there are updates. Do not hesitate at the height of your ideas on why this happened. It could have been fixed when I train (and fault) to access BIOS and I was turning works several times...

... maybe the dock (keyboard) didn't was not inserted (connected) correctly?
It's perhaps one of the possible reasons...

    Hello

I'm here to inform a huge problem with the keyboard.
To play some games like Minecraft you will have to press certain keys (WASD to walk and jspace jump), but the keyboard automatically release all keys when a key is released.

Only the special keys like Ctrl, shift, Fn or Alt works.
I checked it with an app like Keyboardtest, then it is definitely a keyboard problem.
I also checked with external keyboard and it works.

I hope that this problem will be solved, it's really a bad problem, what the hell is - this.

    Thank you

    Just to clarify your keyboard:
You're talking about on the keyboard of the Tablet (touch screen keyboard) and not the keyboard dock.

    Right?

Go to the Windows classic desktop (not the tile-GUI modern), look for the battery indicator in the taskbar at the bottom right, double click it to expand, and it shows the status of the two batteries.

  • W30T-A-101 - battery #2 satellite: Absent - even when it is docked

After his return from the first W30T-A-101 because of his failure, we are now on a second unit.

The second unit appears not to recognise the second battery in the keyboard; or there is a problem with Windows 8.1 and the material.

Battery #1 watch load/load in connected or disconnected mode.

Battery No. 2 is ALWAYS showing "Absent" even when the section of the Tablet is rooted in the keyboard.

As suggested on the forums, we have detached and rebooted, to no avail.

Toshiba failed to load the required drivers, or think that we still have another laptop with a failure?

Satellite W30T has a power supply in the screen and another unit of battery in the base.
Usually the two batteries must be present and must be recognized and billed.

Please note that there are two connectors DC: one in the Tablet and the second in the keyboard dock.
Please connect the power adapter into the keyboard dock to check the State of charge of battery.

  • Satellite A500 / big problem with keyboard

Hello everyone, first sorry for my English, I'm French!

Anyway, since 2 days now my Satellite A500 has a big keyboard problem and I don't know how to fix it. I used it as usually, just cleaned each week arriving at work with a simple cloth and after starting my computer, when I started typing, I realized that the keyboard has disappeared as a "madman".

Some keys are reversed, others like the space bar just doesn't work anymore, capslock button now unlock with the key has and another example, when I press D writes 'CD' and other stuff like that. It is simply impossible to type correctly. I'm running on Windows 7, I have the first test to look for any kinf of viruses, vain, so I formatted my hard drive, reinstalled Windows 7, then after I did the update to the Bios and now everything is clear and clean, but the keyboard problem is still there.

The fact is that I have this laptop since August 2009 and my warranty no longer applies, so before I should send my computer to any computer repair store I want to know if it's really a problem of keyboard/equipment which can be fixed, "softwarely" or if there is always some kind of alternative for me.

Thanks to all for your future responses.

    Hello

    Crazy keyboard?
Hmm. Don t think that it s software or related bios looks more keyboard problem.
You can try to plug an external USB keyboard to check if the problem would be also available
If it s not available using the external USB keyboard, then it s internal problem of keyboard and the part needs to be replaced.

Keyboard replacement is not difficult. The keyboard is secured by two or three screws that are hidden under the cover of thin plastic above the F1 - F12 buttons.
Remove the plastic cover, remove the screws, lift the keyboard, disconnect the cable (notice, two tiny locks on the connector needs to be moved).
Then, you would be able to remove the cable of the flat keyboard which is connected to the mobo.

But if you have no experience, then you this replacement must be done by laptop computer technician.

    Welcome them

  • Acer Iconia W5 keyboard Dock does not charge

When it is plugged to the mains the keypad will not charge but if plugged directly on the Tablet it will load. Windows sees the battery when it is anchored well. Seems to have stopped all of a sudden.

If you are not able to charge your W5 via the keyboard dock, then it may be a problem with the dock and must be repaired or replaced. If the system is under warranty, please contact technical support for assistance.

  • [SOLVED] Acer Iconia W5 keyboard dock

Please tell me Acer there a few thought about it and added a little more cells (batteries) at the keyboard... ?  It has space and it weighs a bit, thinking that he might have to them?  I know that when I unplug the Tablet from the keyboard/dock, the blue light remains lit or is that repeat the State of the light of the Tablet?

Well, I had not noticed until now, when I clicked on the taxation symbol on the bar he spots has a battery (s) on the keyboard!  That's great news!  Thans Acer for thinking about it!

  • Keyboard dock does not charge on the propeller

I had the power drain from the dock, there remains 5% tablet.  When you try to load with tablet in dock, to restart, it would say error fan of keyboard dock, press F1 to continue.

Only problem is that the dock was dead and don't react only not to the presses.  Loaded my Tablet plugged directly on the charger overnight which worked well but an hour now in charge just the dock and nothing.

Does anyone else have this problem until the word is supported?

Looks like I solved my problem, reset the battery with the hole of a paper clip on the back.  Took a few tries, having to go back really in there, so I was worried about it, but then the LED on the "Thinkpad" logo blinked, restarted with the tablet to dock and now work.

Word to the wise, do not completely drain the battery of the dock

  • Looking for a way to test the keyboards with mini-DIN connectors 6-pin!

My wife has an older Compaq Presario with 1.0 GB of RAM and a 200 GB hard drive.  I recently bought a HP with 4 GB of RAM and a hard drive 1.0 TB.  This is a sweet machine after you run the old PC for years! All my devices connect with USB Sockets. I have also my old Presario is almost double right at my wife, who is running XP with SP3 update.  We mainly use it for my magicjack phone I've used since 2008 and love! It still works great.  Our problem is that we have 3 keyboards with mini-DIN connectors 6 old pins that were standard until the entire passage to USB.  Not one of these keyboards is recognized by one of our PC. My wife's XP, but we have just upgraded to Windows 7 Professional for her.  What I want to know is if there is any test I can do also try another PC, because none of our PC recognize one of these keyboards who all worked in the past. Could we have somehow lost or damaged drivers for these keyboards? I was actually just an adapter I have that connects to the end of a usb connector, so it can be connected to the mini-DIN plug 6-pin on the PC.  When I do cela none of usb keyboards we have and which work fine work! So the problem must be some kind of internal problem as drivers, etc..  I'm just a rookie, so if someone can tell me how to proceed with troubleshooting and find a way to solve this problem we would greatly appreciate it!  Hate junk keyboards that work very well when there must be a way to solve this problem!  Thanks for any help!

  • Satellite on L9W Mini - B - keyboard does not

Hi all help im necessary feeling a bit thick... Recently upgraded to windows 10

Yesterday noticed that keyboard, touchpad and the battery did not work properly.

I solved the trackpad by using system of toshiba drivers

I solved the battery by updating the Bios and 1.7

However, the keyboard has me out of what little hair I have left...

I can't get the keyboard to respond that the system drivers would be in trouble, I have my case they have set the trackpad so.

Any help to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated...

    regardsx

Have you tried to install the drivers for the Intel platform listed for Windows 8. I seem to remember that they were necessary when I did a clean update

  • Satellite on L9W Mini - B - couldn't pass it until the battery is completely discharged

    Hello

I have the following problem with my Satellite click Mini L9W - B - happened already twice.

I suspect that this may be connected to a Windows 8.1 setting. It may also be that it is BIOS associates.

PROBLEM: if I leave the phone in standby mode (by simply close the lid), then if I do not use it for a while (> 10 hours) and then after that I could not turn on laptop - it simply does not meet all the keys including the power on button. It does not matter that I connect the power or unplug it, I still can't turn on the laptop, as it doesn't matter I have try with or without connected keyboard. BUT: the battery on the back on the screen is hot, so of course the laptop is not off completely and something (i.e. windows sleep mode or bios or something else) keeps me to turn it on.

The solution I have at the moment is to leave the laptop for a very long period offline (to drain the battery completely - it will be not hot not more!) and then connect the power and then it will be able to turn it on. Otherwise, open the cover of the screen and manually disconnect the battery and connecting it then still also work. After that, the laptop can be marketed and works very well.

Of course, it is not very good because to wait very long (several days!) or to open the lid isn't really a good option when you need the laptop!

    Can you help me?

Maybe it's something to do with some Windows power saving features?

    Thank you very much!

There is a quick fix rather than wait for the battery drain...

Hold down the power button / stop for about 20-30 seconds. That the material should turn off power completely allowing you to turn it back on.

Updated the bios with the latest version and apply all windows updates after that, it can solve the problem of sleep bug

  • Satellite click L9W Mini-B - how do I find my BIOS Version?

I am trying to determine what version of BIOS that I have in my Mini of click on Satellite, but I can't work out how to do it.

It has been suggested that the Tablet part and the detachable keyboard separated BIOS and sometimes we get updated but not the other and that can cause problems, so I'll try to see what versions of BIOS my Mini click.

I hope that it is easy to identify once you know how.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can check the version of the BIOS in the BIOS settings.
Press the power button / power off, then F2
This will allow you to access the BIOS.
You will see the current version.
