Scaling Up video 1080 p in 720 p sequence?

All my images for a project is shot in 1080 p. The final support will be delivered in 720 p. I want to change a part of the sequence (jump cut) in the sequence. What is the best way to ensure that large scale clips are at maximum image quality? Is it important if the sequence is 720 p or 1080 p? Thanks for any help.

If you clear the scale to the size of the frame for the selected clips, there is no scaling and ensure maximum quality and it seems to be enhanced, but aren't. You can then use Motion/position to get the exact image you want without loss of quality. As soon as you set the scale to 100%, you will lose quality. IY you are using less than 100% scale, you are scaling down, no more.

  • Choppy made video 1080 p in CS5

I just got a Canon HFG10 that produces 1080 p 24 video natively with AVCHD and I play with basic workflow.  I opened a clip in first Pro CS5 and then export it as h.264 1080 p 24, it seems, nothing moves.  The video that follows, however, is choppy, with a lot of dropped frames (even if everything else with it is very good, and the original video clip plays fine in Quicktime).  In Media Encoder default transmission speed is higher than the camera, so I wrote it down for match, but with no apparent improvement.  If I export to 720 p, all is well.  Are there other configuration settings, that I should be adjusted?  I use the 64-bit version of CS5 on Win7 x 64 on a Core i7 970 (six cores, 12 threads) with 12 GB of RAM, dedicated scratch disk, SSD for apps and 10 K rpm HARD drive for data.  Thank you.

  • C40 with 1080 p and 720 p cameras

I have a C40 with a camera 1080 p as main and two 720 p cameras Garland. My problem is that cameras 720 p two continue to go to mode standby when not in use. So, when I use the preset for them to be shown they rock mode of privacy to the preset position. Then when another camera preset is used the camera switches to the privacy mode. Can I disable this feature? There is no option in the menus of codec or the API files.

From your brief description, looks like cameras are their stand-by.  You did not mention which version of the software that you use on the C40, but the adjustment has been there for a while.

This can be configured on the C40.  In the web interface, go to Configuration-> Eve and then set the 'StandbyAction', 'None' rather than 'Position of privacy' - this will leave the cameras pointing in the same direction when the camera goes to sleep.

As for the camera to swing towards the Position of privacy when another preset is used - that sounds particular preset as it was set incorrectly (with cameras in the position of privacy).

  • Reading of interlaced scaling BAD video in the preview of files 2015.3

Hello, working in first Pro 2015.3 blow us up the size of the video to any value, say 110% (to exclude boom to the shot or other).  While we make (in ALL preview format - they all have the same defect).  During playback, we get bands chunky of a coarse comb effect where fields are of course spread over a fast movement.  It looks like old fashioned gross low resolution scaling.  Here is a screenshot of instant pause the playback view, it shows part of the image at 100% is to say 1:1 pixel to the screen:

    Screen Shot 2016-07-06 at 13.14.35.png

Then, we step forward (or rear of a framework to get the view full resolution according to the natures/parked frame display.)  Then, the effect of coarse comb went and we see the software displaying a reasonable interpretation:

    Screen Shot 2016-07-06 at 13.14.48.png

See how the striping is much better.  That's what you'd naturally expect to see reading all the courses in your sequence of rendering, because you have A) full playback resolution and B) you have actually rendered images for preview files (even choose the preview format that actually matches camera codec) or even a format Prores422 HQ.

But now in 2015.3 in our normal workflow for many years, we can not be satisfied that our work is acceptable for broadcast because he plays today back this feverish comb coarse, crude effect.  So now we have to discount or ignore what we see and make a movie out and play this movie in reading software (Quicktime Player or MXF reader) just to see if it IS OK.  This means that any work of self-QC in first became useless.  This also means that we can make our work for customer insight and look with the first client.

    WHAT CAN WE DO?

NOTE, HOWEVER, if we don't make a preview of a file and so native playback (DALYS-100) with yellow bars on top, it's all THE FINE - no gross comb effect - that is, it is exactly the same as the frame step full resolution/render!

How can this be?  How can we better than quality render rendered Max reading UN-rendered file?

We have even exported and then imported a rendered movie file and same that reads with the same effect of coarse comb despite this new film now playing at the 100% level.  While any player left 3rd he plays well - that you expect it to be.

Exactly the same problem that happens on our other new 6-core MacPro with graphic AMD over-pants 500 3072 MB on El Capitan card (these are the guys that started with this complaint, that they cannot trust their work).  Of course after color correction, effects and subtitles, most of our sequences MUST be made... until we need to do?

Some have reverted back to 2015.2 where it is is not a problem.

    Concerning

I think that one of our in-house editors found a work around for this bug. Try adding a layer of setting on the video that is resized. This seems to fix deinterlacing problems when scaling of images.

  • Reduction of scale 4 k video 1080.

I shot a few vide0 in 4 k and my computer is having a hard time trying to run. I read somewhere that 4 k can be sized down to 1080 and then reduced to 4 k when done editing. I have it going in sequence settings after that video 4 k is in my time line. When I change the settings of the sequence up to 1920 x 1080 it zooms the way film in. Does nothing to play smoother back.

I wasn't expecting the zoom in, am I doing this right?

I want to change 4 k video in 1080 and then resize back to 4 k. Is it possible to do?

  • Photoshop CS6 does not load videos 1080 p?

    Hello! I use Extended CS6, on a 64-bit Windows.

  • Black bars ontop of video with 960 x 720, but not with 1280 x 720 (video 4:3)

I am encode a video for youtube using parameters Grisetti and Cloudman suggests here:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/623549?TSTART=0

The results were great, even for my 4:3 videos.  However, by using the suggested settings to 1280 x 720 on my 4:3 videos, I realized that my Youtube videos have black side bars encoded in the video (which makes thumbnails of youtube have also their)

What I want to do is to retain the settings, but re - encode my video 4:3 without sidebars.  Earlier, I have spend the setting to 960 x 720, it still looks good, but a little piece of black bar is added on the top and sides.  As mentioned, it does not top when encoding to 1280 x 720. No other settings are changed.

Thank you much for the help!

You encounter a discrepancy between the film Source of the layer and the project preset. This ARTICLE goes into detail.

Now, for the ill-matched sequences, you can scale your clip on the Timeline, with the fixed effect > Motion > scale. Unfortunately, if we go just with scale to the size of the default image, the first suitable dimension, will leave others unanswered. You must manually increase the small Clips (will slightly degrade the image) and let the size of the frame of the project effectively of cultures. To set which is "cropped", you will want to use the fixed effect > Motion > Position.

    Good luck

  • Always get horizontal lines on video during export to 720 x 480 AVI with "Deinterlace" turned on

    Professional Hello again fine,

    I use 6 first on a Windows 7 computer.

I always get horizontal lines in my video during export to AVI 720 x 480, even with "Deinterlace" lit.

I had a doubt on another thread and said robodog2 that it is interlaced with the lines of the file are not displayed when you use a selection of progressive export file...

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/852077

So I found the box "Deinterlace" via "chronology of export > movie > settings > special treatment > Modify > deinterlace ', but if I have this box checked, I still have horizontal lines.

Here are the screenshots of the same base video before importing them in at first for an effect reverse, and after I saved the resulting file 720 x 480 AVI... the final file appears with the same horizontal lines if yes or no deinterlacing is checked.

Lines are more visible when viewing the video in Windows Media Player they appear in these screenshots below... the lines have in fact characteristics of edge in the public eye.  The lines look like an old used TV sometimes when the antenna was not getting good reception.  Also, I am saving successfully the "chronology of export > movie" path with different codecs (this is no longer a file generated from the preview, I was talking about in the previous thread on this)... so I'm sure all the parameters with this version and I get this result with three different codecs, with and without the "Deinterlace" checked... I had the same experience over and over yesterday evening while he was also working with another file.

No one knows what is the cause?... Please see the pictures below

    Thank you

Horizontal lines showing in this first 6, 720 x 480, 30 fps AVI file

    PremiereEXPORTED720x480avi_horizontalLINES.jpg

    Hi David,

Yes, I finally solve this problem, based on a chance observation on another forum.  On another forum a guy once mentioned the setting ' NONE FRAME ' in the 'Record Options' in the dialog "Export movie" when I export my movie to an AVI file, as seen in my screen shot below.  Otherwise, I think that setting was failing to "FIRST FRAME ABOVE".

For the most part, I was getting these terrible horizontal lines when I exported the graphic effects that I created with imported Photoshop layers in my film projects... in these kinds of exports that horizontal lines were much worse and more obvious that if I was just export a project with the actual video that I had imported in my project.

But still, even with the imported video, as examples of images that I posted on this thread, even in this case I saw the horizontal lines.

So one guy on another forum said something about "ANY FRAME" setting in my export dialog box.  It relates to something else about deinterlacing it is better for this problem as the "FIRST FRAME SUPERIOR" or "FIRST FRAME BELOW" settings.

As can be seen in my screenshot below, which is the setting I talk, but I was using the old 6 first of 1999all about, and options in the new versions of first export dialog are different.  The guy on the other forum that mentions that setting, that eventually solved my problem, said that the adjustment did not differ in a newer version of first he used, but I found this setting in my dialog "Export movie" , and that solved the problem.

It was so simple and I went by so many things to try to solve it, including my files running through other apps to try to pre empt the problem and none of it worked... He just turns out to be THAT simple adjustment "ANY FIELD" and that solved the whole problem.

First 6 and some newer versions of first, seem to have other problems, such as the creation of an oblong shape, rotation image from a round graph-shaped eggs after importation and applying an effect of rotation, but otherwise, once I realized that the solution of horizontal lines, I did pretty well understand many things in this former first and I got pretty good results.

    Viel Glück!
