Save Attachment of email

I need to know where windows saves files that have been opened to the email.

I went in my email (hotmail) and selected a file as an attachment.

A message box will open below and asked if I wanted to open or save the file. I chose open. I've made changes to the document and click on save button. I closed it and word has not promt to save me before that so I know he saved somewhere

but I can't find ANYWHERE, its ridiculous. I tried the search bar in windows, I tried the temporary internet files, I still couldn't find it. I opened it again to my e-mail to see where it woud save but it is not in this folder. and I think it's because I asked to open, I don't save it manually. It seems theres a diff between just by clicking on the save icon and the option "Save as." can someone please tell me if it never review my file.

Hi guest2564,

When you download an attachment, a prompt message appears and asks if you want to Open or Save it to a specific folder. If you choose to save in a specific folder (for example: My Documents, my pictures) you need to switch to this folder, and then click on record.

Also, depends on the browser you use as in Google Chrome if you download a file, it will automatically go through below download manager of your screen.

For more information, I suggest that you go to the help section of your browser if it is a 3rd part of the browser.

Thank you.

This behavior is not editable by the user.  In theory, it could be changed if you modify the source code or to your desktop application or DLL file open/save file, and then recompile the application with the behavior you want.

  • Outlook express won't jpeg files attached to email

I use Windows XP and Microsoft Outlook Express 6 version 6.00.2900.  If I get an email with an attached jpeg file get he message 'OE removed the following a dangerous attachment in your mail.'  This will happen when I get attachments of JPEGs of someone or if I send it to me.

The new identity should be fixed because it creates new registry keys. Do this for the current identity.

Close OE and go to start | Run and type:

    Regedit

    Press ENTER.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | Software | Microsoft | Outlook Express.

In the right pane, locate Blockexeatta 0x00000000 (1)

Right click on this line. Modify and change the (1) (0).

Close the registry and open OE and the box "do not allow attachments...". "should not be grayed out anymore.

Spare, you already can not open unless you save it on your HARD drive, but future attachments should open.
  • How to create a signature cards to attach to emails

I have windows vista Home premium and would like to know how I enclose my card of PDF file to all past messages?  This can be done so that you do not manually attach your card to each pass by email.

    Hi, caymo:

Unless someone has a better idea...

Open a new message window and add the attachment. Then: File | Save as and save a desktop .eml file. When you want to send a message, simply click on this shortcut icon instead of create a new message and a new message window will open with the already attached PDF file. For more convenience, you will probably want to drag the shortcut to the taskbar icon.
  • people get .emz attached with emails

I use Microsoft office 2010 to my work and we have a standard signature that we use with an image of our logo companies on this subject. It seems any recently but that MANY of our customers are emailing us will cost about get .emz attached as well as the emails that we sent them. Is it possible to prevent them from doing this?

It seems that the image file included in your model or your signature is a compressed windows metafile. It is a bad choice: some of the recipients will be able to see and the rest should see an attachment that they can't open. Ask one who lends the image to re file - save as a PNG, a universal format that moves well and remains clear at different magnifications, and then replace the image of the signature or the model with the PNG file.

  • Files never end attach in email?

When I try to attach a file to an email, the attachment progress bar goes almost all the way and then he is there with the circle of rotation and never ends. I have downloaded the latest version of Firefox, reset Firefox several times but still the problem. The installed version is 30.0 in Windows 7 Professional 64 bit OS.

IE had the same problem, but resetting solved.

What security (firewall, antivirus) software do you have?

It is possible that antivirus software is causing this problem with downloading files.

  • Save gels icloud email during the auto strike

This problem arises when you use a browser with cloud email. The type of browser that I use is IE and this problem has occurred on previous versions. There seems to be other posts related to this but I suspect that the difficulty in describing the problem or root cause resulted in them not being not collected and studied further by the Apple Support. Some users have reported the same problem with Chrome and Firefox. Messages go back a few years.

When a new message is typed there is an AutoSave function that occurs frequently, usually only when the capture and record all the seconds. A break occurs frequently, and any other typed text is ignored i.e. the process crashes or stops while an AutoSave occurs. This varies from a few seconds to 8-10 seconds, more delay the more difficult it is to fill a message!

What is inconsistent is the period of delay - sometimes, it is imperceptible, and typing is not interrupted. Other times it does not auto-save has not completed. The cursor can lose context and must be re-clicked.

It doesn't seem to be an option to turn off the automatic backup feature, although this would be desirable and only a work around.

Perhaps the root cause is turn around time of the network, which would explain why sometimes the AutoSave does not pause or freeze typing for any significant period. It doesn't seem to be the performance on the client side

You can have the best chance to post in the Microsoft forums.

  • exspress Outlook will not save the outgoing emails

I can send and receive without problem.

Outlook ceased to record outgoing messages on 05/09/2011

If you're talking about Outlook Express, the first thing to check is that you have the program configured to save the emails sent.

In the menu, select TOOLS, then on the tab SEND, make sure that there is check box 'save the copy sent messages in the 'Sent items' folder.
