Satellite P500 inflicts no boot to the

Hello

Bought the Toshiba P500 this arvo, but since then the computer did pay.
Now its fully charged and I have managed to turn and enter the default details (time, place, etc.), but after he finished all these stuff, it just stopped.

The screen was displaying the desktop I had chosen, but nothing else happened for 30 minutes.
I held the power button for a few seconds and he died.

The computer will do as it is light, but only the lights of the keypad will light up.
After reading another post, I'm pretty sure I selected no 64-bit and 32-bit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

You write about Windows or BIOS password?

In any case, on this virtual path, it is not easy to give an exact explanation what can be wrong there.
Your son of many important data stored on this machine? If this isn't the case, you should try to reinstall the OS and test it with the factory settings.

What you can try is to enter the BIOS settings and leave the machine 5 minutes to see if cell phone will go OFF. If this isn't the case, set the BIOS to the default settings and try again.

  • Satellite A30 won't boot to the top

My computer does not start at the top. Yesterday, I had the blue screen but then restarted and everything was OK. Woke up this morning to the computer does not start. I have a Toshiba Satellite A30. I got the Toshiba screen, then the black screen to choose 'Start normally', 'last good settings', 'safe mode', "safe mode with network" etc.

I chose normal startup, then I get the Windows XP screen with the blue bar. When that has been loaded, he went back to the initial screen for Toshiba and then continues to repeat. I also tried safe mode, but that charge or the other.

What should I do? I don't want to erase the hard drive because there a lot of important data (family photos, work) etc. Please help me

    Thank you!

You can remove the HARD 2.5 laptop drive and you can connect it via USB to another PC. Then you may be able to save any important files.
After this procedure the plug back in the HARD drive and boot from the recovery CD to reinstall the OS.

  • Satellite P500 (PSPE8U) - can not find the drivers for it

    Hello

I've been and down these forums without success. I watched a lot of forums for the drivers for my P500. I've been through the pages of support sites toshiba of Europe, Uk, Australia and Japan... no chance either. I tried to contact the ebay seller I bought, apparently it is now out of business. It goes without saying that the laptop came without any driver disk. Unfortunately, one of the drives died on me and had no time to do a recovery with all the drivers disk. So now I'm really stuck. Here are the details of the laptop should anyone have brain waves for me-

    P500 - PSPE8U
    Windows Vista 64-bit
    ATI HD 4650

At the time the largest bad head are the video drivers and my battery life is around 30 mins without the toshiba software. The stock of the resolution is a disaster without the correct driver. I tried the ATI46 drivers * from their site, but the application tells me that my hardware is not supported.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Satellite P500 with model PSPE8U number belongs to the US models and therefore all the drivers and tools that you can find on the Toshiba U.S. page:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com

Just check the underside of your laptop again for the exact model as P500-S1234 number, then you can find the right drivers for your model. :)

In front of me, I have Satellite P500 and I use it almost 10 months now without a single update. What I'm updating are important updates from Microsoft. More than that and so far I didn't notice a single hardware or software problem.
After reading your ad m a little confused.

As far as I know Toshiba doesn't offer any DVD for that laptop, not any kind of pilot DVD so please be so kind and tell me which DVD driver is and who has created and offered this DVD.

original is Win7 64 bit OS (original image of recovery Toshiba) preinstalled on this P500?

    Hello

Which program gives you this error message about the cooling system?

Before contacting a service partner, as you can read in the error message, you must clean the cooling system using a jet of compressed air. Maybe dust blocking the fan or something else. Of more to clean up it of not necessary to disassemble.
Here is an article on this topic: [how to clean a Toshiba laptop cooling system? | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=40]

If it doesn't help, contact the nearest service partner.

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite P500-193. It's great, but I have a problem. During online games and other games my hand sometimes 'click' on the media panel and then windows media player star and game is minimazes in the bar system :(

How can I turn off this Panel the temporary? Photo of this Panel: http://yfrog.com/87toshibasatellitep50002j

    Hey Buddy,

I checked my Satellite P500 and it seems that you can disable temporary t these buttons of illumination.
You can completely disable the buttons of the illumination in the BIOS (the BIOS setup > advanced > System Setup). There is an option called function key. You must set it to disabled.

But I m wondering about this problem, I put t he have while playing games. Alternative, you can connect an external keyboard to play games. :)

  • Satellite P500-12F - Question about installing the drivers

Have recently bought a new P500 Satellite 12F and I am very happy with it. This PC came only came on the market on 29 Oct. I decided this pilot site updates, bios, etc. and was surprised to find a few tens of individuals in the list.

When I rang Toshiba support he told me don't bother to install as there may be a danger and if if its ok market don't bother!

I would like a second opinion please.

Satellite P500 is newer model comes with the latest drivers, tools and utilities for Toshiba laptop.
It turns out that the Toshiba doesn't offer updates every month and, in my opinion, you don't need any update to date.

I guess that your series of satellites well and without some serious software problems. So, touch of an operating system and be happy with your new toy.

My funny hard Satellite because last week, but today it seems to really have given up... when I boot I get a screen that gives you the ability to start in: safe mode, safe mode with the mode of networking, security with guest orders, the last know config, and start windows normally, but no way can you select this error message appears :

Windows didn't start because the following file is missing or damaged \windows\system\config\system you can try to repair this file by starting windows setup using the original CD-Rom. Select 'r' setup in the first screen to start repair.

I have the original disc to start but I can't boot from the CD drive and when I press 'r' in the first screen, nothing happens it loads just backward on this black page that tells me I have an error.

Any help would be appreciated, I have all the files I need sustained if I just need to know how can I reformat from here.

    Thank you
    C_J

    Hello

First of all the good news: it seems that there s nothing wrong with the equipment and the installation of the new operating system should solve small problems starting.

And now for the bad news: I think you need to format the HARD drive and you will lose the files and stored information.

    > I have the original disc of starting but I can t he can start from the CD drive
How have you tried to boot from the CD? Don t press the R key, but you have to either press F12 for the Boot Manager or press the C key immediately after starting the laptop. (The CD should be pre-installed)

  • Satellite P500 - after update BIOS on the numeric keypad does not work anymore

I just had a Satellite P500 and am running Windows 7. I downloaded all the latest drivers and updated the system BIOS to version 1.70 (from Toshiba support website). Now, my numeric keypad of the keyboard does not work.

The NumLock light is on and when I hit the key "6" on the pavement, he turns the power light, but the behavior of the other keys does not change that it is on or off. The '-' key to enter a '6', but none of the other keys (except "enter" does nothing.

I removed the keyboard driver and rebooted to reinstall the keyboard driver, but has no effect. The keyboard has worked for a few days after that I flashed the bios but seems to have stopped since I started using a USB mouse. I tried to uninstall the USB mouse driver, but who have nothing do either (it was a Logitech driver).

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance

    > I did not upgrade bios 1.7
Maybe you should try upgrading the BIOS
As another user has suggested upgrading the BIOS 1.7 helped, even if the end user has updated the BIOS twice

  • Re: My Satellite P200 won't boot to the top

    Hi all
    Noobie here,
I think I caused a problem wher my P200, it won't start, it was very slow and I went into the Task Manager and deleted some programs that were not running, but using the memory.
In my view, there is a good chance I can I have deleted something that the system needs because it will not load upward.
I turn it on and I get a light on the HARD drive to the front and a light in the dvd drive, but nothing else, I tried pressing F8 and put the recovery disc in but nothing?

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Appreciate any help.
    John

I guess you are using the "F8" key to access Windows boot options and Windows is not to leave you. If this of * definitely * the case, then you must insert the recovery CD and change the device to boot from the screen as the laptop boot - can't remember which affects it is than its displayed on the bottom line. I think its possible that W7 can be repair o the problem and a full installation will be unnecessary

  • Satellite Pro L300 - Dual boot with the AHCI mode

    Type of product > Notebook

    Model short-term > PSLB9E

    Hello.

XP and Seven is installed in dual-boot on my laptop and I use EasyBCD to choose which system I want to start.

To start XP, I need to enable "Compatibility" (Controller SATA in BIOS mode) and seven is "AHCI" must be activated.

Is there a way for my two OS was started without making changes in the bios?
Y at - it an update to correct this problem (or alternative)?

    Thank you in advance.
    Marc

Yes you can do it but I'm afraid, you must reinstall Windows XP Home edition m.
Why? Because before beginning to install Windows XP Home edition, you must change it to AHCI mode, launch the installation of Windows XP Home edition and before you start you need to load the SATA driver (via F6 I think).
