script to find base backups

I had a problem of vmware that caused about 30 mV to restart & you know what this means for Appassure... new bases for all.

Is there a relationship I can run to see what servers has indeed created a new base in the past X days?

THX

That looks like he's going to give me what I need, more other useful information.  THX

    Hello

    I take a full backup of the DB using RMAN script. The script is as below:

    current backup controlfile as ' / home/oragrc/GRCbkup/rman_bkp/%T_cf_%U.bck';
    }

    This script is supposed to run on a daily basis via an OS script.

    The problem is on a daily basis after the backup that I have to delete the backups more than 2 days. For this I use an OS script that finds the backups more than 2 days to find the command and deletes it. This script also removes the archivelogs over 2 days.

    I just know that it is not advisable to delete RMAN backups and archived logs OS command when using RMAN.

  • Win 7: incrementing error backup and restore previous "Windows backup has not been implemented" and that "Windows cannot find a backup for this computer".

    * - Title original - Win 7: incrementing previous backup and restore

    Last week, I did a "backup and recovery" on my Win 7 64 bit computer, create a folder WindowsImageBackup 118 GB on an external HARD drive.

    I like incremental backup the same material on a base weekly, I tried to do the first incremental backup this morning.
    However, my "Backup and Restore" menu control configuration\systeme and securite\ tells me that "Windows backup was not put in place" and that "Windows cannot find a backup for this computer", even if the external HARD disk is attached and recognized.
    How can I set B R & to realize progressively the same backup that I did last week?  I don't want the schedule to run regularly, but will do it manually.
    Thank you

  • Backup files Vista - "Windows could not find any backup sets [file path]."

    I have a Vista computer.  The hard drive broke so until I replaced it I backed up all the files on the computer to another computer running Windows 7. I did it in the backup and Restore Center.  I made a backup of files, not a full backup of the system (I've seen the full backup of the system mentioned in other posts, but that was not an option... maybe which is only available on Vista Premium).  In any case, I replaced the hard drive and then try to restore the files, but I get the message "Windows could not find any backup sets [file path]."  Anyone have any ideas?  Thank you.

    Here is an article on the restore procedure:http://www.vista4beginners.com/How-to-restore-files to make sure you do this right.  It's a selective restore of a full or selective backup (not a full restore from a full backup) - but since you did a full backup, it matches your process more closely than would a full restore.

    Here is an article on the advanced use of restoration (during normal restore does not work):http://www.mayankraichura.com/post/2009/08/06/Avdvanced-Restore-via-Windows-Vista-Backup-and-Restore-Center.aspx.

    1. after the start of "backup and Restore Center."

    2. I chose "Advanced Restore"

    3. I was did not an administrator password... maybe because my account is an administrator account.

    4 choose "files from a backup made on a different computer.

    5. in the dialog box indicating "Select the location of the backup to restore", select "hard drive, CD or DVD...". »

    6. under the drop-down list box, select your drive/partition and continue

    7. If all the backups on your drive, it will show a list of them.

    8. in my case, he showed a backup, but in the backup location, it will show "backup location is not available."

    9. I was frustrated, but then I somehow just select this backup (Yes... even if he said that thebackup location is not available " ")

    10. and you press "next".

    11 guess what... no error!

    12. a window appeared asking me if I wanted to do a full restore, or I want to select specific folders or files.

    13. I selected the folders I wanted to restore and bingo... it their restored smoothly.

    14. so that the next time see a mistake, try to continue with him... ;)

    I don't know if this will help, but it does not provide much information about the process (when it works).  I hope you find any error or discrepancy in your procedure and it will clear up and allow you to restore.

    I hope this helps.

  • Windows was not able to find any backup sets

    My hard drive crashed yesterday. I knew it was coming and made a full backup of the system using Microsoft Backup and Restore last thing before it crashed. I backed up on my external hard drive. I replaced the failed hard drive and reinstalled Windows Vista Ultimate x 32. • Backup and restore cannot find any backup sets.

    I had to reinstall windows 7 prof 64 using the original recovery partition and want to restore my data files that I had backed up using the backup and restore windows.  The files are on a network drive.  "When I run the restore I have 'Browse' the network choose the folder labeled" backup files aaaa-mm-jj xxxxxx "but it comes back with the error message: Windows could not find the backup sets on \\xxxxx please select a different location.

    Early research indicated it could be a permissions problem and the network drive is not a Microsoft Windows type disk I copied the folder and all the files on my C: drive and checked that they were all showing all permissions to all the users/system/everyone etc.  I tried again.  Same result.  I tried now selection of locations right differnet down the folder hierarchy (for example: in 'Catalogue' records and individual records date) but still get the same message.

    I realize that I could go in the individual zip files and restore everything manually, but the backup set has 9 different files and 525 zip datr files each with a tree long through the files of the hard disk C: before getting to the part of My Documents with data.

    It would be so much easier than Microsofts back/restore program does what it is supposed to do.  The only references I found in the web site of Support MS concerned questions of authorisation and in ensuring that the original folder is in the format "Yyyy-mm-dd of backup files xxxxxx"  I've done both.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Original title: restoration of Windows can't find the backup sets

    I solved the problem. It seems that, for a new installation (reinstallation of the operating system), it is necessary to set up a backup to the location of the original backup. After saving the new facility in the same place as the old backups, older backups are available to be applied.

    (Note: VM VI-SVC-VM001 object has two LDEVs him assigned 0000ef and 0000de)

    There may be two, three, or n LDEVs attributed to each VM object. I guess I have to build a table and the "join-collections" script can't cut it on this one.

    I have the process to follow, I just need to put it in a loop (note, data already sorted on the virtual computer object):

    1 import-csv

    2. read each line, matched VM object, copy each found LDEV and place it in the next LDEV along

    3. remove the duplicate line

    4. rinse, repeat until the end

    Thank you.

    It's a solution pleasant Luc. I didn't use the Group-Object cmdlet to solve this problem.

    Now I can go to sleep without having to worry about this problem more.

  • script to find configuration of esxi host problems.

    Need a script to find if all configuration host on all issues the esxi host in the vCenter...

    example: alert, warning.

    Hello, nareshunik-

    You can consult the properties TriggeredAlarmState and ConfigIssue to display HostSystem for the VMHost objects, such as:

    Get-View -ViewType HostSystem -Property Name,TriggeredAlarmState,ConfigIssue | ?{$_.TriggeredAlarmState -or $_.ConfigIssue} | `    select name,         @{n="NumConfigIssues"; e={($_.ConfigIssue | Measure-Object).Count}},        @{n="NumAlarms"; e={($_.TriggeredAlarmState | Measure-Object).Count}}

    This will return just all hosts with a triggered alarm, a configuration problem or two (and the course of each):

    Name       NumConfigIssues  NumAlarms
    ----       ---------------  ---------
    myHost001                1          0
    myHost122                2          0

  • script to find the local TSM and TSM remote is activated on the esxi host

    Need to generate scripts to find on which esxi host in the vcenter is enabled for Local TSM and TSM remote...

    Hello, nareshunik-

    Thanks to the handy Get-VMHostService cmdlet, you can quite easily get this info:

    Get-VMHost | Get-VMHostService | ?{"TSM","TSM-SSH" -contains $_.Key -and $_.Running} | Select VMHost,Key,Running

    The result is something like:

    VMHost    Key      Running
    ------    ---      -------
    myHost01  TSM         True
    myHost02  TSM         True
    myHost05  TSM         True
    myHost05  TSM-SSH     True

    TSM is the local service of TSM or "ESXi Shell", and the TSM - SSH service is "SSH".  How does do for you?

  • need a script to find vmware tools does not not on virtual machines

    Hello, nareshunik-

    You can add an extra point to the filter to include only the virtual machines that are on, as:

    ## get names of powered-on VMs that either do not have Tools installed, or on which Tools are not currently runningGet-View -ViewType VirtualMachine -Property Name, Guest.ToolsStatus -Filter @{"Guest.ToolsStatus" = "toolsNotInstalled|toolsNotRunning"; "Runtime.PowerState" = "PoweredOn"} | Select Name, @{n="ToolsStatus"; e={$_.Guest.ToolsStatus}}

  • Script to find all the VMS with dates/no tools installed.

    Hey,.

    I need help guys.  I need a script that finds all VMS in vCenter which do not have the tools installed or tools or outdated.  I also need the script to generate the following data in a CSV file.  Name of the virtual machine and the State of the tools (not installed or outdated).

    Thank you guys.

    Good suggestion. 'Get-View - ViewType VirtualMachine' is much faster than ' Get - VM | Get-View»

    You inspired me to go at maximum speed. So I moved all the filtering also to the cmdlet Get-View. The following script is used in my environment about 30% faster than what you suggested. My first script took me 1 minute 50 seconds. Your script 1,624 seconds. And the following script 1,110 seconds in an environment with about 500 virtual machines...

    Get-View -ViewType VirtualMachine -Property Name,Guest.ToolsStatus -Filter @{
      "Config.Template"="False";"Guest.ToolsStatus"="toolsNotInstalled|toolsNotRunning|toolsOld"} | `
    Select-Object @{N="Name";E={$_.Name}},@{Name="ToolsStatus";E={$_.Guest.ToolsStatus}} | `
    Export-CSV -Path VmToolsStatus.csv -NoTypeInformation -UseCulture

    "Config.Template"="False" filter models so that you get only the virtual machines.

    "Guest.ToolsStatus"="toolsNotInstalled | toolsNotRunning | toolsOld" returns invited with ToolsStatus toolsNotInstalled or toolsNotRunning or toolsOld.

    Thanks to Eric Wannemacher to show me how to use regular expressions in a Get - view filter in his blogpost: VMware PowerCLI and Get-View filters.
