  How many times does the error appear? Were the machine in unusual conditions as too hot environment or has some liquid on it or something?

  Hi all,

  I have the Satellite A200 - 1 M 8.
  When works after a bit or and later the screen goes black but the pc still works.

  So, I have to press the power of about sutdown, then when iam open his excellent work.
  This problem happen 1 ounce a day, maybe 2 times and 3 times and sometimes its good work all day!

  Pleasure left in the laptop works.

  I send to the company that is authorized by toshiba and they told me that the problem is the hard drive and pleasure, it's a lie!

  Maybe you should contact the other service to hear different opinions about it. I don't see that the HARD drive has something to do with it.

  I have a Satellite A210 - 16G and I decided to the new version of BIOS (2, 00-WIN32) flash. I downloaded the new version, the decompressed files two (setup.exe and alaa200a.rom), quit all running programs and disconnected from the internet and launch the setup.exe.

  After a program window apperared and it starts automatically check my bios version (strange thing - cooler system started working with maximum RPM) and after 5-10 seconds, this window became blink and at the top, there was a message 'no response '.

  I thought that it is ok and I expect about 15 minutes for a result...
  But I suck. I closed the window and tried to restart, but suddenly I got a white screen.

  I disabled a camputer in now the power button / stop.
  And after that I can depend on to it - I press the power button, then a power led lights and that's all, blinking screen, no response.

  I have a problem with the brightness on my Satellite A200 - 14 d in vista, the default settings have very high brightness and when I change the brightness after a reboot there are default settings... (VGA is GeForce 7300 go)

  As far as I know there is nothing strange. The same thing was happening to me. If you want to have the brightness of the display on the lever of the lover all the time, it must be changed in power options. Please select your preferred profile (symmetric for example) and set the LCD brightness to the lower level.

  I've had this very annoying problem for a few days now:

  Whenever I hit the "FN" button, I get a blue screen of death... :-(

  I restored the system to a previous restore point, and then did a scan of CCleaner and fixed everything, but the blue screen comes up again and again.

  I have an A200 running family vista premium, it worked like a charm until this problem appeared...

  The problem is that it is not easy to say what causes this blue screen of death.
  The BSOD appears usually due to hardware or software serious misconduct.

  It was a good idea to restore the system to the point of beginning and use the CCleaner to fix the system.
  But it would be really desirable to use the Toshiba Recovery CD to recover the laptop.
  This allows to know if it s a hardware problem (motherboard) or only a software problem (driver).
  After using the recovery CD, the laptop should run without worries.
  If the BSOD will always appear then the chances are that the hardware is defective and the replacement could only help.

  You have probably inadvertently, you press a combination of keys that changed the orientation of your screen.

  You can try pressing the CTRL with the BOTTOM TOP/arrow keys to see if this will bring (you may also try the arrow keys left and right, if this does not work).   On most PCs, you can rotate the screen back using Ctrl-Alt-arrow top or right click on the desktop and then selecting graphics options, Rotation.

  As these functions are provided by the graphics card rather than Windows 7 itself, you need to go to control panel, display, settings, advanced settings and look around the display adapter facilities it [they are all arranged differently so there is no guide on what is here].  You will probably be able to find the shortcut keys, they put in place for the rotation of the screen & you have a way to turn them off if you don't normally have their.

• Satellite A200 - brightness of the screen - "dull".

  My screen Satellite A200 has recently become quite dull. When it turns firstly it is very good; and then she falls back on a Matt screen I tried to adjust the brightness using FN F7 - but is is already set at the higher brightness.
  Anyone have any idea what may have caused this and how can I remedy this?
  I have a couple of little boys who tend to press the keys at random with their dirty little fingers sometimes! I also had problems with this laptop in the past with overheating - so I hope this isn't part of the problem.

  Hi, guys. :)

  I'm having a problem with my display. I don't have an external display to test on so I have to give the service a go because I don't want to buy the part after part and replace it with my 'old' just to know that the problem is not caused by the latter. That said, here is a more detailed description of the source of my headaches:

  More than 3 weeks ago (yeh, that much!: D) the backlight of my screen (Toshiba Satellite A200 - 14 d) turned black. "No worries!" I thought because I had 2 cases before replacing the inverter Board. If things were really that simple... * sigh * I bought a frequency inverter making sure that is the problem (I can see what happens on the screen only if I have a bright source of light pointed in his direction - this is what made me think that the problem comes from the Commission of the inverter).

  I replaced the inverter, but to my great disappointment, the bakclight does not turn on or at least not for long. I noticed that there is light in the lower right corner of the screen. Once I disassembled completely my screen and a large part of the laptop itself, I have riddled the cables a bit and now if I don't move around the screen and put it in a special position backlight turnes on until after load of the GRUB bootloader. But sometimes it lights. So obviously this isn't the backlight itself (phewwww) for when it is activated, I can see the entire screen and there is a bright light everywhere.

  So before considering service I want to have a diagnosis of my own (with your help of course: D) and see, just for the record, if I'm right.
  As I wrote before - I don't have an external display to test these things. I can play movies and games without a problem (it's - regardless of the fact that I do not see a thing without a flashlight in my hand into account: D).

  So the omho problem is either the motherboard itself (which I can test with an external display :() or cable.
  In view of the facts and experiences, I did and described above, I think that cable is the source of all evil.

  If the FL inverter didn t solve the problem, then there must be problems with a screen itself

  The external monitor would check if the problem is related to the graphics chip or the screen itself, but if you have no external monitor then I would recommend a visit to a downtown computer technician

  I mean, it is best to check the parts first before replacing something without knowing if the part is really affected you know

  If you want to connect a second disk of this machine slot that there must be a connector and if you don t have a t, you can put in a second HDD.
  Not every Satellite A200 has such connector.
  On the second HARD drive Bay, I founded the following information in the user manual:

  But you can use a second HDD in the slot of the CD/DVD drive. For this you can use a Bay for a second HDD.

  My father gave me his old Sat A200 and I can't seem to understand how to use the built in bluetooth to transfer files from my phone to my laptop.

  You can also check if you can see a BT tag at the bottom of the unit.
  If there is no label and then the BT module is not available and cannot be used.
