Satellite P100: Question on the CPU temperature

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite P 100 (processor bicoeur T5 2000 MHz Yonah, Nvidia Geforce go 7900 gs 512 MB of ram, 2 GB of ram, 120 sata HDD,)
Temperature can I get everest software is: cpu 58 deg. C, gpu. 70deg. C hdd.44deg.C
The room temperature is 28 degrees c

When I try to run any game temp become salvation. I have not receive any stop until now, but something is strange with gpu cooler: start coolig only when gpu temp become too hot.
I put the cooler Bios in performance.
Can someone help me with this?
Please and
Best regards

Hello

It is a normal process that the temperature rises when you play games.
All the measures implemented should run with maximum efficiency and produce heat.
There is nothing unusual.

I don't think that the temperature is hot. The fan starts to cool the CPU if the temperature rises to a particular level. Cooling modules does not run all the time. If the laptop gets hot the operating system should automatically stops the unit. It is a thermal protection which is a part on Toshiba laptops.
But if the laptop works properly and it closes then I guess we're all ok.
Enjoy your laptop ;)

  • Satellite L40 - question about the CPU temperature

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L40 17 Q with Intel Celeron M CPU.

The usual device temperature is about 60 degrees Celsius. I read that the Tj to this type of processors is 100 degrees Celsius.

So my question is dedicated to the owners of laptops equipped with Intel Celeron M processors and of course for the hardware gurus.
Is the operative temperature of 60 degrees Celsius of normal, and if not how do I decrease.
My laptop is new and I make sure that the air flow openings are not jammed.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello

Don't worry, the CPU temperature. 60 degrees Celsius is certainly within the normal range, and there is no reason to worry about this. On my laptop Tecra, I noticed the temperature CPU about 62 degrees Celsius and drive HARD around 40 degrees Celsius.

  • Satellite A30 - question about the CPU temperature

    Hi all

I have a Satellite A30 (model name: SA30-151, model number: PSA33E). I had the usual problems with overheating and closing, where I had to clean the radiator.

My question is, how hot the CPU must sit at and what temperature is dangerous?

I installed 'Hardware sensors Monitor' and the average temperature is about 55 c, but I saw it happen at 70 c when I'm pushing it.

I was not able to find something on the net about it and I can't find information on the Toshiba site.

Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks...

The same temperature is on my Tecra M1. Believe me, there's really no reason to panic.

  • Satellite L850-046 - question about the CPU temperature

    Hi Experts,

I bought the Toshiba laptop 9 months ago, but now notice the temperature warms. I check the software Toshiba Health Monitor and the CPU temperature range of 46 to 53%, fan speed 50%-63%.

    Is - this normal readings?

I am now using a desk fan pointing in the vents hoping that additional traffic can maintain better temperatures.

What would be the ideal and the overheating of the readings to look out for.

    Thank you very much

Because cell phone use for 9 months, I recommend you to clean the cooling fans.
The fact is that from time to time the dust and debris that may affect the performance of the cooling fans, and this could lead to a higher temperature.

I clean my fans from time to time using a jet of compressed air.
It helps to get rid of dust and to lower the temperature.

  • Satellite M40x: Question about normal CPU temperature

    Hello

Can someone tell me what is the normal operating of the processor (Intel Pentium M 730 1.6 GHz) for the Satellite M40x series?

    Hello

Well, it's not easy to say what the normal temperature may be because it depends on the central unit using performance. If the CPU works more with the performance of 100% if the CPU temperature is higher.
Also, I found this very interesting site on different processors and maximum temperature of the cover.

  • Satellite M100 - I can't analyze the CPU temperature

I am a Toshiba Satellite M100 series owner (Core Duo T2300, X 1400, etc.). The problem is that I can't analyze the CPU temperature variations in such popular application such as Everest or Notebook Hardware Control. Also any other software provided by Toshiba and installed already on my HARD drive does not include some CPU diagnostics, including temperature changes!

The only software that seems to work is the HWiNFO32 so there is a thermal probe inside which specifies that Centrino Duo processor temperature, but this software is not very user-friendly :(

There is a request for Toshiba do something with this... I've updated the BIOS in my template for a version 1.70, but this does not change I could easily noticed (or is he?)  :(

    Hello

In most cases applications can give you info on the hardware and the different settings but the temperature of the CPU in most cases is not visible. Toshiba has no tool or utility that can read or modify.

BIOS update has absolutely no influence on it. Satellite M100 is one of the latest devices and I really don t understand why it is so important to you. Important in my opinion is the stability of the system, the operation of the equipment and no problem with the software you are using. Am I wrong?

  • Qosmio G30-204 - the CPU temperature is high

OK, so I have a problem of overheating with Qosmio G30-204. It seems that in the course of suspend the CPU temperature is high, I used SpeedFan to confirm this. EG + 70 degrees C after 5 minutes. 90 + degrees if left any longer!

I find it very frustrating to say the least. This unit has served sentence. I had not yet touched in nearly two years the initial feeding has stopped working. The original power box split as it was a serious risk to my health and still less damage would could have been done to the machine! How to create a product that at least that I've updated the BIOS Toshiba fry the GPU!

Needless to say that I did pretty well as soon as I got the camera. What can be done to fix this problem? If anything like that? It makes me not want / trust buy another Toshiba product.

    I can't wait to hear support ;)

    Hey,.

In your case I don't he say s a nuisance Toshiba. It can be another problem as Akuma written and this means that it has nothing to do with Toshiba.

For me it s definitely dust in the heat sink, especially if you do not clean your laptop before. You must use the jet of compressed air to blow the dust from the cooling fans. It only takes 5 minutes and should be made from time to time because it s normal behavior which, after a certain time dust, blocking the cooling fan.

  • Satellite SM30-604: 4.25 SpeedFan and question about the right temperature?

SpeedFan 4.25 is on my Toshiba Satellite SM30 604.
Until recently, the CPU usage shown was variable.
Compared to a low percentage (green dots) to somewhere around maximum, according to what I was doing (I have never game, but use purely professional things like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and many websites).

Temperatures in most of the green time, the high 40-links, the low 50-links (I then scroll to the top of the Speed01 of the fan from 0 to 50% and 50%, it starts to run). I sometimes add an external fan, I work sometimes in very hot climates).
I have the readings of the time 4.
Local temperature: 49 c (with this temp color varies between a Green V and a red arrow pointing upwards).
Temp distance: 85 (with a flame)
    HC0: 26 c (with a green (V)
    Temp1: 86 (with a red flame).

WHAT ARE THE TEMPERATURES IMPORTANT? WHAT IS LOCAL TIME? TEMP DISTANCE AND TEMP1?

These very high temperatures, I've had for a day. The fan is working (I hear it, I can feel. "I can see, because I partly dismantled the laptop.) But the Speed01 is 0%, and there is no reaction on the adjustment upward. Or playback is 100% without reaction to setting down. And rotating or disable "auto fan speed has no effect.
And without any other program running, the CPU usage increased a few seconds after switching on to 100%. I do not notice a significant slow down in the speed of my applications when I start using them. And a virus today scan did not reveal all the important things.
I can't activate my taskbar more.

Who has some answers for me. Green in this area?

    Thank you

    Hello Han

Your ad is very nice and very interesting, but you'll be very happy if someone can explain all this because you are using a non-Toshiba software. It is always recommended to use the original software because software Toshiba designed has been tested and it can just to protect the hardware components.

Use of software from third party is always at your own risk, and if you have any problems or questions, please contact their own support. They have much more experience with your applications.

I can just tell you that you should be careful where your laptop is placed and make sure that the device can take a deep breath and cool down properly.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite P100-429 of the BIOS and fan question

The fan was quiet when the computer starts. But if the core temperature was up to 52 ° C, the CPU fan will be executed once at high speed as the Typhoon blowing about two seconds and then stop. It's really annoying.

Is any version of BIOS P100 series the fan control support always turns the low speed?

    Hello

the new version of BIOS is 2.40, don't know if it helps.

Maybe you should talk to a technician for more information on this problem.

  • Can satellite A350 - I put the CPU to 2.4 or 2.6 Ghz

Hey, I just bought an A350, and I have an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 ghz processor, but I want to spend about 2.4 to 2.6 ghz. Here are my questions.

    1. is it possible to do?
    2. it is worth?
    3. I have an Intel Centrino sticker on the keyboard. It has confused me to I have a Core 2 Duo or Centrino.

I have general knowledge on computer, but I'm not an expert. Any help would be appreciated muchly.

    Thank you.

    > 1. Is it possible to do?
Nothing is impossible, but the question is if it s recommended. In my opinion it s undesirable. First the CPU upgrade will void your warranty. Then no one would be able to tell if the laptop would be stable after these updates and if the BIOS support so correctly. There is a high risk of overheating because silt CPU creates more heat dissipation which would lead to a temperature more high
Last but not least you won't see a big performance gain.

    > 2. It is worth?
I think it s not worth. Check point 1.

    > 3. I have an Intel Centrino sticker on the keyboard. It has confused me to I have a Core 2 Duo or Centrino.
I have a laptop equipped Satellite of the Intel Core 2 DUO T8100 (2 .1GHz) CPU and I ve got the same Intel Centrino sticker.
The Centrino sticker means that the processor supports this technology, but this does not mean that it's Centrino processor.

For more details about the Intel Centrino technology, please see this page of Intel:

  • What should be the CPU temperature?

I ask for Satellite S1800-100 and it has Celeron 800 MHZ CPU, 128 MB, 8 MB shared SD - RAM Accelerator Trident Cyberblade VGA.

I had no major problems, but I wanted to ask you: what should my CPU temperature should be?

When I check his temp with Everest (or other S/W), CPU temp is around 44 to 58 C, CPU fan becomes on itself as default value of course.

    Thank you...

    Hello

As I know there is no standard value for each laptop model. As you know, it depends on the CPU usage. Now, all typing and listening to music on my Tecra CPU temperature is 53 c and drive HARD 42 C. cooling fan works from time to time at low speed running.

The temperature that you wrote in your assignment is reasonable for me.

  • Satellite P745-S4217 - overheating, high CPU temperature

My Toshiba Satellite P745 - S4217 CPU reached almost 100 ° c, just a couple of minutes ago it worked @98ºC is thre I can do?

I really need help quickly because im worried about the CPU, it could reduce its durability and also be damaged.

    Please, any avice is welcome.

  • Satellite P100-347 delivers performance - CPU too hot

    Hello!

I bought this P100-347 about 4 months ago and I was really satisfied with the answer, that this machine has.
Unfortunately for the last 2 or 3 weeks I noticed some performance issues that impact really on my experience.

Whenever I watch movies or play games, the picture freezes, and I noticed that the machine is really hot gettings on the bottom.

I have this software Everest with which one can monitor the performance of the computer, and much that whenever I bought the laptop it would show the CPU between 55 and 65 degrees Celsius temperature.
Now it shows the cpu with some 90 to 99 degrees Celsius, which really seems too.

Both fans seem to work as I can hear their sound. I think that Toshiba has a software that controls the speed of the fan, but I'm not sure where so I haven't checked which. If this is the case, then I can try to reinstall the drivers and see if resolves.

The left side of the laptop is the part that is really hot.

    Any advice?
    Thank you.

    Hello

My advice is to check if the fans are clobbed with dust. If enough dust is in the ventilation system, then the fans cannot transport the heat out of the machine and the machine to overheat. Overheat the result of this is that the processor gets hot enough to slow down and you have your slow performance.
The best way to solve this problem is to take compressed air and blow some air for 2 seconds and 6-8 cycles of blowing through the ventilation system. Little time for blowing the air because if you blow too long you will probably damage the fan.

If this is not enough, then your last resort would be to a technician who must disassemble your machine for the cleaning of your machine.

    Welcome them

    Hello

I will soon buy a Toshiba Satellite P100-240 of LaptopsDirect with a memory upgrade. It says on the site Web of Toshiba, the P100 is not HD Audio and HD video and it also States that it does not include the numeric keypad. Is - this ture? The processor is good on this machine, I mean like a Core 2 Duo.

It also comes with Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, is it possible for me to get a buyout of Toshiba site upgrade

    I highly appreciate your replys

    Hello

    > Is the processor good on this machine, I mean like a Core 2 Duo

The CPU is not better than Core 2 Due because he s successor to core Duo.
Intel Core Duo processor T2400 1.83 GHz Yonah works on this laptop.
You can check the detailed specifications of this CPU Intel page.

In addition the unit supports audio chip type high-definition Intel Conexant CX20551-22.
I put t know what you mean by HD video.
Do you mean the HD player? The portable player is a simple DVD Super Multi drive (+/-R Double Layer) and it does not play any DVD HD
