Saving e-mail locally hotmail with Thunderbird
I need to save my Hotmail emails on my laptop computer files instead of the site server. I understand that Thunderbird can do somehow by exporting emails. Please explain how.

You will need to login to your webmail account using a browser and select the option to use the IMAP forwarding Protocol - assuming that the option is available.E-mail POP accounts can only access the server Inbox.
Emails are downloaded to your computer and stored in your Thunderbird profiles folder. So this guy can't according to your needs.IMAP e-mail accounts provide a remote view of files and emails stored on the server.
You subscribe to view these folders. Then the headers are downloaded and when you opt for the display of an email, the email is downloaded in a temporary cache.
Subscribed folders that are synchronized, download a copy of the file and store it in your Thunderbird profile. But these files are constantly updated to reflect what is stored on the server.
Your best option would be to create an IMAP e-mail account, you sign up to see the folders on the server, but do not select to synchronize subscribed folders.
E-mails stored in your Thunderbird profile on your computer load faster than those that must be retrieved from the server each time.
Info on the synchronization, so you can see how to turn on or off.

I'm loading .mbx file in my directory of files C:\Users\Marylfletcher\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\etmnp0du.default\Mail\Local. In some cases, I'm not able to see the message. I need help on troubleshooting. As it is a stop for my team and myself.

MBX is an electronic file created by Microsoft Outlook Express format. Thunderbird uses mbox (without a file extension) for mail storage.

Since the update to El Capitan, mail.app loses the card connections. Unlike a similar question here, mail load my new mail first, but then when I try to delete emails, or put them in a different folder, it displays a point exclamation and after a minute or two puts mail in the Inbox. After a trial of second (or fifth or tenth), it works.
This happens no matter if is iCloud or another card account. And - the same account works well with thunderbird (same settings ssl).
So it's certainly dependent on the mail program, and it started with the update of El Capitan.

Try to delete junk e-mail with my account hotmail with windows 8, and after clicking on remove the spam is well again. If I go to my email using the icon on the desktop I am able to remove everything. It is only with the icon of mail on the splash screen that I can't remove. Does anyone know hot to delete?

How to view all the accounts e-mail with Thunderbird instead of one?
When I run Thunderbird, I give myself of one of my email inbox. I currently have two together at the top with Thunderbird. I think that something I did caused Thunderbird show only one. Normally, I'm greeted by a sidebar that allows me to see all of my email accounts and switch between them. Who has disappeared. I tried all sorts of things, and I can't figure out how to get the sidebar back. I know that I have two emails put in place because I continue to receive new messages. The problem is that if there are no new messages, I have no way to view the other my Inbox. Any suggestions?
After messing around for a bit longer, I found "Restart with disabled modules" in the title of the help, and I thought I'd try that. I got an option that allowed me to restore default toolbars, that still does not solve the problem, but I have now managed to drag the sidebar reappear in when I flew over where it should be. Problem solved, thanks!

for a long time, I tried to set up a filter which copies new messages in the Gmail inbox to a folder in local mail in Thunderbird, and defines in addition/unread state correctly on both ends.
However, no matter what I try, it doesn't work.
There seems to be no way to set the playback on the IMAP server to 'read' State after the copy action and at the same time keep the "unread" status for mails that have been copied to the local folder in Thunderbird.
It does not work even if I created an intermediate folder on the IMAP server where mail is first moved to and only then is copied to the local Thunderbird folder later.
I also tried all sorts of combinations with the 'move later' and other actions to FiltaQuilla.
I'm really at a loss. I'm the only one who wants to copy the message from Gmail to a local Thunderbird folder and get the status of unread / read appropriate on the server, as well as in Thunderbird?

I need to mail to stay on the server, even if I delete it locally. What part of this is not understandable?
In any case, don't bother. I fixed it myself at the same time by putting in place the new Gmail account in Thunderbird.

I gave you a link to google sync task use it. It is a support forum, not a general discussion forum if we love close subject as soon as POSSIBLE.

The tasks are more difficult, because there is no standard of what a task is, for the synchronization of tasks to Google, yahoo, and Hotmail would require three programs and another for all other supported services. It is simply a maintenance nightmare that, for my part have nothing to do with.

I bought a new desktop PC with Win 8.1 and installed Firefox and Thunderbird.
Then, I tried to set up the e-mail account manually (in IMAP) following the instructions here: https://support-en.upc-cablecom.ch/app/answers/detail/a_id/22 , but can't set the mail server outgoing smtp correctly (I could receive mail but not send them). Subsequently, I deleted this account. Then, I started the automatic mail with UPC Cablecom under the http://www.upc-cablecom.ch/content/dam/www-upc-cablecom-ch/Support/executables/upc-cablecom-email-assistant.exe link tool and he did successfully set up the account, however, because a POP3 server account. As I was not happy with it, I deleted the server of incoming POP3 mail (and lost the e-mails received, of course...) and retried a manual installation. In doing so, I got an e-mail account IMAP incoming more two outgoing SMTP server (comparing them, I also understand the configuration error that I had done the first time). I then deleted the manual as SMTP server the automatically the installation server worked correctly.
In this context, accepting them and sending E-mail worked OK. However, the next time I started the computer, the e-mail account disappeared and Thunderbird was asked to set up a new account again. I have successfully set up manually once more, but the same problem resurfaced at the next startup, the e-mail account was gone...!Thank you in advance for your help!
