ScanJet 200: mac: scanjet Installer invalid digital signature

Hi y' all,.

Try to get a new scanjet 200 works with my iMac (Yosemite 10.10)... but the included CD doesn't seem to work. I get the following pop-up message when you try to run the Setup program:

"HP Scanjet Installer can ' t be installed because its digital signature is not valid." The package has been signed with a certificate that has been revoked. This package may not install what you expect. Get a new copy of the package, and then try again.

Well... easier said than done. It was true that drivers etc. could be easily downloaded from the HP support page, but no more, it seems. Local HP support seems to be either nonexistent these days, or does not respond. Ideas, anyone?

Don' t want to return the scanner, but if all else fails...

Thank you!

Pete

Hi Pete,.

    Hi samspenny,

I see many users who ran the scan on their computers using the software AVG anti-virus is facing error messages similar.

Return return to previous versions of AVG has solved it concern. You can see an example of the same thing:http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xphardware/thread/8445d911-ebb0-4292-96ba-749de4fcb672

This error may have caused, if more than one security software is installed on the computer. If so, I suggest to uninstall the security software.

If you have confusion on the selection of security software, you can install Microsoft Security Essentials.

You can even download free at the link below:http://www.microsoft.com/securepc

It updates automatically and it allows users to use their computer without interruptions or long computer wait times.

  • Windows Installer broken error of digital signature after execution of moy.

Original title: Windows Installer broken digital signature__

I installed AVG tuneup on my two laptops. Now when I scan my computer two MSI report broke digital signatures. Does anyone have a solution for this problem

    Hello

A digital signature is an electronic security mark that can be added to the files. It allows you to verify the Publisher of a file and helps verify that the file has not changed since it has been digitally signed.

If the file does not have a valid digital signature, has no way for you make sure that the file is actually from the source, of what he wants, or that he didn't has not been tampered with (possibly by a virus) since its publication.

After my research, I have found many users who have faced the problem were able to resolve back to earlier versions of AVG. You can also try.

  • Problem with a digital signature on a Windows installation DVD

I bought a new laptop which has Windows 8.1, but I rather have Windows 7. This is why I bought a new copy of Windows 7 Home Premium, on a DVD. I think it's authentic. The DVD has holograms fantasies around the hub, which would probably be difficult to simulate. Unfortunately, the installation does not work. He gets regarding copying the files from the DVD and compression of the CAB files. The computer restarts and the installation is stopped due to an error. It seems that the file C:\~WINDOWS\~BT\System32\winload.efi has a digital signature that can be verified. The file must come from the DVD. The same file in the data Windows 8.1 is a part of Microsoft, and it has a valid digital signature. How does it all, that the same file from the DVD is not recognized by Microsoft?

It is possible, in the F8 advanced boot options, key to select an option 'Disable driver signing checking', but I can't make it work. The setting is lost when the system reboots and no amount of pressure on the F8 key it will answer. In msdn some additional ways are described, to disable driver signing checking, but I'm not confident about their use. In any case, I wouldn't tinkering like that, with a DVD so-called Microsoft authentic.

    Can someone help, please?

    Hello

To answer your question, windows $. ~ BT is a startup folder temporary created during the installation of Windows that has the installation log entries.
As for the freezing of the installation, I believe that the problem is with your media so please check if the media is corrupt.
You try to install on another computer for cross-checking if the media is corrupt.

Try to perform a custom Setup to disconnect all external devices.

Are you dual boot Windows 7 and 8.1?

  • Second digital signature invalid one

    Hi all

I'm having some trouble adding a second digital signature to an already digitally signed PDF file. The library that I use to manage PDF files is open source, so I change the PDF files programmatically. The first PDF I produce, PDF1 (PDF with a signature), has a valid digital signature. The second PDF file I produce, PDF2 (the PDF file with two signatures), has the second marked signature as valid, but the first as not valid with the following error:

    Error during signature verification.
Unexpected byte range values defining scope of signed data.
Details: The signature byte range is invalid

I have read and applied all the "best practices" on the PDF digital signature, so I add the second signature in incremental mode and I am sure that the second PDF has no change in the first part, this is because if I do a binary comparison of PDF1 PDF2, the first part of the PDF2 equals PDF1. So, if you remove the part of PDF2 (after the first %% EOF), you get PDF1, once again, with the digital signature is valid. So the problem seems to be in something again in the part of PDF2 making Acrobat Reader X think that the first digital signature is not valid.

If you want to see three PDF files, here are the links:

    The original PDF: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v & pid = explore & chrome = true & srcid = 0BzrgexS80Iq_ODQxZTY2MDk tNTQyYi00YTE0LTk0MTctYWMxNDFiOWY4MjA5 & hl = en_US

    PDF1: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v & pid = explore & chrome = true & srcid = 0BzrgexS80Iq_ZDQ3MTk1ZmI tNWI4NS00YzdhLTkxNmUtODk1NjVmY2M2NTVh & hl = en_US

    PDF2: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v & pid = explore & chrome = true & srcid = 0BzrgexS80Iq_ZGM1YmZhMWE tY2JiYi00YzZkLWE5ZjItNzgwM2RlNzExYWE1 & hl = en_US

Any help will be very appreciated. Best regards.

    Hello

I don't know if this helps, but I found something unusual with your PDF2. Just at the beginning of the second incremental update (with the new signature), the first object is added without a carriage return. This the last line of the previous update mark looks like this:

    %% EOF3 0 obj

Perhaps which leads to an incorrect analysis and then invalidates the signature? Not sure on this subject, but as far as I can read offsets, your ranges of bytes are correct.

I'm be repeated pop-up message says "HP PrecisionScan LT Installation - Digital Signature not found '.  I can accept that, but then when you try to install the software a message says: "software you are installing for this hardware HP ScanJet 3300 has failed the Windows Logo test.

Simply click on continue sort & install the driver. Because it is on the site of HP so nothing bad will happen. After completion of the installation, restart the computer. You will see then your device work well or not?

Otherwise you can disable the feature of Windows by the following method of the driver signing:

    * So what the hell is happening? Sorry, but am getting very frustrated by that. I noticed that windows creates a file called windows.old. Avoid the old windows, it's an empty hard disk, and it was an installation of full version. NOT an upgrade. As to why my product key does not work... not even me angry by publishing what I've seen elsewhere in these forums. I DO not pay another $200 for a different product key. This one should work. I just opened this "thing" to do the installation. So if this key was stolen, it was stolen that microsoft has packaged discs.

Can I safely delete this file called windows.old (assuming that I can always go back to windows 7)? Do you think this has nothing to do with the problem? Or should I do what ppl do upgrades mean that they have to do... Reinstall win 7?
    * He let me use F8 for advanced options to disable the driver signature.

Thank you! Got the product key problem is resolved. I saw on another post, you stated

"The start menu with EasyBCD by NeoSmart Technologies edition should solve your problem, it provides a graphical front-end to the BCDEdit Command line that makes it easy for you to set the boot settings and change the entries start on the new window manager.

    http://NeoSmart.NET/DL.php?id=1   "

Now that address my other question as much as me have allowed difficulty delivers windows boot is seen? I see that windows 7 is a file boot.ini as previous versions of windows. I would like to see the "command-line" some win 7 has instead of boot.ini file uses. I suspect something may be there that causes the driver signature error... and tried the 'bootrec' methods above doesn't solve anything for me.

Thanks a lot for your help in this matter. (Once I get the verify signature driver disabled it goes straight in win 7 and win 7 works fine.) It just will not be disabled whenever I start my pc. I always have to fight to get the window that gives me the ability to disable.)

The computer is a mid-2015 15 "MacBook Pro. I use the disk utility installation program to format the Macintosh HD partition. I used the El Capitan terminal Installer set the hour correct system. I tried to install using another USB port.

So apparently no one can help me...

I found a solution to disable the verification of digital signature in Windows 7, but for that you have to open CMD as administrator.
Guess what, same CMD refuses to open, because it does not recognize the digital signature...

How to turn off this thing until I throw my PC in the trash...

  • Pavilion d m6-1045dx: digital signature

I just reformated recently. Was not difficult, just felt it was time.  After the new installation of Windows 7, it began to appear, for example after the installation of the graphics driver Intel high definition (HD). I tried to download again, but I don't think that it installed properly.  Looking in the Device Manager it tells me this: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52) I get this pretty much everything what re books one (digitally signed drivers)... Also a problem is preventing the resolution of Windows problems to start. I cannot even update windows, says service not running... Is there a driver I need to install the first before hand? Don't know which ones I need, I never had this problem with one of my computers...

OK so this is fixed... upgraded for Windows 10. Everything works perfectly now, just thought you should know.

I still want to know why I had this problem. I'd be happy to hear your opinion...

  • Code 80070241 in Windows update and "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file" when you try to run any program.

Windows Update has appeared today when we started one of our machines, informing us that there are some installed updates. After reviewing the updates, we clicked on the "Install now" button, and immediately, it failed with the above error code.

I tried to run regedit a reason unrelated, and it came with a dialog box error with "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. »

After researching here and elsewhere on google and did not find anything suitable, put us in the Win7 disk, recovery tools and tried to go back to a previous system restore point (3 days).

The restoration went well, restarted, but the problem persists.

Then, we just tried to install anti-malware software, but when trying to run the installer, we get a different error message indicating 'ShellExecuteEx failed; Code 577 "and then the same message on the verification of the digital signature.

The computer is running fine all yesterday and has worked very well since just after the new year when he has been upgraded to Windows 7. No material changes have been made, and no software changes were made by users in the course of last week.

The computer is an AMD Athlon II X 4 with 4 GB of RAM on a motherboard Asus M4A78-EM, linking a 64 GB SSD, with a 250 GB drive SATA data/programs. GPU is a Nvidia 260, and it has a CD and DVD player as well. It is connected to our router using the gigabit ethernet interface motherboards.

It was under windows 32 - bit XP SP3 up just after the new year. When we put in place the new SSD to replace a hard drive older than we have did a new install of XP (slipstreamed with SP3) and then used the upgrade 32-bit W7 Home premium DVD version to upgrade the system. Since then, the system runs flawlessley.

On the machine is MS office XP, Firefox 3.6.3, AVG 8.5 and a few games such as the Turbine DDO.

The main user account used to try to solve these problems and to run Windows Update and try installing programs is a member of the Administrators group.

Firefox works fine, serve, and he plays the games installed very well also. AVG reports to date, with no problems and has detected no threat.

However, try to view the registry with regedit, or start Viewer event or compmgmt.msc that all do appear the message "cannot verify the digital signature.

    ***************************************************

Can anyone offer an opinion on what might be wrong with this facility please, and how we could do to solve?

Cannot run chkdsk/scandisk as he bought the message "cannot verify the digital signature" etc etc.

This morning, the machine began to behave differently - stop playing back badly, refused to start Device Manager, open Control Panel correctly etc.

So, I reset the BIOS to boot from the CD-ROM, slapped XP SP3 in reinstalled, then upgraded to Win 7 again.

Still have no idea what caused the problem, but it seems to be gone now - reinstalled the same applications, AV / programs anti-malware, games, etc and everything seems to go fine now.

    * shrug *.
