sdcli on linux launches full developer SQL instead

SQL Developer version: 4.1.1.19

Java version: 1.8.0_51

Version of Linux. RedHat 7.1

Any idea?

Thank you.

Fixed.

I added the $PATH with the sdcli path (ex: / tools/sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper/bin) and command line interface is properly launched.

  • Developer SQL 3.2.20 always invites to indicate the path full java.exe

I installed SQL Developer 3.2.9 to 3.2.20 on my Windows 7 64-bit system. I've updated just like I did earlier. It is "installed" in C:\Program Files (x 86) \sqldeveloper and down there, I have a folder for each version that I installed. sqldeveloper_3.1.07.24, sqldeveloper_3.2.09.30 and now sqldeveloper_3.2.20.09.87.

Now the 3.2.20 new version asks me to enter the path to java.exe whenever I start it. I think that the previous version did this, but only once. This new version does not seem to remember when I choose the path to the java.exe that I use.

Any thoughts on how I can do Developer SQL do not forget where my java.exe?

Open the sqldeveloper/bin directory who settle.

Edit the sqldeveloper.conf file and specify the path.

    Save the file.

Behavior indicates that the SQL Developer is not able to write to this file...

  • Why an asynchronous call would lead to "the VI is not executable. The full development version... »

I built a labview moderately complex program to connect with a new parser that I build.  To briefly describe the application, the main VI is a user interface which, in an initialization step, asynchronously calls a dozen other screws each called VI is a state machine that handles communication with a component specific for my parser, whether heat controllers, regulators debit, NI DAQmx channels, a SQL database, etc..  I use the VFG and/or EI to communicate information between the main VI and each component. The system works well when it passes through NI Labview 2012 SP1 (full development Version).  I build the project successfully, but when I run the construction (on the same development machine), I encounter the "the VI is not executable.  The full development of LabVIEW version is needed to correct errors"message.

My first troubleshooting step that was supposed to isolate the problem.  I removed all the asynchronous calls, rebuilt and the program works without errors (granted, no State machines that handle I/O bundles are running). This gave me the impression that my UI screws are not the problem.

The next step that I took was to create a test project with a simplified user interface to call asynchronously, and control a single component.  The first part, I tried to control a heating unit, and it works perfectly.  I have build it and run without errors or problems.

Thinking that the component should not be a problem, I add the async call for this component in my main VI, to test it.  This works well in the built environment of Labview development, without errors, but alas, I get the same message as the "VI is not executable' when I try to run the build.

I am at a loss on how to make trouble, or it could be the cause of the problem.  Why an asynchronous call to the VI even break the construction of an executable project, but don't cause problems in an executable of side projects?

  • Developer SQL 4.1.2.20 Build HAND-20, 64: cannot drag-and - drop in editor files include "#" in the name or the path

Developer SQL 4.1.2.20 Build HAND-20, 64: I am not able to drag-and - drop a file from Windows Explorer into the SQL Developer Editor window if the name of the file or the path includes sharp «#» Unfortunately, my main directory structure contains a ' # ' in one parent folder names and I use drag-and - drop all the time... it is, I used to. :-)

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit with Service Pack 1

It wasn't a problem in the previous version of SQL Developer 4.1.1.19 build HAND - 19.59.

Thanks to study deeply and providing a repeatable test. It is a very strange edge cases.  Particularly interesting is...

This same issue exists for JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 12.2.1.0.0

After my tests in SQL Developer 4.1.2 the question seems to be, that say you, trying to open any file (I tried sql, xml, and pkb types) by drag-and - drop from Explorer Windows to a publisher of target opened on a XML file with a symbol of hash somewhere in the specification of the file it is.

First of all, as a solution, I thought that I could recommend that you drag-and - drop since our view > files browser rather than Windows Explorer.  Which avoids the question and even you will descend on the Start Page tab, any worksheet or another editor must be opened before hand. However, there is a completely different problem with that: try to close the last tab of the XML Editor open blocking the entirety of the product.

As you do not declare it against a release of the Early Adopter, where our team connect the bug, the standard procedure is so that you can open a service request with the support of the Oracle. My research did not turn any latest bug as this connected against SQL Developer or JDeveloper.

Edit: In fact, just double click instead of using drag-and - drop from view > files avoids questions, name incorrect both hang at the end.

I tried to rename the APPDATA folder, so it will create a new and not import my settings (only copied connections.xml), but that did not help. Version 3.2 works fine, but all 4.x versions, that I tried to do the same thing.

Developer SQL 4.0.3 freezes often irreparably

Try the production version 4.1 when it comes out.  Article 4.1 of the last is ai2 (Early adopter 2), but some corrections of editor-in-Chief of the JDeveloper team don't have become available until after this release.  We get close to having a RC1 (release candidate 1) and hope that the type of blocking you encounter will be finally fixed. Another recommendation is to disable see breadcrumbs in Tools > Preferences > code editor > display.  Who can help in some cases.

  • Developer SQL v 3.0.04 fails to export large Excel files

I can export queries from less than 500 lines without any problems. Nothing more than it is a problem. Most of the time, the export hangs or does not complete. The target file has 0 KB in these cases. Any ideas on how to address this limitation will be appreciated.

Export to a csv file format instead, or upgrade to the latest version (or at least 3.2.2).  With 3.2.2 and above, for the file format xlsx, Developer SQL uses an API that does not keep everything in memory.

    Thank you!

Try it with sid ORCL instead of XE.

If this does not help, then choose SERVICE_NAME orcl instead of SID in sql developer.

Your listener seems to have an entry for this.

You can also test it in SQl * more. But what you've done so far in SQl * plus was a "server connection", without providing the database.

Because in your case, the client and the server is on the same machine, it works with sql * more.

If you try a customer coonnect by specifying the database, then you would do the same thing as the Oracle SQL Developer is by train.

    For test purposes, something like

    sqlplus user/pwd@host:port/ORCL

also in the Sqlnet.ora file must be an etry for local EZCONNECT connect method. I don't know if it is set during the installation of network by default.

You can try if there is an Alias-TNS name (configured in the tnsnames.ora)

    sqlplus user/pwd@ORCL

If it works with sql * plus, so you must always indicate the sql developer where the tnsnames.ora file is located on your computer.

The setting can be found in the menu: extras/tools/base data/improved

The tnsnames.ora file is usually in a file like this:

    C:\Oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1\network\admin

  • Developer SQL 4.0 ai2 - cannot use OpenLDAP with LDAP connect option

    Hello

I have OpenLDAP installation to work with my Oracle customers to use the TNS connection, instead of having scattered files tnsnames.ora strings about hundreds of servers.

It works very well with 10g / 11g, customers complete and instantaneous, no problem.

Now, I am trying configure SQL Developer 4.0 ai2 working with her, as well.

When I try to do, I am able to select the 'LDAP' option in 'Connection Type', and the drop-down list "LDAP server" is correctly filled with my LDAP server of ldap.ora.

However, when I select it, I get the following error:

Status: Failed-[LDAP: error 32 - No Such Object code]

Now, I did some research and I followed the slapd.log file, which shows me the following:

    Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = ACCEPT 1034 fd = 16 = 192.168.125.1:63781 (IP = 0.0.0.0:389) IP address

    Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = 1034 op = 0 BIND dn = "" method = 128 "

    Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = 1034 op = 0 RESULT tag = 97 err = 0 text =

    "Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = 1034 op = base SRCH = 1" "scope = 2 deref = 0"(objectClass=orclContext) = filter. "

    Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = 1034 op = 1 tag = 101 err = 32 nentries SEARCH RESULTS = 0 text =

    Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = 1034 op = 2 UNBIND

    Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = 1034 fd = 16 closed

That is a lot more detail, but reflects the corresponding error code (32 - No Such Object).

After doing some tests with ldapsearch, I was able to reproduce this only developer SQL is done and get the same exact error.

    The ldapsearch command is:

    ldapsearch einstein Pei 389 - c - x d h "" b "" "(objectClass=orclContext)" "

Research in the slapd.log file, I find a mistake similar to what is produced from SQL Developer.

In addition, the query SQL Developer wants can be done successfully with the following ldapsearch:

    ldapsearch h einstein Pei 389 - c - x d ' "b"dc = proquest, dc = com""(objectClass=orclContext) ""

Thus, it seems that the problem is the fact that the SQL Developer does not provide a research base.

I'm not expert LDAP, and I really don't know where to turn next.

Is there a SQL Developer option that allows me to put this basic research?  Is there a setting I'm missing on the LDAP server configuration?

    Thank you

    -Mark

Well, that didn't take long.  I managed to find a solution to the problem.

It boils down to the fact that the SQL Developer does not provide a research base, and my LDAP server had a defined default search base.

When I edited slapd.conf (OpenLDAP configuration file) and add a parameter "defaultsearchbase" and bounced the LDAP, everything started working.

I now have a working with OpenLDAP and Developer SQL configuration.

I'll mark this discussion as closed.

    -Mark

Someone at - there experience this problem? is there a setting that makes Developer SQL behave differently?

    There is a bug.

The solution is to make sure that the name of the object in CREATE or REPLACE is uppercase

So in your example make DO_STUFF

    Run as a Script

Then check the compiler Log/Logging Panel, you will see your mistakes.

It has been marked to be fixed in our next release.

  • Launch by development OI program

Is it possible to programmatically launch the development of a standard IO (as if I double click the icon of TestStand)?  I could of course do this with a system running call, but I'm curious to know if it is feasible for a real TS API call.

It is not an API call for it.  Your best bet is to call from the command line as you suggest.

    Kind regards

  • The version of LabVIEW full development is necessary to correct the errors

I gradually developed a large application of GOOP, he has been developing since 2012.  We have never had problems with the executable files before, but now when we're creating a generation, when you run the executable file, the arrow of execution is broken and you get the message "the LabVIEW full development version is necessary to correct the errors.  The search of the forums there are many people who have experienced the same error message but many different solutions.

The same phenomenon occurs on any PC, I can create the version on another PC, same result.

I can go back through SVN revsions until I found the latest copy of the project that will actually build, but then I needed to repeat all the coding done since.  Is that what I can do to track down the problem?  I suspect, it could be related to types incompatible cluster or a bad link to a sub VI, but the demand is so great, that it is impossible to look through all the code.

I don't understand what is happening. LabVIEW 8.5 full development, I have installed on my computer, but I have seen that this version of LabVIEW does not support the creation of the executable file.

So I uninstalled this version to install the LabVIEW 8.5.1 on a DVD named OR LICENSE SITE ACADEMIC (spring 2008) and that the documentation provided sti ^ pule is indeed the version professional development system.

Once you have installed this version, it offers me a number of activation on my existing computer to activate LabVIEW.

I run LabVIEW and then I realize that the version I have installed is different from the development of the full system.

Is there something I forgot when installing?

    Sincerely,

Full development edition does not include the Application Builder. It is explained in the LabVIEW product information. You can buy the Application Builder separately, or use the professional edition.

You said that you have the professional edition on the DVD you have, if you have installed that. But you said that the version you have installed is 'different' in full. What do you mean by 'different '? Have you checked the LabVIEW development environment and the Application Builder have been activated? You can check by looking in the License Manager, OR (which is installed with the software).

then download the zip file and then extract the contents

    Both are contained in it.

Then add them to the schema of your choice.
