Search for the file size, Date & content

It was SO easy to do the above in Windows XP and Vista. Someone please explain step by step in detail how everything above at the same time? For example, to find my entire PC (indexed and unindexed files) to a file greater than 1 MB, created or modified after March 10, 2010 and with the word 'blackie' in the content of the file, not the name.

OUgrad,

You can use these search filters in the local disk C to search all the C drive:

modified:03/10/10

for size, you can type Dimensions: then click on wide for files larger than 1 MB or size: > = 1 MB.

Content in a document is automatically searched, but if you want to specify, you can type content:

You can put all of these together filters to customize your search. You will know if it is correct to filtering because it will turn blue.

    Hi Jack,

This driver belongs to AsIO.sys Asus Probe. Try to uninstall Asus Probe and if you need, install again. If this does not help, uninstall Asus Probe and other tools of control such as Speedfan. Open the registry (regedit.exe) editor and search for AsIO.sys and remove all the entries that you can find.

  • Search for the text value data store

Hello, I have a PDO of data to store, and I would like to search for a text value in a quantity of measure.  In each of my test series, there is a quantity of measure with the name TCNAME and stores the cell name of test in the string format.  I would like to get all the TCNAMEs that contain "TC4" for example.  Currently, I have to load TCNAME in the portal and display it in an array of string.

Any ideas how I can do this?

I assume you are using a PUMA testbed that stores this kind of goods on a unique value chain chains.

There is no direct search method, so I guess that a script is the only solution we can offer.

Datafinder you can search for the minimum and maximum of a channel. That would be too much work in the store of ASAM.

    "PDO / cpp"
protected tcnameMQs: set tcnameMQs = store. GetElementList ("MeasurementQuantity", "name = TCNAME", true)
protected tcnameMQ: for each tcnameMQ in tcnameMQs
MsgBox tcnameMq.References ("local_columns"). Elements (1). Properties ("values"). Value
    Next

    ' AOP5 / Corba
protected tcnameLCs: set tcnameLCs = store. GetElementList ("LocalColumn", "measurement_quantity.name = TCNAME", true)
protected tcnameLC: for each tcnameLC in tcnameLCs
    MsgBox tcnameLC.Properties ("values"). Value
    Next

I have added the example which should be the shortest path from my point of view. In AOP5, you can search LocalColumn and spend BA which is less overhead.

It is perhaps a good idea to post-processing of the data base and crush the decription "Test name" by

"The test cell name == NAME. You can search not post-processed by Searchin' for.

protected tcnameMQs: set tcnameMQs = store. GetElementList ("MeasurementQuantity", "description = name of the test cell", true)
protected tcnameMQ: for each tcnameMQ in tcnameMQs
tcnameMQ.Properties ("description"). Value = "name of the test cell is" & tcnameMq.References ("local_columns"). Elements (1). Properties ("values"). Value
    Next
    Store.Save

Thereafter, you would be able to search for it.

    Greetings

  • Search for the file titles-do, anyone else back?

Recently, I was forced to spend 10.6 to 10.11.5 by the death of my Mac mini and buy a new one. Suddenly, I find that I can get just about all of the content of the files. The search option on the right securities disappeared. I have thousands of files that are PDF files or links to research papers. Before I could remember a title keyword and get a few files with a search, which one would be what I wanted. Now, I have search on a keyword and get hundreds or thousands of files, most of which have nothing to do with what I want. A search that returns a large fraction of the files on the hard disk is essentially useless. Why Apple think removal of features is progress? My experience over the years is that the main objective of the new versions of the OS is to screw until they had right before.

  • Search for the file Explorer: Windows 7

I know that I am probably post again a question has been asked hundreds of times before... But the research question of Windows 7 even been taken down like a real fault? There is no other way I can see to ask this question outside not be re-directed to a forum looking for answers, then see frustration of countless other users, so I put back on with a new post.

I wrote a test and training post to possibly one of the largest universities in the United Kingdom and my role of testing software noting flaws and then decide whether it should be rolled out and then reap the benefits of its use.

All other packages had small defects but none of which has a few advantages outweigh

I literally user acceptance tested search to death and read dozens of user help guides on indexing. The more generic computer users is the admin rights/time/support or the know how to do that on a large number of readers huge network.

In short, I guess the question I ask is when users want to find a file by name, why they are not getting the results they are looking for and if it is a question of indexation why?

Help me to Microsoft, you're my only hope.

Search has changed over the years. Modern versions of Windows have so many files that the default search will filter all files it think users don't want to see. It works fine most of the time, but if a user starts using non-standard file types can cause an immense amount of frustration.

  • Search for the file in comments

Unless I'm doing something wrong here, it looks like to the integrated the 'Check file in prompt' WF, only checks the local disks of the guest. Does anyone have the code or a Scriptable task that can check a file on a remote Windows Server (by UNC or after I mapped the drive) thanks Dudes!

OK, had this work by adding a second variable on the local disk. For example

    V:\\MYfile

    D:\\Myfile

and the call to the D:\\ variable when you run the file "check in prompt" works very well!

  • Which folder search to search for the file .exe for Camera Raw in 12 items?

I expect with live Camera Bits Photo Mechanic to lead the Olympus ORF files will automatically open in items 12 Camera Raw. to do this, I need to direct Photo Mechanic to the raw camera .exe file in the elements. Where can I find the folder that contains this plugin? It is not in any folder labeled 'plugin '.

So here's what happened and how it was resolved. Elements was initially do not recognize the file type when you try to make the transfer of Photo Mechanic, while the camera raw feature to open the file if I do drag and drop an individual elements file directly, bypassing the Photo Mechanic. So I thought once I found the executable file in the elements camera raw, all I had to do was link in the preferences of Photo Mechanic. That's when I posted this query. Somewhere along the way, once I had observed that the raw function of the device elements would open the file directly, I discovered by accident that at the close of the elements, Photo Mechanic could pass successfully the Olympus ORF file and once the elements has reopened, could directly receive the image of Photo Mechanic. While not particularly a problem for a satisfactory resolution of problems-wise, I'm happy. So thank you for your kind attention.

  • The search for PDF files

In Windows XP, when I go to 'Start' in the 'search' and specify a word in the name of the file and then highlight that it is a PDF file I'm looking for, it is unable to locate the file. I know that the file is there. Why is this happening?

WHERE you 'to highlight that it is a PDF file?  I don't see this option in the SEARCH on my XP SP3 System.

Assuming you start from START - SEARCH - for the FILES or FOLDERS - all THE FILES AND FOLDERS, you must then fill the box 'All or part of the name of the file', and then may set at glance if you want to restrict the search and finally click FIND.

If you do not have a lot of pdf files on your system, you might consider simply using PDF as the 'part of the name of the file' and let Windows find all your pdf files.

  • A video of the file change date

This question relates specifically to a video that is downloading.

What happens in the video for the file modified date to change?

I have about 10 videos and they all have one updated the date after the date of creation.  I need to understand all the reasons why this has happened.  I know that this time stamp changes with for example a word document that you add more data, but that's why I would like to know for the video specifically.

  • Search for all files? Search by creation date?

How can I search within all files?  I know that the files are there and contain the words I'm looking for, but Windows cannot find them.  Some files do not have extensions, some have a .bak extension and some have various other extensions.

Also, I see an option to search by modification date, but not created.  How can I search for all files on my hard drive, created on a particular date (including the .dll, .exe, etc..).  I'm trying to find all the files that were installed with an application.  The files have different change dates, but all have the same creation date (when the application has been installed).

I do not understand how that returns results for all files (including non indexed files).  Can you please explain?

The search interface has been simplified at the request of the overwhelming majority of users. Until a more sophisticated user, you liked the very high amount of control WHAT XP gave it. The new interface 7 has fewer orders. When the research opens, you will see an "additional search... "Computer" and other. Since you are obviously in control of syntax, the interface for non indexed opening files is quite simple. There is always the option to expand the index to include everything. (Control panel/Indexing Options)

If your index still don't "look in" a file, you can try to assign an 'association' for the file type. I have no idea what the .xyz file type might have as a native association, but you can associate this notebook. (right-click, open with, choose default program..., see the box always 'use..')

  • Write delay failed unable to save all the data for the file $Mft

Have a frustrating problem.  Help is greatly appreciated.  Learned the hard way and lost a dwg important issue which was unrecoverable.  Bought a new drive external hard seagate.  Could not back up the entire system with software pre-installed.  Download acronis true image home 2011.  Tried to backup system.  Receive error when trying to backup messages; 'Delay to failure of Scripture; Reading of the sector; Windows was unable to save all the data for the file $Mft. I don't know where Microsoft 'Technical support engineers' get their information.

Write caching without a doubt "does apply to external hard drives", but it is usually disabled to prevent to sort the problem you are experiencing.

I've seen several positions reporting to the same question that you do.  All of these positions were with SATA drives.  Is your Seagate eSATA drive?

The disc is recognized as an external drive in Device Manager?  In Device Manager, go to the drive properties dialog box and click the policies tab.  An external drive should have two options: "Optimize for quick removal" and "Optimize for performance".  An internal hard drive shows the options as gray (with 'performance' selected), but there should also be a checkbox "Enable disk write cache" under the second option.

What shows in your policies tab?

If I understand correctly, "writeback" or "write behind" is implemented by disc material or its pilot.  If the option is not available on the drive properties > policies tab, I would suggest to contact Seagate support.
