• PHP search form

  It drives me crazy.  My search forms work perfectly on my local test environment (wamp) but when I upload it to the remote server, they fail to reveal the results of DB.

  I checked the DB connection works.  All other pages are filling out very well from the database.  Still a query of the form translates into "no database selected."  Huh?  If it works locally and not on remote, what should I watch?

• Search form

  Hello

  I want to develop a search form that can filter 4 different fields. Let me explain:

  The search engine consists of 4 drop-down menus. The drop-down lists are a group (a group is 4 categories, Province, city, type and price of accommodation range). I want the user to select its criteria in 4 menus on the same page (say he chose the Province: Gauteng, City: Pretoria, type of accommodation: Hotel, price range: R501-R1000), then when they click search, the results page should show the results according to its criteria, IE hotels only in the Gauteng Province, the city of Pretoria and in a price range of R501-R1000.

  A form master / detail of Apex default 5.0 creates buttons back and forward on the main table. When you move between records, the detail region launches a message: update 0 row (s), 0 or the inserted rows.

  Glance in occasional of the user, it will look like a mistake: I, what has changed and why it has not been saved?

  If nothing has changed, why is a MRU statement update being generated?

  How do I remove this behavior? Is this a bug?

  Hello. Here's my problem. I created a form master detail but I Heve the following during operation error message.

  When I press the button Add a LINE an additional record becomes editable and insert data I need. Then, when I select the button APPLY the CHANGES, error

  I created the form using the wizard, but specifying the use of ROWID in the beginning, I changed the configurations in order to use a primary key with an existing sequence.

  I tried to delete also the region and create using the wizard and selecting the modality of primary key, but the result is the same. It seems that the value of the sequence is not assigned to IF field.

  I guess I don't need to define something more. What can be the cause of this behavior? (Removal and update properly).

  I join with the configuration of the key field and the screenshot of the error and the page layout.

  Hi DanieleT,

  I think you should also consult the validation section.

  There is a chance of validation not null for IDs model of effort, if it is available and then delete.

  or create a sample on apex.oracle.com, which will be easier for users to solve your problem.

  By chance, I came up with this workaround. Of course there are other methods to get your data from a web - app, but if you want to use the 'Web apps search form', it would be a workaround.

  I noticed that the "Web apps entry form" contains all the fields of web applications for your web application (including the fields of the data source).

  It is possible to add the fields to the form of the "Web apps entry form" in the «Web apps search form»

  If you insert the "Web apps entry form" on a blank page, you will see all the fields in your web App including the "data source fields. The names of form fields contain something like.

  If you copy the form field desired (containing the "CAT_Custom_number"), you can paste it on the page in the form where the "web app search form" is inserted.

  and check how to maintain the relationship between two tables,

  simple return the packaged application «Sample of Masters details»

  and try to understand this concept...

  In your example, use Hotel_list.ID as a foreign key in the table Hotel_mapping

  and maintain the relationship with the column ID...

  and choose the display type of the column Hotel_list.ID in table Hotel_mapping as List(Query Based LOV) select.

  Indeed, the param query approach might not be the best approach for your type of installation, and if all the webapp search forms use the same page to see the results then just put in the page ID in the search form and pass the custom as Adam recommended setting:

• Multi-selects search form break when the screen is Exact = true

  I came across a problem where selecting 'Vascular' in a drop-down list in my webapp search form also returned results 'Non-vasculaire '.

  After some research, I found adding "& Exact = true" at the end of the form action has solved this problem.

  I have then proceeded to re - test the selection of several elements of the multiple selection and submit the form. I got exactly zero results. I chose the two elements of the multiple selection separately and returned the results twice. I took the & Exact = true back out and retested select multiple items and received my results once more.

  Does anyone know how build the search engine so that I can prevent the search within words and allow also my multiple selection dropdowns to work properly?

  Also, I think that this behavior that I'm experiencing is a bug. Could an Adobe employee submit a bug report if yes please?

  I have a master/detail form, the detail record has a timestamp field that I people using systimestamp via the default, it is a single field of view and everthing records very well. But if I change the format of the timestamp field via the DD-MON-YY HH24 attrubutes column, I get the following error on save
  
  Internal error in the routine mru: ORA-20001: error in MRU: line = 1, ORA-20001: find the invalid timestamp value, please check the timestamp format.

  Looks like your display only column is based on the database column.
  If this is the case, you have little control for it in ApplyMRU.
  What you need to do is
  a. keep the TimeStamp column hidden with any mask format
  b. Add the form as a table with the format mask you want to display a column of data not

  In a Word, the DB column is in the proper format as required by the ApplyMRU but you display for users of the truncated version of that.
