Screenshot of part of a window/screen

Hello. Is it possible to make a screenshot of part of a window/screen.

Screenshot API

I found http://developer.blackberry.com/native/reference/cascades/bb__system__screenshot.html

I would like to provide details or even better, a container ID and take a screenshot of anything in this container.

How do you do that?

slashkyle seems to be the most knowledgeable on this...

http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/native-development/save-a-container-into-the-SD-card/m-p/2581...

I have not looked at his code, but I don't see why you couldn't save a screenshot, take the position and size of the container that you want to capture and save a version cropped of the saved image.

My grandson was able to return my windows screen. I'm now work backwards. How can I recover it?

    Hello

    Try this:

Press Ctrl + Alt and arrow key TOP.

If that does not fix it, Ctrl + Alt and try each of the other arrows until the problem is fixed.

You may be able to use this method if necessary:

You can right click on an empty part of the desktop > select Graphics Options > then Rotation.

  • Laptop stuck on "Starting Windows" screen

So, this afternoon, I tried to start my laptop HPG42-373, and it got stuck on "Starting Windows" screen. I ran tests of memory at startup and primary HD, in which startup failed, and primary HD came out with this: "hard disk 1 (303) Quick '. What can I do to solve this problem, if anything, or just to save what I can from my old files?

    Hello

303 error code is a disk failure short self-test and would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  This is also consistent with the question of commissioning.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the disk replaced - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If you are out of warranty and would like a guide to replacing the hard drive yourself, let me know.

    ************************************

Concerning access to the data on this HARD drive, here are some options you can try.

    1. one possible way to try to recover your files from a disk non-boot is to follow the process described in the link below.  The CD of the Ubuntu operating system you create can launched from the CD alone (IE it doesn't have to be installed on the hard drive) and I've often found to successfully extract data even a hard failure.  When you created the CD, follow the instructions and see if you can save your existing files.

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/use-Ubuntu-Live-CD-to-backup-files-from-your-dead-Windo...

2 another option would be to remove the drive HARD, place it in an external enclosure - is an example of the link below - connect to another PC and see if you can access your files.

External 2.5 HARD drive caddy ".

I know that your question refers to Windows Media Player but
the free VLC Media Player can easily capture screen
shots of the video reading course and no cropping is
    Mandatory.

You can set it to save the screenshot to the folder of
your choice in the format of your choice and all what you
    is press SHIFT + S.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    VLC Media Player (32-bit Version)

(works on XP, Vista, 7, 8)
(the name of the file to download is: vlc - 2.1.2 - win32.exe)

After leaving by clicking on 'download latest Version '.
button... WAIT... and the download dialog box opens.

  • How can I move the window when the upper part of the window of the Organizer is to join on a Mac?

I saw a similar question on the forum of a user with a PC.  I use two monitors.  I tried to go back to a monitor with a chance now.  I use Mac OS X 10.7.4 - at some point during the use of the Organizer, the top of the window went above the desktop menu bar.  So I lost the part of the window and all the icons use Organizer.  I tried playing with the display settings and did some net searching, but have not been able to solve.  I rebooted, update software, stopped and restarted the elements, but can not get the window in the center of my screen.  Other suggestions

Are you sure your put your view back to the highest setting (system prefs > poster)? It is not really possible to do under normal circumstances.

Go in your username > library > Preferences and delete organizing com.adobe.Elements. [version number] .com. You'll normally more than one, with a slightly different spelling. In lion, this library is hidden. To see option click on the menu go to the Finder and it will appear below the small house for your user account.

  • In the window below the toolbar in Firefox, I can't click on the links in the upper part of the window, that is to say the cursor does not change in the hand icon and the link is not highlighted.

The toolbar and the lower part of the window works normally, like the window of Internet Explorer.
I reinstalled Firefox with no improvement.

Recently, the Yahoo toolbar and the extension of Babylon have been reported because of this problem. They appear to overlap invisibly on the top of the display of the web page. If you have either or both, uninstall them / it, or see if an update is available that solves the problem.

  • Re: Satellite 1130-z24 - looking for the part number or a screen

    Hello world

Never done this before, are looking for the part number or a screen for the z24 1130 above

    help please.

    Hi michael,.

In my opinion, you should contact an authorized service provider. Why? Guys can you tell the exact part number and order a new replacement screen for you. On the Toshiba site, you can search for them.

Alternative look on eBay. Here you can often get second hand spare parts. The screen is an expensive item so maybe you have a little luck on eBay.

  • My whole windows screen turned sideways. Do not know why. Can anyone help?

My whole windows screen turned sideways.  Not sure how it happened.  Does anyone know why this happened and how to fix it?

Press Ctrl & Alt keys and use the arrows to rotate back.

According to the graphics card on your computer, these can be alternatives.

Right click on the desktop | Graphics options | Rotation.

Right click on the desktop | Screen resolution | Orientation.
  • Can you please provide me with the part number for the screen for model #: NX. SHKAA.001?

Can you please provide me with the part number for the screen for model #: NX. SHKAA.001 (AO1 - 131 M-C1T4)?  The first ten digits of the serial number are NXSHKAA005.

Matt or gloss is what it looks like. Some like not brilliant but because most are a reflection. I would say that they would work as long as the resolution of the size and the backlight are the same.

  • Install updates windows on my laptop and after restart is stuck in a loop yets to windows screen then goes beck at startup

installed updates for windows xp windows do not know the last time they did, I think he was as 70 of them after the restart he gets to the windows screen then goes right back to the screen that appears when you turn on safe mode I tried same thing start and I don't know where are the boot disks. Any ideas what to try

    Hi Jim,.

It seems that there may be a startup program or service that is causing the reboot. If the same problem happens even in Safe Mode, the computer is pretty damn good since its XP. XP is still the best OS for many users, but the downside is that there are options unlike Vista and Windows 7, they have JOBS and the Windows recovery environment I've seen have saved a lot of time to repair. YES JOBS.
If you don't have the recovery CD, your computer manufacturer SHOULD have it unless you have an integrated HARD disk restore function. As far as I know, you can request a CD for a few dollars. Around under $ 10, I guess?

  • Stuck on "starting windows" screen during installation of Windows 7

    Hello

I used windows 10 in dell inspiron13 7000 series. Now, I want to use windows 7 as for my personal use. When I try to boot my laptop with USB stick bootable, because I don't have cd player in my laptop. The problem is when I run the startup it stuck at 'starting windows' screen I can't go any further, so I need force shutdown my laptop. I am unable to install windows 7 on my laptop. What can I do, please help me.

    Thank you.

    Hi Praveen,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

We need more information about the issue so that we can help you better.

    1. is Windows 10 still installed on your computer or you have wiped the hard drive?
    2. don't you upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10?

Thank you for details on the issue.

If Windows 10 is installed, you can downgrade to Windows 7 within 30 days of the upgrade. If it crosses the 30 day limit, the option in the settings that allows you to return to your previous version of Windows will not be available.

    Please see this link:
Return to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-10/going-back-to-Windows-7-or-Windows-81

However, if you want to install Windows 7 from an external installation media, you can re-create the rack installation of Windows 7 from this link:
    https://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows7

It is possible that the installation media does not develop properly. Please also make sure that you disconnect all the devices connected to the computer before installing Windows 7.

Note: You may lose programs installed after upgrading Windows 10. I strongly recommend to back up your personal files and data on an external hard drive.

    I hope this information helps.

Simply answer the required information and let us know if you need more help.

    Thank you
