Script in Photoshop Actions for the canvas size?

I have a variety of sizes of illustrations I want to post on my site;  that would take much less time if I could add a white border in Photoshop Actions by increasing the size of the canvas by 1/4 inch.  Thanks for your suggestions, BAB.

Save a step size of canvas.  Leave the anchor point at the Center. Check relative and the value of 1/2 inch in width and height.  Photoshop will calculate the number of pixels needs to add to increase the width and height 1/2 "and add 1/4-inch canvas on all sides.  If there is a background layer in Photoshop the extra pixels will be 100% opaque and the color can be set in the canvas size dialog box. Can be set to the color of the background sample.  If there is no background layer, the added canvas will be empty.

  • Create a script of automatic action for the 3d rotation effect

    Is it possible to create a script action that automatically applyes rotation with specific settings 3d effect?

    An example would be when I press F2 it rotates the object instantly with my specific parameters without having to rely on anything else.

    Ok.

    you draw a shape, you want. Go to effect > 3D > Rotate and apply the desired settings.

    When your object is selected, go to the graphic Styles palette (window > graphic styles) and create the new graphic style (be it in the palette menu) or the small button. Call something memorable.

    Draw a new object, once again what you want. Open the actions palette (window > Actions). Create new action. Give it a name and assign it to a function key, and then click OK (the action will begin recording).

    Select your new object, then select your new graphic Style in the graphic styles palette. It should apply your 3D settings to the new object.

    Click on the button stop at the bottom of the Actions palette.

    create the new object, select it and press your chosen key. Enjoy.

  • Get/apply the canvas size

    I do some scripts cleaning for some processes of photoshop where I work and thought in a way to eliminate the duty change actions but am not sure that the characters used to perform actions.  What I need is a script that will get the size of the canvas of a single document (I'll call him original.psd for easy reference) and apply it to another document without damaging or resize the layers (I'll call her what a target.psd).

    I already have most of the script, so I just need the lines that will be

    (a) get the canvas of original.psd size and

    (b) applies that the canvas size to target.psd

    Thanks in advance for any help!

    DGolberg

    Need a script to a document of reference before you can work with it. You're not telling the order, that the images have been opened or their names. The code below will get the size of the canvas of the first open document and apply it to the second open.

    var w = app.documents[0].width;// the width of the first open document
    var h = app.documents[0].height;
    app.activeDocument = app.documents[1];// make sure the second open document is active
    app.activeDocument.resizeCanvas (w, h);

    If you want the order of the just switched document exchange the 0 and 1.

  • Resize an image to fill the canvas size according to height?

    Hi guys,.

    Is it possible to resize a picture to fill the canvas size according to height?

    Currently when I place an image, it fits on width, being a landscape on a canvas portrait image I need to fill the height.

    Any suggestions on the best way to do it, maybe an action?

    Thank you

    Gavin

    If the image containing or the picture may vary in dimensions/dimensions a Scripting approach would seem prudent.

    In the contrary case, a conditional Action may be enough.

  • Cropping + change the canvas size

    Hello

    I have a problem (because I'm a beginner in Photoshop), and it's that when I crop and image and try to change the canvas size - change the size because I use a different type of paper - (and anchor the image to the top left), the image looks like the way she was before harvest. Is there another way to do this? I'm doing it wrong?

    Thank you

    Try to use the tool of rectangular selection to a fixed size: 4 in. x 6 in.

    Move the selection where you want it to be.

    Select > Inverse

    Remove.

    Note There is a 64K limit for the total size of all values of a key.

    I don't see that this rule can be valid any longer?

    In my Windows 7 SP1 x 64, I have at least 15 keys with values that add up to more than 65 535 bytes.
    In fact, I have more than 15 values (strings, binary and multiple channels) which, by themselves, have some sizes larger than 65 535 bytes.

    Here are a few examples.

    Native Instruments Kontakt 5 installation;

    Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2011 installation;

    -This key contains 14 values of string, ranging from 1 (the 'P' value) byte to 75 426 bytes (value "max7"), bringing the total size of 116 944 bytes.

    Installation of Windows 7 by default.
    [HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\AppCompatCache]
    -This key contains a binary value of monkey 'AppCompatCache' that has a length of 259 768 bytes of data.

    Another installation of Windows 7 by default;
    [HKLM NT\CurrentVersion\Perflib\CurrentLanguage]
    -This key contains 2 channels multiple values: 'Meter' (87 950 bytes) and 'Help' (418 345 bytes), a total of 506 295 bytes for this key.

    Finally, once again Windows 7 installation by default.
    [HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartPage2]
    -This key contains 3 DWORD and 5 binary values with the value "ProgramsCache" being the most important of all with its 795 404 bytes

    There is no free version of CS2.  There is only a special version of CS2 available for those who have bought and need to reinstall it.

  • Should what the canvas size I use for my project of e-Learning 8 Captivate?

    Hello world!

    The maximum size of my e-learning project is 740 x 555, so that it can adapt to the size of the LMS. E-Learning has a Table of contents and the skin Editor, but of cause I want to use as much fabric as possible.

    It's been a while since I worked with Captivate and has a fragile memory of the published version adds a few pixels. Is it still OK for 8 Captivate?

    Canvas size what do I use to make e-Learning made the LMS, but always include the Publisher of skin and OCD?

    ARO

    Madeleine

    Are you talking about a normal or sensitive project? Is the table of contents separate or overlay? If it is separate, it will add 250px width if you change the width of the table of contents that is now possible. Ditto for the playback bar: is that overlay or not? If this isn't overlay, the number of pixels added to the height depends on the chosen playback bar. You can check its height by looking at the width of the bottom border in the skin Editor. This lower border fits the selected playback bar.

  • Perform the action on the file size

    I feel like a noob when it comes to scripts.

    I am trying to create a script that will put my logo on my images.  My logo size varies depending on whether it's a wallet, 4 x 5, 5 x 7, 8 x 10.

    I know how to check if the activeDocument.width is greater than its height and perform the action of appropriate logo placement, but am not sure how to get everything runs automatically according to the size of the pixel (if activeDocument.width is 2100 pixels, run the action 5 x 7 horizontal logo).  Don't know if I can use several conditions such as:

    If (activeDocument.width > activeDocument.height) AND activeDocument.width = 2100 pixels
    doAction ("5x7_H", "5x7_.atn");

    The coding is not correct, but described what I'm trying to do.

    Thank you

    Paul,

    Your code does not have the same action for Horiz and green docs. And assume that they are 300 ppi?

    How about something like this

    #target photoshop
    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    var Width = doc.width.as('in');
    var Height = doc.height.as('in');
    var Max = Math.max(Width,Height);
    switch (Max){
     case 6 : //6 inch longside
                        if(activeDocument.width > activeDocument.height){
                             doAction ("4x6_H", "actionSet");
                        }else{
                             doAction ("4x6_V", "actionSet");
                        }
                        break;
     case 7 :// 7 inch longside
                         if(activeDocument.width > activeDocument.height){
                             doAction ("5x7_H", "actionSet");
                        }else{
                             doAction ("5x7_V", "actionSet");
                        }
                        break;
     case 10 : // 10 inch longside
                         if(activeDocument.width > activeDocument.height){
                             doAction ("8x10_H", "actionSet");
                        }else{
                             doAction ("8x10_V", "actionSet");
                        }
                        break;
     default : break;

  • Analysis of a psd for the font size.

    I am currently scanning the PSD files. I use imagick for pixelated layers, but I need to get the font data for layers of fonts from imagick can do I need to do it myself. Right now I'm able to grab text, font family, font color, but not the size of the police.

    There are some ' / FontSize xx.xxx ' in the PSD but usually not of them are suitable:

    • In some PSD files all font sizes caught here are disabled by the same scale factor.
    • In some layers of different PSD files is distinguished by the same scale factor.
    • In some files PSD, all sizes are correct.

    Adobe provides specifications for the PSD file format, but these are outdated and incomplete, they don't even mention the size of the font.

    I tried to use a copy of the same file just change the font size, but does not.

    Is there someone who have already done this or ideas pointing me in the right direction?

  • Run the Photoshop Action of the bridge on the raw files without creating a folder JPG

    I created a Photoshop Action that resizes and compresses an image (at 800 pixels at 24% quality). I want to run that Action of bridge on a selection of raw files. I have to do this, the bridge, select the images and select "tools-Photoshop-Image Processor". "In the window options 'Processor of Image', I put the folder to save the images processed, check the ' Action run" check box and select the Action but I have to check one of the 'file Type' (I check '"Save as JPG' with ' quality: 1" ") (it will run only if a"file Type"is selected), then click on 'run '. It then performs the Action on each image and I get the desired resolution file reduced and reduced the size of the file. The problem is that there also creates a JPG subfolder and creates another set of files also to the reduced resolution but the file sizes are larger than the game created by the Action.

    How can I run the Action without creating the subfolder containing the extra set of files whose size size JPG?

    I use v4.0.5.11 Bridge CS5, Photoshop CS5 v12.0.4x32 and Windows XP Pro SP3.

    Thanks to anyone who can help me.

    Batch processing, see options for the dialog box:

    Delete the file Open Options Dialogs (prevents the dialog box camera raw of opening)

    Delete (optional) color profile warnings

    Under Destination set to None (the files are backed up to where the files specified in the save for web (export) step and close step on the farm in action.)

  • The canvas size

    Is it possible that I can set the size of the canvas, so that I can create illustrations of size to the dimensions of the final product?

    Thank you

    Hi Huhma

    Sorry for taking so long to answer. Currently there is no way to customize the size of the canvas to draw to the fate, but if this can help at all, when the output image, the work is made based on the current zoom and exported file always has dimensions of 2048 x 1536px for iPad and 2732 x 2048 for iPad Pro.

    Hope that helps a little.
