  • Someone at - it a VBA Excel code saves a pdf file into a text file?

    I use Adobe Reader XI.  I have the directory on my HDD that has two files; the first is an Excel worksheet and the second is a file 'pdf' of Adode.  I wrote a code using VBA Excel that opens the pdf file.  I am looking for a procedure that would save the pdf file to a text file (for example, "*.txt").  So far I found the code to do this, but it is written for Adobe Professional.  Someone has the code that would do the same thing using Adobe Reader XI?

    Not possible with Adobe Reader.

  • Enregistrer to save in PDF, keeps all the text layers

    I am trying to save a file in Photoshop CS5 in PDF, it works for the most part well, only problem is that not all text layers are kept as selectable text in the PDF file.  I initially tried the rescue of the PES with this result, I thought that perhaps Photoshop CS5 would do a better job.  Unfortunately, same results.

    I don't know if text only is passed as text in the PDF file, I get quality really incoherent text to the printer.

    Advice on potential problems in the work that could lead to convverted text layers in the file PDF is not properly?

    Thank you

    PS, I did an extensive web and knowledge base, research before you post and can't find anything useful.

    Found the solution!

    The problem was with any text layer styles 'false '.  It's bold and italic applied as a style rather than use the specific style of the font family font.   After removing all the beautifully converted file false character styles to PDF retaining all as selectable text and printing is high resolution vector text.

    I want to thank Print New Hampshire that took long hours this investigation until they found the solution for us.

  • Research methods save a PDF file in clear text

    Hello

    At least during development, I wish that my PDF to be saved uncompressed files. This format will allow me to grep the files and inspect them. Is there a flag or the utility that will allow me to do this?

    Note: I already know about PDFXML, which isn't what I'm looking for.

    TIA,

    -Ramon

    There is an example in the SDK called "Decompress PDF" that adds a new item to the "save under" list of formats - "PDF uncompressed' that would do what you want.  You could also take the guts of the code and do it yourself before a backup...

  • Save the pdf file as format changes to text file

    Hello

    When you save a pdf file as a text file in the format of the resulting text different from the original PDF file ist.

    For example:

    PDF-file text

    X 1                                                X1                         (missing blank)

    X 1234-4567 X (new line added)
    1234-4567

    Would it be possible that some characters see and not visible of those responsible for this behavior?

    Any help will be appreciated

    Concerning

    JH

    It depends a lot on how PDF files is created.  If they are simple conversions for example Word documents, then the output text file will also be probably simple.

    If after that the original text of the creation has changed, added, moved,..., then there may be hidden items in which can no longer be transformed into a similar looking text file.

  • Is it possible to save a table in Photoshop (which has been created in InDesign) without text fuzzy?

    I am trying to save a table in Photoshop that was created in InDesign for web use. When I save it as a png (cannot save in pdf or jpeg the limitations of our company Web site), the text appears blurred (pixelated?). Is this because the table is flattened/pixelated?

    Is there a different adobe product that can be used to avoid what is happening? The company that built our Web site is a style editor that has limited capabilities. We tried using the website editor for creating tables; However, the Editor doesn't have the flexibility and the ease of use that comes with InDesign. That's why we opted to create the tables in Indesign.

    To download the table in the editor, the file should be saved as a png image, that's why we create in InDesign and then by saving the table in Photoshop.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you very much for the help!

    Tracy

    Yes, export while in InDesign.  Make sure save you it in png-24 format and not a png-8 (transparency).  Also, make sure that you do not have your visible background layer when you save it in Photoshop.  You should see the grid in Photoshop which denotes a transparent background when you save it.

    Adobe change Acrobat a lot between releases. Make sure you follow instructions to the same version you have.

    If this looks OK, let us know the exact version you have (help > about Acrobat Pro).

    PDF/A, when I have a standard PDF file and add some text to it, and then save as PDF/A, there is an error.  Any ideas?

    Preflight check should give you an idea of the problem. It may be that the file must be flattened before attempting the conversion. Not all aspects of a PDF file can be converted to PDF/A.

  • Save a PDF to JPEG using photoshop elements II

    I've been using PSE II with my pc and was able to design a simple flyer, save it as a pdf and then open it in PSE II and save it in jpeg format.

    I recently got a macbook pro. I have PSE II on my mac and it worked fine. Until I tried to save the pdf to JPEG in PSE II. When I try to do, the thumbnail appears, but when it opens, all I see is a grey and white checkerboard. This used to happen with PSE II on a pc, but I've learned to put a white text box behind the design before opening PSE II and that solved the problem. But now on my macbook pro, even this does not help. I always get the gray and white checkerboard.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

    Open Preview (it should be in your dock if you don't delete - this is the icon):

    Open the pdf file or right click on pdf file closed and choose Preview in the options to open it in.

    Then go to file > duplicate and save the double as a jpg. Or if you have forced registration enabled, use the export command in the preview and choose jpg.

  • Questions PDF in photoshop 2015.5 CC

    Photoshop 2015.5 CC on Windows 10 x 64

    * When I open a pdf in photoshop: "could not apply the workspace because of a disk error."

    * When I want to save a project as a PDF: "cannot save as xxxx bacause of a disk error."

    -> I scanned my disk (SSD): no error

    -> I can record on all other formats without any problem

    -> I cleaned (perhaps too) since the temp folder and the appdata folder

    Maybe I have something removed from the temporary folder used by Photoshop to handle PDF queries, but I can't solve, even with a reinstallation of photoshop.

    I also reinstalled Adobe reader...

    Does anyone have an idea?

    Friend,

    I was looking for a solution to this as well. I found the answer here. The credit goes to Mohit Goyal, I wanted to just give you what I found.

  • Save a copy / save as PDF is not save to PDF

    Since the update to Illustrator 2015.3 I can not correctly save Illustrator files in PDF format.

    Illustrator seems to write the PDF OK, but when you view the PDF file in Acrobat it displays the text "This is an Adobe® Illustrator® that have been saved without content. PDF file" that is normally associated with the backup (and viewing) a native file to HAVE it.

    No matter what settings of PDF that I use, I always get the same result. A strange thing is it seems to save the PDF file very quickly - even if the file HAVE a huge set scans at work.

    I feel the 2015.3 version of Illustrator is a bit buggy - but this is a real problem if I cannot provide a PDF file for approval or printers.

    Can someone (Adobe?) say? Thank you.

    I have now solved the problem by signing some and in Adobe Creative Cloud. Phew!

  • Save Illustrator PDF without the hidden layers

    We have about 55cards who all have the same exact text. The titles and the community stand out among the cards. So I did just an AI with the various funds and all of the text as a copy in a layer on top.

    Now, I can just hide each background layer and save as PDF. But even by deselecting preserve editing capabilities, file sizes informed me that it is still including images and backgrounds for all hidden layers. Do a quick test and remove all hidden layers brings the size of the files made considerably.

    I was under the impression that save as a PDF file without editing capabilities are saved what was needed for this particular PDF. It seems I was mistaken. Should I just keep delete layers hidden for each copy?

    Make separate layers for you copy versions, and then hide the layers that you don't want to go in the PDF, and use the settings of this. If it says printing layers, apples to make PDF files...

    You must also disable Illustrator capabilities in the record edition of dialogue in your pdf.

  • Google Chrome Print - Save as PDF Glitch

    Hello

    Since all July 2015, I noticed all the PDF I printed on Google Chrome the button print and selecting Save as PDF are unfathomable on my PC.

    PDF documents I look just fine, but if you place the cursor on a line of text, then click on copy and past the text Google search or in a word doc then all I get is square box symbols and text.

    I tried this on all 3 of my PC, Adobe running a Pro X and others running the standard version and the same failure is on the whole using Google Chrome.

    Can the community do me a favor and see if I'm doing something wrong or if Google is curropting these files.

    Try with this Article http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/34956022

    Print, save to PDF and once registered, copy a section of text and then paste you see if its readable.

    In Firefox, print, save as PDF function works very well and you can copy and paste the text from the PDF file.

    Thanks for your help

    You should ask your question in a forum on Google Chrome. These forums are on Adobe software.

  • Save the PDF file as the name of the field in PDF format

    Hi all

    I have read this thread: https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-save-pdf-acrobat-javascript and I still cannot understand this.

    I want to have a custom of the button Save to my PDF form and have it save the filename with fields in my form.  The names of the fields are 'Ready', 'NameofEvent', 'EventStartmdyy '.

    so for example, the PDF is filled and returned to me with its name from default pdf as "Event application form update - 1.pdf", then I get it and click on the button, then it registers as 'DarinVegasTradeshowJune152015.pdf' and records them in a file specific to each time.

    I read on a reliable access and put it in a javascript in the folder or on my computer? My colleague and I'll be the only person to save these, only on the two machines.

    Hope you can help.

    Thank you

    I tried the following:

    The correct syntax, that I, based on the returned for 'this.path' debugger

    /HAUCACAM0007VS/shares/Marketing_bridge/Darin/'MasterTracker/EventRequestForms/1/test.PDF

    so I changed the code of this

    determine the path of the directory of the active document

    Directory var = this.path.substring (0, this.path.lastIndexOf('/') + 1);

    for this

    determine the path of the directory of the active document

    Directory var = ' / HAUCACAM0007VS/actions/Marketing_bridge/Darin /' MasterTracker/EventRequestForms/1 / '.

    and it worked.  I swear I've tried and some variations before.

    Very interesting.  I can send me this PDF file, open it without saving changes, click on save and point it to my repertoire that I wanted to.

    Yay! Solved!

    Thank you try67!

    Yet once, for the sake of people Googling how...

    ---------------------------

    I pasted this code into a text file, saved as a javascript (.js file), in the following Program Files > Adobe > Acrobat > Javascript, I also pasted into the folder where I will save the file.

    1. var mySaveAs = app.trustedFunction)
    2. {function (oDoc, cPath, cFlName)
    3. Make sure the path has trailing ' / '.
    4. cPath = cPath.replace(/([^/])$ /, ' $1 / ');
    5. try {}
    6. app.beginPriv ();
    7. oDoc.saveAs (cPath + cFlName);
    8. app.endPriv ();
    9. } catch (e) {}
    10. App.Alert ("Error during economy-" + e);
    11. }
    12. }
    13. );

    Then, I created a button, it adds a javascript script.  the "this .getField are looking for field names in my PDF,"Ready"is a field in my PDF which bears my name of sales managers, then, it adds a space beside it (+" "+), then go to the next field I want."  It saves it in order to complete the pdf, then as SalesManager EventName 1 June 2015.pdf.

    1. determine the path of the directory of the active document
    2. Directory var = ' / HAUCACAM0007VS/actions/Marketing_bridge/Darin /' MasterTracker/EventRequestForms/1 / '.
    3. If (typeof (mySaveAs) == 'function') {}
    4. mySaveAs (this, directory, this.getField("RequestedBy").value + "" + this.getField("NameofEvent").value + "" + this.getField("EventStartmdyy").value + ".pdf");
    5. } else {}
    6. App.Alert ("Missing Save function. Contact the Forms Administrator ");
    7. }

    Hope that helps anyone looking on the other to do so, it is quite easy once you know where to save the javascripts (and what to put in it), and then change another javascript code to meet your needs.

    Thank you!
