Satellite Pro a 100 no dΘmarre

Hello

I have tried to find the solution to my problem but have not found anything better than to put at the service.

Satellite Pro has 100 Notebook left turned on with lid closed (with adapter sector and battery).
A few hours after I opened it but display was extremely dark, though I could see outlines of window. I tried opening and closing lid - but no effect. So I decided to turn off the laptop. I pressed the power button / stop shortly and hold it down for a long time, but without effect. Later, I removed the battery and unplug the AC adapter. Laptop turns off and now we come to the problem.

I inserted back the battery and plugged the power adapter. Power LED and battery led lit and blue (normal situation, means 'battery' and "connected to the power adapter"). I tried to turn on the laptop. However, pressing and holding the power button / stop are completely without effect. No new led and power led and battery LED change not (constant blue light), no noise, nothing happens.

I also tried to turn on laptop only from power supply and from battery without effect. Also tried to remove 1 of 2 RAM modules. Laptop maintenance for a few hours with adapter disconnected and the battery changed nothing.

The questions are:
-Could you fact defection "open/closed lid switch" causing this problem? And where can I find this switch? It is not close to display, and it is not a small button.
-What could be the possible solution except to the service?
-What could be the problem except the motherboard?

Thanks in advance :)

Hello

To be honest, I think the best way is to bring the laptop to an authorized service provider because it's definitely a hardware malfunction.

I put t know what causes this problem, or what is the reason for this, but a mobile technician can check this. Here he s a forum from user to user and you will not find a technician of laptop here. We can only speculate on hardware issues but not stable.

In my case the ASP guys helped me as soon as possible and I have my phone back to only a few days later. Then contact them and explain the situation. They will tell what to do now.
And here you can find the nearest ASP:

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-100.
It kept freezing then nothing seamed to work on it. My operating system is windows Vista professional. So I decided that I had to do a full restore from CD.

So I put the recovery CD in the drive which has been in the Toshiba without looking, I installed it but it installed Windows XP Professional.
So obviously the wrong disc was put in the box when manufactured.

So I now have Windows XP Professional on my computer none on my drives work.
My cd does not work like obv that settings are not on the disk.

Is there anyway way to restore my computer without the disk that I don't have to buy one when the wrong disc was in the first place. Of course, I know that I should have checked the disk, but it is like an accident full and the disc was not correct even in the first place

    Hey Buddy

First of all a few words in that regard:
    > So I put the recovery CD in the drive which has been in the Toshiba without looking, I installed it but it installed Windows XP Professional. So obviously the wrong disc was put in the box when manufactured.

It was not a mistake or a fault that the Win XP disc with the laptop.
Your laptop computer was preinstalled with Vista BUSINES version and Toshiba portable computers that are preinstalled with Vista BUSINESS get besides a Win XP OS as an option to downgrade!

In addition you didn t receive the Vista BUSINESS recovery disk because the Toshiba laptops with the option of recovery and HARD drive recovery, Toshiba disc creator software that allows you to create an OWN Vista recovery disk.
BUT it can be done if you have not formatted the HARD drive...

You can find lots of information about this recovery disk you manual there are some info and also a reminder has been preinstalled on your system that says; It s is strongly recommended to create a recovery disk.

Well buddy. To cut this story you have just only one solution:
You must buy the drive for recovery from here:

  • Made my Satellite Pro A 100 overheating

    Hallo,

I noticed recently that my laptop is to overheating than usual, in comparison with the first few months after I bought it.

Especially the lower part of the keyboard on the left side of the touch pad and under the laptop sometimes becomes extremely hot.

I was using the laptop very often recently, as place of work 6 to 7 hours no stop, influence on the radiator or is this normal?

    Thank you

    The laptop shut down automatically?

If this isn't the case, then all is OK!

The laptop supports the option own overheating. This means that the Satellite Pro A100 stops automatically if the temperature increases to a critical level.

So you should not be worried. Your laptop seems to work fine

    By the way:
On the left you will find the CPU and cooling so modules it s not unusual that this side of the laptop is hotter than the other. ;)

  • Satellite Pro P-100-key FN + touchpad errors

When I go to turn off my touchpad (FN + F9), it no longer works. The only way I am able to deactivate/activate my touchpad is to run through the BIOS on reboots. I would like to confirm the reason and finding bugs...

I deleted the Toshiba FN keys that always declined because he had a tendency to freeze and monopolized the use of CPU/RAM while in classes.

Someone had this show before / know how to fix?

    Are you running Vista?

I would setup PVAT on the Toshiba site, I think it's the package command FN functions.

I found the FlashCards thing to be in the way as well, so I disabled it. In programs from the Start Menu under the Toshiba folder, you should see a Flashcards utility where you can choose to disable the Popup FN bar but keep the FN feature.

  • Satellite Pro a PSAASE 100 - drivers WINDOWS XP?

    Hello

I would like to ask if there are drivers Windows XP for my laptop (Satellite Pro A 100 PSAASE)
This number not is not listed in the driver-download-thing and when I have the choose it from the Menu buy I get only the Sound Driver.
I already managed to find the Chipset, Grafics, sound and network drivers, but I need the driver to save power with the Batterystatus and all that. I tried all the drivers for any A100, but none of them worked. I always get the message: cannot open because I don't have the rights to do so.
    What can I do?

You are right, there is only the listed audio driver because the other drivers can be downloaded from different series A100.

The A100 series uses essentially the same hardware specification and only XP drivers should work on different laptops.

The Vista notebooks were not delivered with Toshiba Power saver so I think that you will not be able to install on laptops energy saver.

  • Satellite Pro S300 - USB no longer works

    Hello
I have a 6 month laptop Satellite Pro S300-100 and running Vista 32 bit. He got 4 USB slots, 1 handset that works on the left side and 3 USB2 connectors right side and these 3 suddenly stopped working. I tried different connections, memory stick, external drive, USB mouse, but they are all dead.

I've tried deactivited and operated them, no change. I checked the ports and the response of the system are that they are involved.

I had a similar problem earlier on a Tecra 9000 a few years ago and the replaced the motherboard.

    Anyone has a solution, please?

    Hello!

Do you have the yellow marks in Device Manager?

  • Can I repair the dead on Satellite Pro A100-662 pixels

    Hello

I just bought a satellite Pro has 100-622, but annoyingly while watching a DVD I have nototiced a pixel on the screen is of course a little faulty and turns green when, for example the rest of the screen in black. If this was not in the middle of the screen, it would be nice, but it's a little embarrassing to watch a movie when the actor on the screen has a green space in the middle of his forehead!

Can I do to solve the problem?
    Thank you
    John

    Hello

No, the dead pixels can be repaired. The only solution really is the replacement of the screen!
But the replacement of the screen depends on the amount of pixels!

  • How can I reformat the drive of the Satellite Pro A100?

I have a Satellite Pro A 100, that my son has used for more than a year in College!
There is so much junk on I think that a reformat would be the easiest option for erase everything.

However, I can't find any way to do it. I tried the usual methods. Start, Control Panel, Admin etc, but the format option is always deleted.
I even tried to run, using 'format C:', but was informed that the reader was already in use and could not be formatted.

    Suggestions, please.

AND, I need a CD from Toshiba to replace all the files of Toshiba, or they are in another partition on the HARD drive?
    Thank you very much

    Hello

You need a CD of the OS or the Toshiba Recovery CD to format the HARD drive and reinstall the operating system.

The Toshiba Recovery CD contains the image of Toshiba. It s a package which contains the OS, driver Toshiba, tools and additional software.

I would recommend using the Toshiba restore for formatting and reinstallation CD.

And the best is that you would not need to install the drivers because the Toshiba Recovery CD to install everything in one step!

  • error 0 x 00000024 on Satellite Pro 100

    Hello

I have an old Satellite Pro 100, handed one to nine.
I was loading a .iso file when my laptop crashed.
    I restarted to get to a blue screen with the error message 0 x 00000024, followed (0x001902FE, 0xFX7AAF380, 0xF7AAF07C, 0x86E74805).

He told me to restart the laptop and run chkdsk /f in command.
I started in safe mode with cmd, cancelled stpd.sys, which caused my laptop down and ran chkdsk/c (check) before I ran chkdsk /f (fix). It worked very well.
I then input the command chkdsk /f and cmd said that he could not access and lock on the drive. He asked if I wanted to run chkdsk /f on the next startup. I said yes and then restarted.
It came with the blue screen again, so I held the switch to turn it off, and then turned back on.
I loaded in safe mode with cmd and cancelled loading stpd.sys.
This time, there was a longer break, and I assumed that the laptop was running the command chkdsk/f function.
The laptop has rebooted spontaneously after that she 'finished', as far as I could tell, but once again to the front blue screen.
I also tried to use the command chkdsk /r (resolve), but that froze just of the laptop.
When I restarted the laptop, he returned to the blue screen.

Can someone tell me how to solve this problem, preferably without wiping my HARD drive, I read on websites who told me to use the chkdsk/f above method proposed my blue screen?

    Thanx

    Hi mate,

First of all, it would be interesting to know what model Satellite Pro 100, you exactly. Satellite Pro A100, Satellite Pro L100 or something else?

It's not easy to tell why you get thses blue screens, but have you tried a system restore to an earlier point? You can do this in the advanced boot menu (F8) where you can also choose Safe mode, etc.
    Check this box!

If this doesn t work I think you need to reinstall Windows. If there is a recovery disc supplied with your laptop you can use. This disk can restore factory in a few minutes and your laptop should work properly again. :)

  • Satellite Pro L450D-12 x - computer doesn't dΘmarre

I'm looking for advice on a problem I have with regard to the commissioning of a Satellite Pro L450D-12 x.

    History:
Unfortunately, he hit the table and not surprisingly will start.
After external inspection it was evident was damaged during the fall and need to re - solder that has been done.

    Problem
When the power is connected, the power and battery lights turn on as expected.
However, when pressing 'On' switch the power light turns on for about 2 seconds and then turns off with absolutely nothing of the laptop.

After inspecting internal connections, as well as the search for signs of obvious damage (which I did not see anything) I'm starting to wonder if the CPU fan is defective or the CPU its self as none of these turn on. Battery, hard drive and RAM have been checked and are properly installed.

Even if the lights on the motherboard lights up as described above I also think half that a component on the motherboard was also damaged.

I would be grateful for any advice on what to check next.

PS Si fan is broken automatically cause the computer and not to the power upward to avoid damaging the CPU?

Until we start the discussion here check please first this Toshiba document - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSD57013H000JR01.htm

  • Toshiba Satellite Pro S500 i5 or i7 i3 CPU upgrade

Hi everyone, I'm having 7 Toshiba Satellite Pro S500 Notebooks here and want to update these shit Core i3 330M and 350M, 370 M and 380M CPU for Core i5 or Core i7 CPU. I'm not quite sure what CPU Socket, I have to buy and which generations of CPUS are supported by the S500. I processors up to 380 M Corei3 assembled in these things now and think its a HM55 Express chipset inside which must allow to i5 and i7 processors. I already had problems in upgrading toshiba tecra A9 modells and after upgrading CPU they were running very well and the FAN was blowing ultra noisy at speed of 100% all the time without ever turning off again even if the laptop could be frozen at 0 ° C and it has never been warm. Level 3rd Toshiba support then told me that he would need a firmware update they do provide customers and was told to send books to repair @ € 50 each, just to update this microcode. So I would ask if anyone has a list of processors supported for the S500 modells?
Numbers of exact model I have:
    Satellite Pro S500-106 (PSSE0E-19M06SLD)
    Satellite Pro S500-147 (PSSE0E-0HH06SLD)
    Satellite Pro S500-132 (PSSE0E-09G05ELD)

Hope someone can help, I don't want to end up buying an i7 or i5 cpu, spending 50 dollars, investing 4 hours work and end up with a laptop unusable, I immediately dismantle again just for the work that I had invested... Forward your answers J

Best thing to do is to choose a CPU provided with one of the other S500 PSSE0E patterns. This way you can be sure the BIOS supports.
Some portable computers require a cooling system calibration after that another CPU is installed. An ASP can do the calibration.

  • Satellite Pro U200 - DC jack is broken

    Hello everyone

I was wondering if you guys can help me because I broke the dc jack on my laptop, its load only when the pin of the charger is in it at a certain angle and I can actually feel the plug into my laptop so moving is not the charger. I tried searching on the internet but without success because I don't know the part number, and even if I put the serial number on the website of his not really give me the part number and may cause toshiba do more :(
Now I'm looking for power supply for Satellite Pro U200-199
    Part number: PLUA1E-01900JEN

-12.1 "screen Toshiba TruBrite® WXGA TFT
-Drive DVD Super Multi (Double Layer) slim

Any help would be greatly appreciated. only thing, I had an experience at the hardware level, but not very good with soldering, should weld or not it comes with the wire that can be clicked into place.

    Thank you

In the past, I found several threads where people have reported the same issue but on the different model of laptop. Obviously some of them have done a good job and repaired only.
To find the DC jack is not a problem.

You can find it on eBay and it is cheap. Put in google DC jack U200 and you will find it.

Problem is that any computer laptop must be disassembled and new connector soldered to the right place.
    Can you do this?
I want to say if you n t have experience with this stuff don t touch anything and ask for professional help.
