Scan the disc does not

Hello. I am trying to run scan disk on my system disk. but when I click on the "Check now" in the "error checking" button, nothing happens. I also tried to run chkdsk in command prompt, but it gives the error not found "ulib.dll. Reinstall the application. What should do?

Running chkdsk from a command prompt, you see a message like this:

Chkdsk.exe - Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because ulib.dll not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

This will be the Event Viewer system log:

Event ID: 26

When you click the "Check now" in the properties button, error checking nothing seems to happen.

Since it's one of 3498 files who cares about Windows File Protection, it should never be missing.  If he is absent it may have been quarantined (effectively removed) by your antivirus/antimalware application not specified on your system of unspecified of brand and model with unspecified XP version and the Service Pack.

I can assure you with certainty at 100% that the running sfc/scannow will not replace the missing file (sorry, that Microsoft committed 'experts' Support Engineer).

I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

c:\Windows\System32
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files).

When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called ulib when the name of the file should really be called ulib.dll (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

You then put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

That may not solve all your problems, but at least you will be spending this part and we can then fix the rest.

    If you follow the 7 steps, you can dl a trial through one of the links on this page: http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html

    and activate it with your serial number.

    If you have a problem with dl, you don't follow all 7 steps.  as a general rule, do not carefully follow the steps 1, 2 or 3 is the problem.

    Control of cyclic redundancy or CRC errors, usually occur when copying data to a CD or DVD. The error may indicate a bad block, a damaged disc or a hardware problem.

    You can check whether or not the CD works in another computer.

    Ok.  This is my second time to enter in this.  I have an ADF and have tried SEVERAL times to scan but my scanner WILL NOT use the ADF.  I chkd information available on this forum but nothing I've tried has worked.  It is "operator error" or "hardware error"?  I tried to use this feature because I bought the printer and it never worked. Finally decided I had to see it through and try to get help.  But I worked on it for 4 hours and feel like a "hostage" - the frustration isn't quite describe how I feel now.  I get in a panick because I needed to scan 10 pps two hours ago and here I am STILL sitting trying to get this d * thing #$ % to work.  Help, please!

    I have upgraded to windows 10 so now using the windows driver. I tried to use print and scan of the doctor. Search printer but can't find ink levels using ink supplys comes up with the message not connected or not installed, but it has already found. I tried fix impression happens but with error on the status of the device: cleaning of cartridge (message). Access printer services, but all of the grayed out icons. If I ignore the status of device failure and try to test page it prints the test page no problem so why don't the other options work.

    It would be the only way I found to get the printer to print without depending on the software on a Windows PC. The only other way to view ink levels effectively would be to connect the printer to a Windows XP computer.

    Recently, I noticed that a server was approaching the 600 GB HDD capacity.  If (as I did with other servers), I increased the size of the volume on the SAN.  vSphere found the climb.  Then, I was able to go into Disk Manager and I saw (unpartioned) free space on the server.  I expanded the volume without problem.  But when I go into windows Explorer, it still shows the old ability.  Since I've done it before on other servers, I'm a bit mixed upward.  I even restarted early this morning to see if he'll fix it, but it didn't.  So, I missed a step key somewhere?  Most of my other servers are windows 2008 R2... this one is windows 2008 standard... is there a problem because of this?  It seemed simple enough.  I did some preliminary research, this morning, but I could not find a definitive answer anywhere.  So, I thought I'd try everyone here.  Any ideas?

    You can try the diskpart utility to extend the drive.

    Open the command prompt

    1 diskpart

    2 volume of the list

    3. Select the volume

    4 extend the file system

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
    Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
    This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

    According to the request, I understand that your system is unable to recognize the F: drive after inserting a disc. I appreciate your efforts to solve this problem.

    The issue could be due to one of the following reasons - the drive might be bad, might have a cable loose or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

    Given the clicking of the drive I suggest you to clean the optics on the drive by wiping with a barely damp q-tip.

    If there is a possibility of cables in bulk. I suggest to remove the power supply, then make sure that the cables at both ends. Remove and replace firmly. For laptops, you can often clean power and contacts data with a pencil eraser.

    1. Open the Control Panel.
    2. Click on Device Manager and select CD/DVD.
    3. Double click on the drivers tab.
    4. Click update drivers and right click on the Uninstalldisk.
    5. Reboot- it will refresh the default driver stack.
