• Problems installing Satellite Pro 4600 wireless network card

  I have a Satellite pro 4600 since 2002. I've never been checked his internal wireless network card. Today I'm trying to use it, but I am unable to even install it.

  Hi all

  I just reinstalled the operating system on a 4600, but I have no driver disk. I checked this site (for the last week and a half) and a lot of research on google, but can't find an archive of drivers for this laptop more old.

• Cannot read DVD on Satellite Pro 4600 movies

  After a clean install of Win2K on Satellite Pro 4600 I am unable to play any DVD movie. I am able to access the data of the DVD discs. The error message is:

  "There is not Windows 2000 compatible compatible dvd decoder installed on this system."

  I was able to play DVDs when running Windows XP.

  I searched online and on these forums for an update of the software for my DVD player (model SD-C2402) but have been unable to find one. I should be grateful if you would be pointing in the right direction.

  I have good experiences with VLC media player. Try to use it.
  Back to your problem. I think you need to MPEG2decoder. Googled around and look for any W2K codec pack. After installing it, I'm sure that everything will work properly and you will be able to watch DVD movies.

  I thought of upgrading my Satellite Pro 4600 (PIII 800 MHz, 20 GB, 386 MB RAM) with a larger HD.

  My question is: what are the limits of this upgrade? Can I put in we'll say a 60 GB HDD? 80 GB? or is the satellite Pro 4600 limited to 20 or 40 GB?

  Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 is usually a large equipment once it works! I have bought in December 2001 + additional 2 year warranty. Used every day for a business purpose - mainly on a desk anchored to the Port Replicator or inside-out of the office with WiFi.

  Almost after a year I bought it - one of the memory locations died on the motherboard! A machine still worked OK - only on a slot with installed memory capacity! So the 256 MB of memory and motherboard have been replaced by September 2002.

  Then the hard drive was noise - has been replaced as a guarantee somewhere in October 2004. So I thought that it is her - I have now a few years without problem again!

  Yes - all of a sudden a few days ago, I closed the lid for a coffee brake and after that the machine woke up to a strange sleep - the screen flickered and a machine was muzzy! Like the previous night failures that occurred before that I thought that this restart will solve the problem! It s woke up without the support of the voice!   Your network configuration is not kwon to me, but you should check the TCP/IP settings. If you have DHCP do you get an IP address from the router? You can check this in the start menu > run > cmd > ipconfig/all

  If you use a 3rd party firewall, you must disable.

  Hi, I bought a Satellite Pro 4600 second hand last year and have been happily using it to connect to my network of the University via the ethernet cable. However, I have recently bought a new desktop PC and found a buyer interested in my laptop computer for home use on a wireless network. How will I know if he can use my laptop to connect to a wireless home network? It has a sticker on the saying

  I put t found any information if this drive is compatible with the Satellite Pro 4600, but you should be careful to replace the drive.
  You should check the dimensions of the car. Very important is the drive (master, slave, csel) settings because it is not possible to change this settings as on the usual desktop drive.
