my windows screen became upside.

My windows screen became upside. can anyone help please. Even now as I write this query, I can read on the screen but the screen shows an upside. The mouse works very well but it must turn the computer upside down to see what is going.

Help, please.

Try to press Ctrl + Alt + up ARROW, or try Ctrl + Alt + and a different key to the arrow.

If this does not work: right click on the empty desk > graphics > Rotation.

See you soon.

    Hi FrankMaffie,

    ·         Have to remind you to make changes on the computer before the show?

You must have accidentally hit Ctrl + Alt + left/right/down/arrow up and the screen swivels.

To make this work "shortcut keys" option should be enabled, otherwise it wouldn't work. Here's how you can enable or disable the "keys" on Windows XP.

    a. right click somewhere on the desktop and choose "graphics properties."

    (b) a window opens. There, you can press "Hot Keys" and enable or disable this option by checking or unchecking the checkbox.

    Hi milton the monster.

Check in Control Panel to see if you have a NVidia Control Panel or ATI Control Center icon. You have will depend on which video card to install on your PC. Click the NVidia or ATI and open Center Control Panel. Look carefully at the options and you should see an option for "rotate screen". Click on it and press the appropriate option to rotate the screen in an upright position.

  • Laptop screen became staticky

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 bought last October. Windows 7. Have not installed any hardware, have not let down the laptop or spilled something on it. Last night I got it on battery and it entered into mode 'sleep' while I was eating. When I pressed the power button to get the "sleep mode", he brought to the top of the login screen. After that I connected the screen became staticky with rolling pixelated sections of blue and black. Hit the power button, cell phone shot and turn it back on, showed the Dell logo, brought to the top of the login screen, then took a few seconds for the icons will appear on the desktop. I don't have a screen saver. Called Dell, Rep had me run diagnostics, everything going on. He said that this was not a known issue. Worked very well the rest of the night and seems fine today. Anyone else encounter this?

It seems that the driver may have failed while the system has been put to sleep.  Just as long as things are working fine, after system reboot, you should be fine.  This shouldn't happen very often but I suggest keeping an eye on the system and if the problem persists I suggest reinstalling the video driver.

If you are not familiar with installing the drivers, go to support.dell.com and enter the serial number of your laptop and click ok.  Find the video section and choose the driver for the video card in your system. Download it and run it.  Check and see if you continue to have the problem.

Please let me know if the problem continues and if the video driver reinstall did not help, or if you need help to find what driver you need.

  • HP Pavilion g7 screen became black all in use.

Help, I was using my HP Pavilion g-7 the other day, while the game and the screen became black without reason appairent.  I have not loaded down recently and I run the anti-virus software.

We went to the HP support website and went through several diagnotics.  When you restart the laptop the screen on the laptop starts flashing images of my top of counter, but once the machine starts the screen remains empty.  You can see the glow on the edges, but that's all.  I have another connected currently monitor and the system works fine except for that.  We also have the following, hard reset, Test for memory modual problems, test the hard drive.  I also tried to update the video drivers, but the system tells me that the drivers do not work properly.

It's very frustrating because I'm a student and really need my laptop.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you in advance,

    ACameli

    Hi ACameli,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP Pavilion Notebook g7 and get a blank screen or black at startup. Try perform a reset. When you perform a hard reset note remove all USB devices and remove cards memory card reader location. Disconnect all non-essential devices. If that doesn't help try to turn on the computer, on which you begin to press F11 repeatedly until the menu opens. You can do a System Restore. System Restore will restore the computer to a time when it worked correctly. If you are able to see the book then connect to a monitor, it is not the graphics card or HARD drive. It could be the LED. The only way to find out is to check with a repair shop. LED can be tested in the DMM and they would have to this device. I'd be happy to help you to give you a number if necessary. How can I find my model number or product number?

    Please let me know.

    Thank you.
