Satellite T130 - Wlan Realtek 8191SE weak signal

I recently started using a Satellite T130 with Realtek 8191SE Wireless LAN.

Wireless reception is terrible.

At home, I can't wireless reception if I go to the floor, in a room just above the router.

In hotels, I am unable to use their wireless unless I go and sit at the reception, or a little over the top where their router.

Update the BIOS to 2.7 and driver version is 2015.1.427.2010.

Is there anything else I can do to improve wireless reception?

Hello

Usually, you can try to change some settings in Device Manager-> card WLan-> properties-> Advanced tab

In my case (I m using Intel WiFi card) I could find a few different options. signal strength, channel, standard Wlan.
Try to use a single standard like 802.11 B or G, try an other channels etc.

Go to Power management and try to deactivate the energy saving for the Wan card...

I ve already installed the latest drivers for the Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless network card and it's always the same. I tried to reinstall the drivers, Turn off all applications and services and keep only those of microsoft windows, and it is impossible to get a good signal. I ve changed the settings to the Maximum in each Power Saving Option to save energy, and still nothing has changed.

    Thank you

    Hi mate

Please take a look in this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=65173

The Auguste user had the same problem with the Atheros WLan card and the driver update has solved this problem. You said you've already tried this, but maybe you didn t use the updated driver.

Also try to disable the option: leave the laptop turn off the WIFI device in order to save the battery.
This can be found in the device-> Wlan card Properties Manager

  • Satellite T130 - how 300 Mbps of connection?

My Satellite T130 only connects to my Wireless N 150mbps. I have 2 other laptops that connect at 300mbps. How can I get the T130 to connect at 300mbps?

Is he capable of 300mbps (the Realtek site suggests the chip RTL819SE is capable of 300mbps)?

    Hi johnt.

At the moment it of not easy to tell why you n t get full draft N speed.
In my opinion you need to update the WLAN driver first. All WLAN updated driver that you can download on the official Portal of Toshiba WLAN:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

In addition, you should check the Windows Management. Make sure that the economy of energy WLAN functionality is disabled.

  • Satellite T130 - need help after update for Windows 8

    Hello

    I use Satellite T130 Y9075161W serial number.

There is no support for windows 8 (especially the drivers).
It's very disappointing. In my case, I installed windows 8 and I have a few problems.

The touchpad is 'dead' and the shortcut as WHAT WLAN cannot be used anymore.
Are there users who have installed windows 8 on this system?

    Best regards
    aisakos

You are right. This old piece of hardware is not supported for Win8 and Toshiba offer not only any what Win8 driver, the tool and the utility. You shouldn't be disappointed. Toshiba and other manufacturers of portable does not offer support for all operating systems, especially for older models of laptops.

It can be very problematic to use newer OS on the old machine.
I can see it is fully supported for Win7 64 bit so I think it's the best OS for this little machine.

In any case, let's see if some other owners have little luck with Win8 installed.

  • Satellite T130 - HDMI display does not

    Hello

I'm trying to view my Toshiba Satellite T130 on my Toshiba 32 '' LCD TV, model 32BV702B, using an HDMI cable. The computer recognizes the TV and when you use desktop double or extended, the builtin laptop screen behaves as expected. However, the TV shows "No Signal" when the HDMI input is selected.

We have another laptop with an HDMI output, and this configuration works very well. On two laptops, we use a 1366 x 768 display.

Anyone know how I can get this working on the Toshiba laptop?

    Thank you.
    Ellie.

(P.S. It seems that someone had a similar problem: [http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=205123]. In this case, the solution was to use a VGA instead of HDMI cable and the original problem has not been resolved. I really want to use my HDMI cable!

Well, the other option attempts to retrieve the laptop using the HARD drive recovery or a recovery created with preinstalled Toshiba Recovery creator software image.

I read that the other thread and the other user did not try this
On the other hand, you can try to set the default BIOS and save the changes. Do not forget that the HDMI is it activated.

    Also, try this:
Disconnect the battery and AC adapter
Wait a few hours (3-4 hours) and then press the power button / stop for 30 seconds.
Connect the two parts, and then test the laptop computer s HDMI.

  • Satellite T130-17F - upgrade to the Mini-PCI Wireless card

Card WiFi in Satellite T130-17F doesn't support the 802. 11A / 5 GHz. I would like to replace it with one that is supported. Is this possible? If so, are there any documents that show how do?

    Thanks in advance, Igor Bukanov

    Hi mate

Usually the laptop supports WLan miniPCI module. This means that usually the other WLan miniPCI cards should work, but I read also here in the forum that it is not always the case and sometimes other WLan miniPCI card would not me recognized correctly.

But why you try n t a simple solution like a USB WLan stick?
It is the simpler and in my opinion the best solution for you.
You will not need to disassemble the laptop. This means that there is no risk of damage and the warranty

That's why I recommend you try this solution.

  • Where the WiFi card is located on Satellite T130 - 11H

    Hello

I had problems with my card without wire wireless where he fails on a regular basis as indicated on the following link
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/message.jspa?MessageID=295029

But now I would like to get my hands on the question
So, I would appreciate if someone can tell me where is the card wifi for my laptop model.

    My laptop are:

    Toshiba Satellite T130 - 11H
    Serial number: X9110014W
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    64-bit operating system
    Genuine Intel processor

I had someone with a look that says the motherboard and the wifi card is fine, but I want to study the issue due to be sure. so please guide me to the right direction to get to the wifi card.

    Thank you very much

The WLan on Satellite T130 card is connected to the motherboard as indicated on this [photo: http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-T135-T135D-T130-T130D/body-big/Toshiba-Satellite-T130-T135-disassembly-20.jpg]

You will need to disassemble the laptop everything to access the wireless network card.

I found a statement in the internet (www.irisvista.com) how do this, but each computer laptop procedure disassembly is not easy and all you are doing is at your own risk.

This happens while I use my laptop, like working on a document or surfing online.

I've been looking online and I see that it is a common problem with Toshiba laptops, especially in the USA and some know that after the expiry of their Anti virus which is the case with my situation, but I have now uninstalled the antivirus software Anti however adopting wifi still doesn't work.

If I go to Device Manager I don't see the drive at all.

    Hello

What connection speed you have if you connect to your WLAN router? 54 Mbps?

I think that Akuma is right. Just update the WLAN and the BIOS driver. The two update you can find here:

You have other software tools? Maybe they are causing the slow internet connection or trying to access the Internet.

Hi yesterday my Satellite T130 - 13L had it's wireless stop working completely. When I press FN and F8 bluetooth is there, but nothing else. I've looked everywhere and it simply disappeared. So far I found no solution, I've heard it might be a hardware problem that I hope that it is not.

The card listed in Device Manager correctly or missing too WLAN?

If the wireless network adapter is listed with a yellow exclamation point, it would be useful to update the WLAN driver. Latest version, you can get here:

  • Airport Time Capsule: Suspected of weak signal

    Hello

I have 3 Apple wireless devices all. The main router is the ATV, followed of an Airport Extreme, extending the network and a former Airport Express, also the extension of the network. Briefly, it is a three-storey house, on the first floor of which is a daylight basement (windows and doors on three sides), then the second and third floor (all wood of the frame).

I'm almost completely Mac/Apple-centric (my son except for the PC game), there are 6 Mac (PPC and Intel) and 4 iPhones on the printers network every day, matching, smart TVs and casual with a device visitors or 2. Generally, there is no connection problem apart from the complaints unfounded. There are a variety of El Capitan, Yosemite, Leopard, OS 9.2.1 and iOS operating systems. Computers are my MBP to 2008, two MacBooks circa 2010, 1 iMac (circa 2010), 1 lime iMac 400 has PPC G4 MDD and iPhones - 5s and 6s (2 of each).

I studied this weak signal suspected by the search for possible answers on the internet, try to use various applications to diagnosis Wi - Fi and browse the various parameters of the airport. I was not able to "find" a smoking gun or even a reason suspected for the signal is so poor. "So poor" refers to my dissatisfaction with our signal coverage - my expectation!  It is perhaps as good as it gets and I have too wait.

The layout has my ATC in my office, ground floor, the west wall of the House and approximately 4 ft above the ground. The AExt (from ATC) is through an open door and a flight of stairs and on the ramp (half wall). If you stretched a string directly between ATC and AExt would be 16' - 20'. The AExp bounced around, but currently it is in our gym, which is part of the structure of individual garage. The AExp is approximately 45 ' - 50' of the AExt and 65' or from the base (ATC). My goal is to explain the variety of signals.

I'm not the most scientific. To drive off the coast, I don't understand why there are 4 WiFi signals reported. 2-5 Ghz and 2 to 2.4 Ghz. "The only basis ' creating a wireless network" is the ATC, the other two are "the extension of the network. There are 2 reported BSSIDs and I forgot how to determine who is what hdwr.

Walk with a MB and it is Wireless Diagnostics app, it seems, most of the signal issues are explainable. One unexplained is when I get out the MB to the gym, the signal "through the roof" - it probably doubles in strength, and that's where the Express is maybe 60' of ATC. Sounds good, but why, when I go back to ATC, the fact the signal drop in half. I want to Express signal overall. I guess the Express to be the weak link, but of course does not appear like this. My main computer, the MBP, sits 15' and at glance of ATC and gets that weak signals - I guess that it could be the Airport card in the MBP, but I'd like to think not, that I have no way to test it. I'm sure that all this has to do with the 4 signals being broadcast and the differences between networks 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz.

So, why is my best farthest signal from the router (ATC) and why is it the MBP of low signal (MB too), the nearest router. Oh, I have no neighbors to 500' or more. Sorry for writing a book.

The layout has my ATC in my office, ground floor, the west wall of the House and approximately 4 ft above the ground. When you extend a wireless AirPort network using intermediate connections wireless base stations, it is important to understand how fundamentally. So please forgive me if I go to the places you already know.

Extended wireless airport works wheel - as with the base station extend over the hub of the wheel. Each of them extending base stations would be on a spoke of the wheel. With the new 802.11ac 802.11n base stations, you can not extend linearly. For example, in your game both the extreme and the Express would be on another spoke in the wheel, step along the same spoke. Make sense?

That said, the station of further base your Express, would have a harder time getting a signal strong enough to expand it, while extreme may not have this problem. Basically, this would explain the gap between the quality of the signal between these two base stations.

I wrote an an airport users points to try to help to how to best place a base station that extend. It may be useful.

By default, each of your simultaneous dual band base stations provide actually two wireless networks; one on the 2.4 and the other on the 5 GHz bands. Base stations extending each of these repeat if they are in the range. Note that the higher frequency band (5 GHz) would have a harder time penetrating objects, such as walls, ceilings, etc. and it is basically only usable in the same room. I'm guessing what to do in distance between base stations, the extreme is able to expand both networks, but the Express (especially, if it is a model of generation 802.11n 1) extend one or the other.

For routers to Apple, the BSSID is the MAC address wireless base station itself.

One unexplained is when I get out the MB to the gym, the signal "through the roof" - it probably doubles in strength, and that's where the Express is maybe 60' of ATC. Sounds good, but why, when I go back to ATC, the fact the signal drop in half. I want to Express signal overall.

To each base station that spread, the level of the signal from the base station can be high, but real bandwidth of the signal will be the same as what he receives in this place. Yes, you can see a high (full bar) signal level, its ability to transfer data will be reduced because of this limited bandwidth. The key is to place the base station that extend to a resort beach it is the extension to get the specific width of possible higher bandwidth SNR. It is covered in the tip that I quoted above.

  • Satellite T130-11 t - need to clean the D partition and increase partition C

    Hi all
This is my first post and Im not a grumpy so apologies in advance. Ive tried searching the Internet for help with this but cant get long, it is therefore proposed that post.

I have a Satellite T130-11 t which has 232 GB HDD. Setting it up as 2 drives, C and D with 116 GB on each. The C drive is complete, but its probably just photos / movies so I can solve that by copying the external hard disk, but the D drive is roughly the same.

Ive looked at the directory and under HDD recovery it is a subfolder called swing and inside are 8 x .srm extensions and 2 x crc files, are all of 2009.

Files take about 8Gb and I can't delete them as it says I should do so under SYSTEM - the operating system is in German so Im a little hesitant exaclty, what the problem is - and systemfile nervous deletion.

Drive D but has more than 90 GB of info - when I click on drive D in Windows Explorer, it does not at all look like, there are all large files it. Could there be some hidden files not seen Im?

Performance is very slow and I want to save or delete/reformat the drive D to drain - any ideas how to clean my D drive please and ideally reduce its size and move some of the allocation of memory on the C drive without losing my data already on C?

I understand forums that the HARD drive is a recovery file, but should take only about 10 GB cannot so I a C of say 200 GB and 30 GB on D drive?

Yet once I don't want to corrupt or lose all data already C

Also when I start it, a message informs you that there are missing files in the directorym LOCAL smply disappeared.

    Thanks in advance

    MArk

My first question is: did you create a recovery (DVD or USB) media? If Yes, you can use this media for any new OS install when you want. With other words, you can delete all the partition recovery D if you want, but in my opinion you should not do this. If these recovery files are still there you will also be able to use the HARD drive recovery facility.

    > Drive C is full, but its probably a few photos / movies so I can solve that by copying on the external hard drive...
    Fix.
    >.. but the D drive is substantially the same. Ive looked at the directory and under HDD recovery it is a subfolder called swing and inside are 8 x .srm extensions and 2 x crc files, are all of 2009.
This file belongs to the original recovery image. More or less 10GB isn't a big deal. Leave it as it is.
    > Could it be Im not see hidden files?
It is not easy to say, because we do not know how your laptop is configured and what files should be saved on the D partition. What you can try is to open the control panel > folder options > view > and check for hidden files and folders. Choose the option Show hidden... files and check again the D partition.
    > Also when I start it, a message informs you that there are missing files in the directorym LOCAL smply disappeared.
In my opinion, nothing can simply disappeared.
I think you should check them all, back up all of your important and after data makes this OS install using original recovery image. After that do you have own OS preinstalled, portable will have better performance and also, I think that you will be happy again.

  • Satellite T130-16w does not always

Satellite T130-16w, more often than otherwise it does not.
Is it far from solving this.

Someone has looked at and said it's battery if it was he would not charge at all.
Could there be an error in the connection?

    Hello

It of difficult to tell if it s just one problem of battery or perhaps more serious hardware problems.

But I think that the battery needs to be checked at the first step.
You must also remove the battery and must run the laptop connected only to the power adapter.
The unit should work fine without a battery.

The point is that there's not much other option that requires a check if its not the battery or AC adapter problem, then probably the motherboard is affected
