But his bird Exception:-SaxParserException: Malformed UTF-8.

OK, then we have an easy solution...

Replace this:

InputStream isNew = new ByteArrayInputStream (str.getBytes ());

with this:

Byte [] inputBytes by performing a = null;

try {}

inputBytes by performing a = str.getBytes("UTF-8");

} catch (Exception e) {}

Will throw no exception...

}

InputStream isNew = new ByteArrayInputStream (inputBytes);

The problem is that str.getBytes () encodes your text using ISO-6659-1, not UTF-8.

  • Unable to parse the XML because of malformed UTF-8

    When parsing a string xml (not a file!) I have a malfromed exception UTF-8. This is due to the fact that there are accents in (oau), but the chain says it utf-8 format. These umlauts or even some Chinese characters are allowed by the xml specification.

    You have an idea on how to make this work? the problem is that I can't just replace the characters with something else since I have to support any language.

    In any case, I'll try:

  • Malformed HTML lang attributes affect the fonts are displayed

    I use Firefox on Windows 7 with the option 'Allow pages to choose their own fonts' unchecked.

    Since the update to v33 FF, I noticed that my choice of fonts is not met on some sites, for example, stackoverflow.com (in fact, all the stack Exchange sites) and duckduckgo.com. Instead the fonts are back to Times New Roman, MS Sans Serif and Courier New independently to know if I've specified these fonts as my serif or monospace default without in the FF options | menu content.

    After a lot of digging around, I have noticed that the problem seems to be related to non-standard lang attributes in a HTML pages. For example stackoverflow.com has < body lang = "" > and duckduckgo.com a lang = "en_US." If I manually change the HTML lang = "en" or lang = 'en-US', then FF uses my choice of fonts properly.

    I don't know enough about the HTML standard to say if these sites send me bad HTML, but FF started certainly treat less gracefully.

    NB I can reproduce this behavior on OS X 10.10 (FF v33) and Fedora 20 (v32.0.2 FF).

    Hmm, interesting. So what I see is as follows:

    In Options > content > advanced, I put these Serif fonts:

    • Western character set: Times New Roman
    • Character set other languages: Book Antiqua

    On this site and Google, who both are UTF - 8 encoded with lang = "fr" lang = "en - us" Western serif police is or.

    On both sites you have identified, which are coded with attribute lang unrecognizable UTF-8, the wheelbase of Other Languages values is used.

    So, it sounds as if affecting other languages fonts to your fonts should work around the problem.

    Success?

  • Choose the UTF-8 character encoding

    I've had problems in the last two weeks, resulting in the page crashes, Force stops, restarts, and I have no idea of what was the cause. I have updated Flash and Java and Mac. DoubleClick/eBay javascript files have appeared on my desk, for unknown reasons. In desperation, I decided to change coding in Safari in Unicode UTF-8, and for this reason, or as by chance, the problems seem to be outstanding. Cause or coincidence? Can anyone shed any light my way?

    Furthermore, I tend to use the values by default as much as possible because I don't know what my meddling would do.

    I know that Unicode is an important choice developers must take into account when writing pages but it's a good choice for end users like me? It choose in preferences does web pages behave differently in Safari?

    Nowadays almost all web pages should have code in it that tells all browsers to automatically switch to utf-8 or other coding.  Default for th browser settings have no effect when the author of the web page mistakenly forgot to include any character set = statement in his code.  So, normally, it would be unimportant.  But if it helps with the pages you look at, by all means use it.

    Another possibility is when a page is on a badly configured server that tells the browser to use a set of different characters, such as Latin 1, when the page is labeled utf8.  I hope that should also be very rare these days.

  • How to compose utf-8 characters from the keyboard (osx 10.11.4)?

    Hello

    In any other non-named operating system, you can press ALT-E28099 enter a utf character.

    I've seen instructions on how to do this in an earlier version of Mac OS x, but these instructions do not work.

    They tell me in system preferences | Language and text-> then a way to select UTF, but this possibility is therefore more in the new language and region settings.

    When I go to my little flag in the menu box above right, I am not shown UTF - 8 as a possibility.

    Help!

    Thank you!!!

    OS X does not use utf - 8 for entry.  Normally, you would use the character Viewer (Edit > Emoji and symbols) for the input characters that are not already included in the layout of the keyboard via the option and option more shift.  It has an option to display all Unicode characters.

    If you really want to enter special characters through numbers, you can go to the sources of the system/preferences/keyboard and activate the Unicode Hex keyboard configuration.  You can integrate any character by holding down the option key and typing sound 4-digit (or 8 digits for those outside the BMP) hexadecimal Unicode number.  e28099 is 2019 in hexadecimal.  It's the curly apostrophe which can also be made directly from the US keyboard via the shift option]

  • undocumented function "utf-8 text.

    More than two years. Now, I found the equivalent named "UTF-8 text" (using the VI script).

    If someone else wants to convert text to and from UTF8, the two functions are in annex VI (recorded for LabVIEW 8.0).

    Greetings,

  • Saving the JSON files with Notepad in UTF-8 format causes error in Unflatten of JSON VI

    After doing a flatten to JSON and write in the text file, I open the file in Notepad and edited one of the fields. Then I registered under and marked 'UTF-8 '. The function JSON Unflatten fails with the 375003 error "the JSON string is not valid. The JSON strings must be encoded in UTF - 8 and must conform to the JSON grammar.

    I did change the numerical value in the field. Does Notepad save not a 'real' UTF-8 file? Someone else had this problem? Which makes it pretty hard to let users to change if the software cannot read it.

    Notepad adds a BOM header said at the beginning of the text file. This indicates a conscious drive UTF UTF type so boutien multibyte UTF encodings (e.g. UTF-16, UTF-16BE, UTF-32). Unfortuntaly notebook is so 'smart' to do it seamlessly and without any notification.

    If you use Notepad ++, or any other smarter text editor, you can avoid this problem of having this BOM autmagically added to the file to save.

    Basically, UTF - 8, you get three codes hexadecimal 0xEF, 0xBB, 0xBF at the start of the file. You can read the file yourself and check these three characters in this order and remove them if they exiist, before passing the string to your string in JSON format Unflatten and everything should be good.

    See here for more details on the UTF BOM.

  • Read/write file in Unicode (UTF-16)

    Hi, I have a problem to write a file in Unicode (UTF-16)

    I have to read a file with LabView, change some settings and write the new data in the same file. The file uses Unicode UTF-16.

    I downloaded a few library here: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-10153

    I can read the file, convert the data to ASCII/UNI/UNI and then write the file. But when I open the new file with an editor like Notepad ++ there is some unexpected characters at the end of the line.

    Even read the file and write exactly the same doesn' data not work.

    I've attached an example.

    Thanks for you the kind of support.

    Right click on your functions read and write text files.  There is an option to "Convert End Of Line".  Who turned off the two functions.

    As a side not, you need not close file functions.  The functions Read and Write Text File will close the file that reference output file is not connected.

    By default, the option of coding in Notepad is set to save as ANSI and there is no way to set UTF-8 by default. This is normal. If you want to save the file and change the encoding, you need to manually set the UTF-8 encoding.
