Satellite T130 - 13L - Wireless disappeared

Hi yesterday my Satellite T130 - 13L had it's wireless stop working completely. When I press FN and F8 bluetooth is there, but nothing else. I've looked everywhere and it simply disappeared. So far I found no solution, I've heard it might be a hardware problem that I hope that it is not.

When I open IE, I also see in the "IEFrames.dll" tab for a second then it just changes. Funny my warranty run out a month ago then hey presto - nice coincidence :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Bondi Burt

The card listed in Device Manager correctly or missing too WLAN?

If the wireless network adapter is listed with a yellow exclamation point, it would be useful to update the WLAN driver. Latest version, you can get here:

    Hello

As far as I know your laptop came with the recovery of HARD drive image. This means that it is saved on the second partition of HARD drive. If you want the State of origin to new (factory State), install the new OS by using the HDD recovery procedure. How to do this you can read in http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

In this story, I see a problem. Laptop comes with HARD drive recovery and I think it's Win7 64-bit only. When another version of the OS is installed, you will lose the option of HARD drive recovery and OS can be installed with recovery DVDs only.

    So my questions to you:
Can you start HARD drive recovery procedure as described in the document of Toshiba?
You have created recovery DVDs according to the instructions described in the user s manuals?

  • Satellite L300-1AS - Wireless disappears completely without warning

I got underway, but annoyingly intermittent problems with the wireless on my laptop. I got it since Dec. 24.

Basically, I have days/weeks of use with no problems, then, without warning, the wireless disappeared completely. He won't let me fix the usual channels, or it will show even the laptop with the ability to be wireless!

After I restarted the laptop, it still does not work, but then through the repair process, he said that wireless capability is turned off!

First, are there any patches to this?
Secondly, any ideas how my laptop tells himself to turn off my wireless?

It is a pretty big problem for me because I don't use the internet a hell of a lot.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello!

In my view, this could be also a problem of router then make a day first firmware. You can find it on the site of the factory.
Turn off the features of security as a hidden SSID, MAC address filtering and so far. Just to test, it perhaps is the problem.

As said by Akuma, update your WLAN driver and update your BIOS. The two you can find on the Toshiba site:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online downloads support & -online Download Driver

I hope one of these tips can solve the problem.

  • (Own) custom installation of Windows 7 on Satellite T130 - 13L

    Hi all

Validation (you'll see why) for the first time and I seriously need a little guidance.

I have just taken delivery of a Toshiba T130 - 13L for my wife. The model has no DVD player, and is pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Premium. There is no DVD media in the box and the 250 GB drive is partitioned into two disks of 116 GB (operating system and data) with (probably) a hidden partition for recovery/repair Windows.

I want to do a clean install of Windows 7 and re - install the drivers/software I need from scratch, including the increase of the size of the partition to the OS to give more storage here (backups of the user, the data is stored on a network server). I will create the recovery media when I picked up a USB Flash disk more but I have a few questions:

[1] if I create the recovery (DVD or USB) media I'll be able to do a clean install of Windows 7 from this or I've always end with factory build (i.e. one that includes all the various Toshiba software and testing of software that come pre-installed)
resize partitions means that the only way I have of the reconstruction of the machine is through the recovery media [2]? I would like to cut down the drive D: (data) to about 10 GB rather than the disc of the current half.
[3] what is the best way to do this (DVD or USB) and y at - it a practical guide that someone can point me to it please?

    Thanks in advance.

    C

    Hello

I don't understand, why you must do a clean Windows 7 install, if it is already installed (or you want to switch to win7 ultimate). If you resize the partion this means that you will not be able to restore the image of HDD factory settings, but only with the support of recovery (Dvd or USB flash drive). According to me, the best and simplest is recovery media for the Usb flash drive. But you can use both of them. And do not postpone this procedure, do it in time. Otherwise, you will need to order a silver recovery media.

    Welcome them

  • On the Satellite T130-16V wireless issue

    Hello..

I have a nine T130... the problem is every time IM using the internet the auto adapter (realtek 8187se) wireless disable it yourself! After that, I have to restart

    So I allow her again.

(I ve tried the Fn + F8 and tried to update the driver and bios update and reset it even system restore... name nothing!)

Any ideas so I can solve this problem?
    I have win 7 64 bit

Have you tried reinstalling the driver WLAN? The last time you can find the portal of Toshiba WLAN - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/

  • Satellite T130-16w shortened wireless keyboard no longer works

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Toshiba Satellite T130-16w Windows 7

Several months ago, I deleted some of the bloatware factory on my laptop because of the downturn. I checked that all was not necessary before deleting, I think I might have made a mistake. Since then, I have used mobile internet. Today I came to turn on the wireless function + F8 key does is nothing more. The small menu without wireless/bluetooth does not appear. Without wire is currently disabled and I can't get it there.

Wireless is enabled in the BIOS. In Device Manager, it appears under the name of work and active. The computer is by all means put in place to use it, I can't get the key to do something, so I can't activate it. Oddly, I turn bluetooth on and off separately, but not wireless.

I updated the driver for the wireless, but the driver of the shortcut key is not anywhere on the site. I tried searching it elsewhere but he couldn't find for windows 7. Can I use the XP one, or the one of a different model of Toshiba? The T130 section just not return results.

It sounds like the shortcut key is the question? Does anyone know where I could find the driver? Is it possible to turn on the wireless without using the function key (there is no switch)? As through windows? I have been trying to unravel for 4 hours and got nowhere.

    Thanks for reading.

    Hello

Win 7 requires Toshiba VAP (value added) installation for FN keys work.
Visit the page of the Toshiba UE driver and you can find the VAP for Win 7 64 bit

If you need the PPV for Win 7 32 bit, choose another series of the laptop and use the VAP released an another laptop.
The VAP is not in the laptop series.

  • Satellite T130 - wireless connection is very slow

I bought a Satellite T130 with Windows 7 64 bit a few weeks ago and suffered from wireless internet top speeds incredibly slow since the first day. I have an another Toshiba Vista laptop and a PC with XP and all have no problem on the same network without wire-

Please help as I'm about to throw the laptop out the window!

    Hello

What connection speed you have if you connect to your WLAN router? 54 Mbps?

I think that Akuma is right. Just update the WLAN and the BIOS driver. The two update you can find here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

You have other software tools? Maybe they are causing the slow internet connection or trying to access the Internet.

  • Satellite T130-17F - upgrade to the Mini-PCI Wireless card

Card WiFi in Satellite T130-17F doesn't support the 802. 11A / 5 GHz. I would like to replace it with one that is supported. Is this possible? If so, are there any documents that show how do?

    Thanks in advance, Igor Bukanov

    Hi mate

Usually the laptop supports WLan miniPCI module. This means that usually the other WLan miniPCI cards should work, but I read also here in the forum that it is not always the case and sometimes other WLan miniPCI card would not me recognized correctly.

But why you try n t a simple solution like a USB WLan stick?
It is the simpler and in my opinion the best solution for you.
You will not need to disassemble the laptop. This means that there is no risk of damage and the warranty

That's why I recommend you try this solution.

  • Satellite T130-11 t - need to clean the D partition and increase partition C

    Hi all
This is my first post and Im not a grumpy so apologies in advance. Ive tried searching the Internet for help with this but cant get long, it is therefore proposed that post.

I have a Satellite T130-11 t which has 232 GB HDD. Setting it up as 2 drives, C and D with 116 GB on each. The C drive is complete, but its probably just photos / movies so I can solve that by copying the external hard disk, but the D drive is roughly the same.

Ive looked at the directory and under HDD recovery it is a subfolder called swing and inside are 8 x .srm extensions and 2 x crc files, are all of 2009.

Files take about 8Gb and I can't delete them as it says I should do so under SYSTEM - the operating system is in German so Im a little hesitant exaclty, what the problem is - and systemfile nervous deletion.

Drive D but has more than 90 GB of info - when I click on drive D in Windows Explorer, it does not at all look like, there are all large files it. Could there be some hidden files not seen Im?

Performance is very slow and I want to save or delete/reformat the drive D to drain - any ideas how to clean my D drive please and ideally reduce its size and move some of the allocation of memory on the C drive without losing my data already on C?

I understand forums that the HARD drive is a recovery file, but should take only about 10 GB cannot so I a C of say 200 GB and 30 GB on D drive?

Yet once I don't want to corrupt or lose all data already C

Also when I start it, a message informs you that there are missing files in the directorym LOCAL smply disappeared.

    Thanks in advance

    MArk

My first question is: did you create a recovery (DVD or USB) media? If Yes, you can use this media for any new OS install when you want. With other words, you can delete all the partition recovery D if you want, but in my opinion you should not do this. If these recovery files are still there you will also be able to use the HARD drive recovery facility.

    > Drive C is full, but its probably a few photos / movies so I can solve that by copying on the external hard drive...
    Fix.
    >.. but the D drive is substantially the same. Ive looked at the directory and under HDD recovery it is a subfolder called swing and inside are 8 x .srm extensions and 2 x crc files, are all of 2009.
This file belongs to the original recovery image. More or less 10GB isn't a big deal. Leave it as it is.
    > Could it be Im not see hidden files?
It is not easy to say, because we do not know how your laptop is configured and what files should be saved on the D partition. What you can try is to open the control panel > folder options > view > and check for hidden files and folders. Choose the option Show hidden... files and check again the D partition.
    > Also when I start it, a message informs you that there are missing files in the directorym LOCAL smply disappeared.
In my opinion, nothing can simply disappeared.
I think you should check them all, back up all of your important and after data makes this OS install using original recovery image. After that do you have own OS preinstalled, portable will have better performance and also, I think that you will be happy again.

I had problems with my card without wire wireless where he fails on a regular basis as indicated on the following link
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/message.jspa?MessageID=295029

But now I would like to get my hands on the question
So, I would appreciate if someone can tell me where is the card wifi for my laptop model.

    My laptop are:

    Toshiba Satellite T130 - 11H
    Serial number: X9110014W
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    64-bit operating system
    Genuine Intel processor

I had someone with a look that says the motherboard and the wifi card is fine, but I want to study the issue due to be sure. so please guide me to the right direction to get to the wifi card.

    Thank you very much

The WLan on Satellite T130 card is connected to the motherboard as indicated on this [photo: http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-T135-T135D-T130-T130D/body-big/Toshiba-Satellite-T130-T135-disassembly-20.jpg]

You will need to disassemble the laptop everything to access the wireless network card.

I found a statement in the internet (www.irisvista.com) how do this, but each computer laptop procedure disassembly is not easy and all you are doing is at your own risk.

  • Satellite T130 - 11 H - Wifi adapter missing

I have a Toshiba Satellite T130 - 11H and recently adopting Wifi fail or disappears completely.
This happens while I use my laptop, like working on a document or surfing online.

I've been looking online and I see that it is a common problem with Toshiba laptops, especially in the USA and some know that after the expiry of their Anti virus which is the case with my situation, but I have now uninstalled the antivirus software Anti however adopting wifi still doesn't work.

If I go to Device Manager I don't see the drive at all.

My Satellite T130 only connects to my Wireless N 150mbps. I have 2 other laptops that connect at 300mbps. How can I get the T130 to connect at 300mbps?

Is he capable of 300mbps (the Realtek site suggests the chip RTL819SE is capable of 300mbps)?

    Hi johnt.

At the moment it of not easy to tell why you n t get full draft N speed.
In my opinion you need to update the WLAN driver first. All WLAN updated driver that you can download on the official Portal of Toshiba WLAN:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

In addition, you should check the Windows Management. Make sure that the economy of energy WLAN functionality is disabled.

    Hello

Usually, you can try to change some settings in Device Manager-> card WLan-> properties-> Advanced tab

In my case (I m using Intel WiFi card) I could find a few different options. signal strength, channel, standard Wlan.
Try to use a single standard like 802.11 B or G, try an other channels etc.
