  I have an iMac 21.5 mid-2011 "2.7 Ghz, 12 GB with a Bootcamp with Windows 8 partition is installed.

  However I can't sent the newspaper on the screen to reach the Windows desktop, because I need to enter my password or security number using my wireless keyboard.

  If I seem to be stuck between the hammer and the anvil :-(

  Are there bright and sensible ideas I can try to fix this?

  my hp dv6000 laptop came with the mouse and wireless keyboard, and I use them for 2 years with no problems. Today, while typing, the keyboard is not responding, as well as the mouse. the red light on bottom of mouse is on. I tried pressing and holding the Connect button on the receiver; no lights are lit on the receiver. I have replaced the batteries in the keyboard and the mouse. no action has resolved the problem.   MY KEYBOARD WOULD ' T CONNECT AFTER AN UPDATE OF THE SYSTEM. IT WAS DUE TO A ZONE ALARM IN MY SECURITY SOFTWARE THAT PREVENTED CONNECTIONS UNAUTHORIZED WIRELESS.   It of difficult to tell if it s just one problem of battery or perhaps more serious hardware problems.

  But I think that the battery needs to be checked at the first step.
  You must also remove the battery and must run the laptop connected only to the power adapter.
  The unit should work fine without a battery.

  The point is that there's not much other option that requires a check if its not the battery or AC adapter problem, then probably the motherboard is affected

  2. did you of recent changes on the system?

  3. what version of Windows are you using?

  Perform the following methods and check if it helps.

  Method 1:

  Try to connect the keyboard and mouse to any other computer / or any other port and check if it works very well.

  Method 2:

  You can try to run the hardware troubleshooter and check if it helps.

  Hmmmm... Open it please help Toshiba > Optimize > Toshiba HWSetup.
  You will find a tab called Settings button. Don't forget the called function buttons enabled.

  Try the keyboard on another Mac or PC. If it still fails, you know the keyboard is broken. You can also try the keyboard when it is started in recovery as a basic test mode. That will tell you if the keyboard works well when a single copy of the operating system is running without all your installed applications.

  Select the option to browse the web to try the keyboard in Safari in recovery mode.

  If the device is 2010, you should seek to buy a new device, otherwise if it is new & still in warranty, return it to the store or the manufacturer.

• Pad at the top of the keyboard no longer works after installing Windows 7

  I have a cl dv7-1273.  Just changed from Vista Home Premium 64 for Windows 7 64.   Win 7 installed OK.  After you install the pad at the top of the keyboard no longer works in the dialogs like this.  When I entered the numbers here I had to use the keypad.  Keys still work in Word, Excel, Evernote, etc..

  Someone on the forum had the same problem of pad during the upgrade to win 8.  They solved the problem by uninstalling Comcast constant guard.   I removed a constant guard and now my keypad work.  Is there something in constant guard that is in conflict with the keys from HP laptop during upgrade to Win 7 or 8 Win.

  If you don t have any unknown devices and if the WLan card still isn't in the list, then I guess the WiFi chip is defective.

  In this case I recommend using a solution just as the use of external USB WLAN.

  Well, you answered your question yourself. They are different products, so you need 2 USB receivers.

  The alternative is to get a replacement of microsoft mouse if it is still under warranty, they usually do.
