original title: screw Microsoft C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 KB2538242

I received an update for Microsoft screws C ++ SP1 KB2538242 every day for the last 10 days.  Why he keep coming and how can I stop it?

Hi CloverZJ

Do you have the patch already installed on the computer, or you do not want to install the update?

If you have no need of the offered update you can hide the update, then Windows Update will not it offer you again unless you choose to restore it. Here's how to hide an update:

a. open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then in the list of results, click Windows Update.

b. do one of the following:

·         Click the link that tells you important updates are available if you have some updates to hide.

·         Click the link that tells you optional updates are available if you have optional updates to hide.

c. Select any update that you want to hide, right-click, and then click hide update. Do this for each update you want to hide.

d. click OK.

See below for the link-

But if you have already installed the update and it is always offered the update several times then I suggest you refer to the Microsoft article provided below and follow the steps in resolution.

I hope this helps.
