Save as feature in Adobe Reader

Hi all

I have developed a form in LiveCycle ES-2. There is a feature in the form: after completing all the required fields if the user tries to send before you save the form, and then it will prompt the user to save the form in a different file name. It works fine in Acrobat 9 Pro. But when I open the form in Adobe Reader and try to do the same operation the form is saved, but it is an empty form. How to get over with?

Thank you.

Sidonie.

Hi Francine,.

Is the activated form of reader?

Objects are linked to the ' normal ' / ' name '?

When you create a form, and you want the user fill it and save it with the met data, you must select the menu option "Advanced/extended features in Adobe Reader" in Acrobat Pro.

I've personally used both in the drive in a plugin, and the drive itself makes these calls.  HOWEVER, they only work on the active Reader documents.

  • Save editable pdf in Adobe Reader?

I did an editable pdf. I want my colleagues to fill in this pdf file. But they have Adobe Reader... Is it possible (in Adobe Reader) that they can make changes, save it and then send it to customers?

If you are talking about a form that they must complete, Adobe Reader XI can do or if you have Acrobat, you can add form fields that all versions of the player can be filled.

If you talk about other types of changes, Reader is unable to do so.

  • Save a PDF with Adobe Reader

I'm sure there's a way to save your PDF file once you complete the form using Adobe Reader. From my understanding, I need to activate Adobe Reader Extention, but I don't know how to do this. If this is correct, can someone please explain how to do this? Thank you!

Yes, it is because you do not have Acrobat X.

    Is Acrobat 9 I think.

Then, the option is located under the tool menu.

  • Extra ' Save as ' window on Adobe Reader DC

Hi did anyone know if there is a way to stop the additional screen "save under" to arise whenever you want to save a PDF file on your computer? This window appears every time and has the ability to save a recently used area (I tend to save things to my desktop then move them elsewhere later), but then when you click on it, it sends just to the old "save under" the window, which is always on the temp folder instead of the folder recently used you just selected in the previous window. So, basically, it seems to be an extra click you need to do whenever it does not affect anything anyway! Honestly, which is rather annoying...

    Any help would be great!

Disable the entry "Show when saving files from online storage" in general preferences.

  • Save a form that can be saved in Adobe Reader after filled.

I created a form using Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended and want to fill out and that saved as it is on the hard drive of the person to whom it. I looked at how to do this, and he said: go to file > save as > Reader Extended PDF > activate additional features. I opened my document to Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended and went to file > save as, but it does not give me the option for Reader Extended PDF or anything. She has just the Save button which will open the box save as Dialogue. What should I do to be able to save what I want than this?

There in Acrobat 9: Advanced > extend features in Adobe Reader

    They change it every time.

  • Security, correspondence between Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe Reader

I created a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Pro who needs information to fill in the boxes, but also the signatures of the form. I tested the form on different computers that bring it in Adobe Reader. I'm trying to make them compatible. My security options on Pro for the document show that everything is permitted (print, modify the document, signature, etc.), but when it opens in the drive it shows most people like not allowed.  I need to change that, but I don't know how. I need the form to be compatible for reader so that others can fill in the necessary information and then submit by e-mail to me. Please advise on what to do to get there, if possible. I need details! Thank you!!

You can activate certain player features, such as the signature and recording, allowing the reader to the document in Acrobat. Exactly how do you this depends on which version of Acrobat you are using:

A9: Advanced > extend features in Adobe Reader

A10: File > save as > Reader Extended PDF > activate additional features

A11: File > save as other > Reader Extended PDF > activate tools plus (includes filling form & save)

Customer support said that I need to save it in a 'Reader Extended' format, but I can't find this option anywhere.

In Acrobat 9, it is under: Advanced > extend features in Adobe Reader

  • E-mail button does not work with Adobe Reader, Acrobat only

    Hello

I am new to Adobe products and do not have a lot of experience. Here's my problem.

I used LiveCycle Designer ES2 to create a PDF form to fill, with a send email button. (use mailto: to open Outlook users and attached the PDF automatically)

The shape is visible by all, but the e-mail button works only if opened with Acrobat.

Is it possible to have this work with the drive? We obviously don't have Acrobat licenses for each user.

Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

The document must be enabled for the reader, which allows to drive save the completed form. To do this in Acrobat 10, select "file > save as > Reader Extended PDF > activate additional features. In Acrobat i9, it's "Advanced > extend features in Adobe Reader. This should be the last thing you do before you distribute the file.

  • "Extend the functionality of Adobe Reader" causes additional lines to appear in pdf format

    Afternoon,

I have a table set in place where I add/remove lines to 3 points in the table, as I have 3 columns within the table.  It was created in Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.2... I want the form on the next page that works very well, it is saved as XML dynamic.

Now, I need the form to be completed by users using Adobe Reader 9 and to do this I open the form in Adobe Acrobat 9 and then save a copy after selecting "extend features in Adobe Reader... However now when I go and open this file, the lines that were not initially in the form appear under the buttons of the rank final Add/Remove... as if someone has press Add line 10 times.

Any ideas what is causing the form to change?

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Jason

I need to see your form template to know what is happening... often send you it to [email protected] and I'll have a look when I get the chance.

Please include a description of how to reproduce the problem with email.
