Screws missing Acer Aspire S5-391

I will try to summarize what happened here:

My laptop is out of warranty, already, I, however, he was sent to a repair shop that was supposed to be authorized by acer, because the fan starts to make a lot of noise, this being a ultrabook I didn't want Amadou with her.

I waited for 20 days until the guy at the shop told me they sent the bad new fan, I just need to get some info for the work of the computer, got a little desperate and just picked up and ordered the fan on ebay to replace it myself, unfortunately, the returned the laptop repair shop miss me a lot of screws tiny screws. Of course, they said that it was not their fault, blah blah.

Question: anyone know what size are these screws, specific for this model (Aspire S5-391)?

Thanks in advance!

Here are all the screws. You should be able to determine which ones you need.

For some strange reason, two of the screws of my laptop fell, the two rear, top left if the laptop is in front of you. I plan to buy a replacement. Anyone can be of service in informing me of what size and type of screws should I buy?

  • Acer Aspire S7 - 391

So, I bought my QVC S7 - 391from Acer Aspire. They have a good flexpay option which I can afford and a great return policy. Won't in 30 days - just go back. Sweet! He received last week. I returned it the following week.

Ugh... I really want to love this device. Its simplicity is beautiful. The power is fantastic. The resolution, I have even to wear glasses. The construction is solid. The unit is nicely stands out of the Orchard 'Apple' of users in Starbucks or any other place. Finally, a unit that is not in brushed silver, black Matt or slate ish in colour.

Yes, before my purchase - I did my research. I read all news, reviews, opinion, articles, post etc... and anyway, I've always done the purchase. But as soon as I started to feel the "quirks" who all expressed in the comments I had read. I thought, ' hurry up, time to go! "

My experience has been the double tapping keys (I'm not the best typer but I'm a bad typer - I type like a chicken 'to hunt and choose'.)

Another reason for my return, it was losing the cursor. When I placed the cursor where I wanted to, he would move or does not react.

However, I have not met the decline of the wifi service. But very afraid I would. All the post about falling wifi, makes me scared just return it.

Anyway... After all that... and without the unit for the last 4 days only, Miss me it already. Starting to think, I reacted to quickly turning.

Are there any consumer out there with an Acer Aspire S7-391, which has not experienced a technical difficulty at all? One who has had a positive experience of the buyer? Who does not have any quirks with their unit they have bought?

I think again, I reacted to quickly to return my S7-391. Honestly, I think to give him a second chance and get another.

Evaluate the issue from a different angle. Take a look at the forums of other manufacturers.

I suspect you will find similar horror stories. Without doubt some unfounded but is not much.

I do not have a S7, but I agree, there seems to be problems with the wifi in particular. What is unknown, however, is the number of S7 users who have experienced no problem WiFi. If there is a fundamental flaw, each user S7 won't be affected?

There will surely be many Acer users who have not experienced any problems and is more satisfied with their purchase. I'm very happy with mine!

I think it is unlikely that any given machine will require not some "refractory" at one time or another. It is the nature of the beast. However, I expect a new machine to be no problem with regards to the "back of the box" material other that perhaps tweaking the strange to meet personal preferences setting etc.

  • Acer Aspire S7-391 Windows 8.1 Issus with touchscreen and Trackpad

Hello. I've just upgraded to 8.1 Windows, everything went well, but I realize now the touch screen is much less reactive than before, and many times I have to touch twice to make the action, something that never happened to me before with Windows 8.

    ¿Any suggestions?

Another thing is the trackpad, which for example now does not scroll with 2 fingers and other things that did before.

    Thank you

PROBLEM SOLVED WITH THE TOUCH SCREEN!

Go to the Device Manager and look at the Human Interface Devices. There will be some USB devices that end up being the touch screen. If you change the options of feed on those so they don't turn off to save power, the problem should be solved.

Please let me know how it works for you.

    I have an Acer S7 391.

  • Slot in Acer Aspire S7 391 Lock

A shelter for kingstone lock my aspire s7?

anyone has information on this subject?

the following post has never answer...

    OK, thanks in advance.

    matius_x,

I saw the post you mentioned and I found that Acer-Tommy replied. He informed that there is no Kensington lock, but it has a slot "bracelet". This slot allows a strap through the slot of the buckle and then tie or stapped downwards.

  • Acer Aspire S7-391-6810 works under Linux (Ubuntu, say)?

Also, if I install Linux instead of Win8, my warranty will be void?

    Thank you!

    Nice day

Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.) will run on S7-391-6810, HOWEVER, the only problem you will encounter is the drivers and applications on your computer that drivers are only available for the Windows platform.

Regarding the warranty, Acer does not care what you load on the machine, as they cover the software warranty. They cover only the pure component on hardware failure... which means that only produce material defect is covered.

  • Aspire S3-391-604 with Win8 eligible for Win10?

I have an Acer Aspire S3-391-6046 and wonder if she is eligible for a free upgrade of Windows 10?  (i.e. was the stock Windows 8.1 installed with the PC actually win RT 8.1?) How will I know?

    Thank you

    Jim

    jlandwehr61,

The system in question is not on the list of eligible of Acer models, but this does not mean that it cannot be upgraded. What this means, is that acer will not provide support for pilot for the upgrade to Windows 10. In fact, I upgraded one of our portable S3-391 here for Windows 10 use and it works great.

  • Missing power supply Aspire S3-391

    Hello

    I just got my S3 of Aspire new-391 (NC-S3-391-53314G12ADD).
The Quick Guide indicates that I must first read the installation Poster.
The power supply is missing from the box!

Does anyone know where and how to find the power supply?
I'd rather make a configuration before the first use of my laptop.

The box also says to check the content after the seal is broken.

I guess that the checklist is on the same installation plan...

Thank you for your very useful comments!

    Best wishes from the Netherlands

My only advice would be to contact your local support center to see if they have a Poster of installation available for the system.

  • Acer Aspire Aspire E1 - 510 ram ddr3l missing 2nd sodimm socket on motherboard

I have Acer Aspire E1-510-35204G50Mnkk and 4 GB of RAM making, I would like to upgrade with an another 4 GB of memory, but physically there is no second plug for so dimm ddr3l memory of ram on the motherboard. There is place for it on the motherboard, but no plug to plug the ram.

what I can and where to buy second taken, this metal thing on the motherboard and use also second ram memory?

    Thanks in advance

The second slot was an option on some variants E1-510. If you simply want to renovate a second take is hard to say because there may be additional components necessary.

However, the easiest solution would be to simply replace your current 4 GB of RAM with a suitable 8 GB of RAM (which is the maximum for the only hold on your machine). (One or two variants both have a max of 8 GB RAM.)

  • Replace the top cover of Acer Aspire E5 - 571P_0866_V1.01

I would like to replace the top cover of my Acer Aspire E5 - 571P and I am currently looking at this point on ebay.

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/genuine-Acer-Aspire-E5-571P-us-keyboard-w-palmrest-touchpad-AP154000900-/391...

They say so in their description, "Does NOT include the power button" (unlike the image?). I have to buy a separate switch then? Or I could recover my current top cover power button and paste it on that one?

I have no experience with the replacement of the parts of computer so if you have any advice or pointers for me please share with me!

    Thank you in advance.

The power Board is replaceable (a screws) so if your is ok, you can put it on the new cover.

    See PM.
