Search ICC profile

I use Lightroom 3.2 and I am wanting to use the color profile of the presentation text.  I downloaded this profile and so far have put it in the following locations as shown in various websites.

Users/user/library/colorsync/profiles

HD/library/colorsync

HD/library/colorsync/profiles

HD/library/colorsync/profiles/recommended

I can see the Photoshop proofing profile and load it easily.  But I do not see it in Lightroom (I expect to see it as an export, settings files, other and then load it.  I can see many other profiles for my printer etc. but can't see the Blurb profile.

Secondly, if I export this profile, once I can add it, no doubt I see not how the image is looking under this profile until I have watch the exported file and then don't know how to do to process the image to get what I want, once it is printed.  Maybe I am misunderstanding something basic.

Matthew

Blurb uses material printing HP Indigo CMYK, so that provided icc profile is CMYK which can only serve to LR as it supports RBG only.

If you want to softprove your images with the Blurb's icc profile you must return to the PS

On the color with Blurb profiles:

Blurb is not technically honoring color/ICC profiles, but there are ways to manage the color while still anticipating differences in light shade from book to book. For images imported into BookSmart, we recommend attaching a color profile to your images. Blurb recommend simply using the color space sRGB for all your images in BookSmart.

  • Required ICC profiles

Hi, I give up. I want to follow this procedure as found on the site of HP:
HP printers - using ICC profiles for the Photos in color in Adobe Photoshop. However, after two days of searching, I was unable to locate the profiles ICC from HP for my printer, type of paper and ink, all HP products. They do not currently appear in the drop-down list of profiles of step 3 in the article above. Some old deskjet models are all that are there. I'm looking for ICC profiles for:

  • How can I add an ICC profile to El Capitan?

Sometimes, one wonders just what think Apple...

In OSX 10.11 El Capitan, the location of the profile used for twenty years is not accessible to the user. Therefore, it is possible to try to stick a profile in the standard location! It of really insane and makes absolutely no sense!

Is there another way to install ICC profiles in El Capitan? An internet search got me nowhere.

    I have the same problem...

    any solution?

  • ICC profile is no longer installed

All-in-One printer C6180, HP computer HP Desktop Pavilion P6000 Series, model P6710f, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit 6.1 (Build 7601) Service Pack.

Error (CCI profile is no longer installed)

I received error messages related to the HP Solutions software.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software downloaded from HP.  I didn't see no problem after installation, until I went to print an image in Adobe Elements 9, when I received an error: could not print because the ICC profile is no longer installed.  I first thought that the problem may have been related to the Adobe program so I uninstalled and reinstalled only to get the same error message.  Reading the information from Adobe on this problem, suggested the problem may be in the printer software.  I went to HP print and Scan doctor, is through the uninstallation and reinstallation of the AIO software and Solution Center software.  Checking the installation with doctor Scan once again, he said that a later version of the software is available, and whenever I try to download the latest version, apparently he won't take that after whenever I do that, I get the same page telling me that there is a newer version available.   When I skip this step and go to the test printer, everything also checks good.  I also went to a backup of my dll software, for the previous month, nothing helps.

I am for a quandry here about the absent ICC profile and hope that someone else has had this problem and a solution.  I've not found anything when I did a search on this forum.

    Hello @JoeSea,

I understand that you encounter the error "could not print because the ICC profile is no longer installed. As this is an error with Adobe I would advise you to ask for help on the General Adobe Photoshop Discussion Forum that you would have a better chance to find a solution.

I hope this helps. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Pro 100 ICC profiles - where are the default values?

Hi there - I can't believe I'm asking this, but just had to replace an old mac & just cannot figure out how to get the default ICC profiles for the PRO-100? Downloaded the CUPS driver and all other garbage on the site Web of canon and zilch in profiles. Nothing for Canon papers. All 3rd party are thin and easy to handle, but where do you download Canon Communications?

The internet search just says they should have installed automagically...

    Thank you

If you install the driver on the Canon Web site, you will get the Canon profiles installed.

When you added the printer through the System Preferences window have you added the printer version IJ or Hello?

You want the version IJ. When you click on the + to add a printer, it might take a little time - usually the Hello version appears first.

  • Windows 7 do not apply ICC profile in Windows Photo Viewer

I calibrated my screen and I am convinced that my ICC profile is correct.

I have applied to the title of the color management in Windows 7 64-bit as well as my default profile.

When I'm viewing the photos in Adobe Photoshop or lightroom, the color profile is used.

b: then right-click on the ICC (International Color Consortium) profiles, then copy it and save it.
c: then type color management in the search box start and press ENTER.
d: now click the Profiles tab.
e: now click on ICC profiles and then click on remove.
f: now go ahead and right-click on the profile that you had previously copied and then click on install the profile.

    Hope this information helps.

  • Question about ICC profiles

I try to use some new Canson paper.  I downloaded and installed the ICC profile, and the next step says to go to 'File' then 'export', 'GIF', 'Print plug-in.  However the "PII" option does not appear.  Any ideas?

Profile are to be installed in your operating system.  I search the Web for your plugin gif.   It turns out that sound of Cannon for Photoshop.  It's a third party plugin you need to install the plug-in in the version of Photoshop help. If you want to use in Photoshop. If you have not installed it in Photoshop it will not appear in the file menu > export > iPF printer...

I don't know if you can use it to print on your printer... You may be able to print using the print in Photoshop dialog box.  The plug-in should have come with you, printer and would need to be installed by you in Photoshop.  As several tutorials on using Photoshop on YouTube for example.

  • Download Adobe RGB (1998) ICC profile for Linux

Hi, I am trying to download Adobe RGB (1998) ICC profile for profile ICC downloads - Linux or Unix Linux (end-user profile), but nothing happens after that I accept the terms and conditions. Anyone knows where can I go? Thank you.

Which linux distribution do you use?

    You need to download the

    FTP://FTP.Adobe.com/pub/Adobe/ICCProfiles/Linux/AdobeColorProfiles-end-user.rpm.tar.gz

then right-click and open in Archive Manager where you can extract the files.

If you can not even open them trying this one for windows

In addition, you may be able to use some Manager package provided with your distribution, search for icc profiles and there may be some that you can install.

  • Acrobat 9 Pro... Distiller / ICC profile problem

I have loaded Acrobat 9 Pro 3 times and continue to get following error message every time I reboot computer: "Distiller cannot find your ICC profiles.  Please reinstall the software. "Acrobat opens ok but not print or perfom will perform redirection of email as an attachment. Distiller is won't boot.

Someone at - it a solution?

Adobe technical support has been more helpful on that.  Start by downloading the update

    Distiller ICC profile files to:

    3790 http://www.Adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4075&FILEID=

Unzip the file and copy only the files *.icc (without taking into account the subfolders they are-in other words, take the files out of each of the subfolders) in the folder in Windows 7:

    c:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\color

These new files will cover probably some old ones.

This solves the problem for me.

    ---------------------------------------------------------

It is actually the best solution I found that instead of copy all files for the windows\sys... .icc folder, all you have to do is copy the 3 files of the folder (VideoHD.icc, VideoNTSC.icc and VideoPAL.icc) RGB video.  Once you add these three files to c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\color, you will be ready to go.

It seems that it was a mistake on the part of Adobe, there is no reason to include video files for printing.  Nevertheless, the Distiller will search these and return the error of ICC profile, if these files are not present.

  • Tecra A4: I need the LCD display ICC profile color

    Hello

I have a Tecra A4-SP619 and I need the color of ICC profile for the LCD.

Please, could you help get it?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I put t know why you need this profile, but to my knowledge you n t need this option to use the laptop properly.
The Windows operating system and the graphics driver choose the right color management. You n t need to install anything.
But still, in my opinion this information you will find in the manual of the user of this laptop.

  • PIXMA Pro-100, ICC profiles, etc.

I will try to make a long story short.  About 5 months ago, I bought a camera Canon T3i.  Is not only the prints that I got at department stores, bought a PIxma Pro-100.  Little did the research, visited account I need to calibrate my monitor, purchased a Datacolor Spyder Pro 4.

My questions concern the software used to get prints.  I do not have PhotoShop, and I don't want to buy it.  I have PaintShop Pro, but realize that I can't use it.  My computer is Win7.  I do not know cameras, but I've been in it for 30 years.  I know that computers.

I'm not happy with the impressions I'm away until now.  The colors all are low (for lack of a better word).  Everything I've read about the Pro100 said colors should be rich (saturated).  Mine are not.

First, I tried the software that came with my camera.  Digital Photo Professional.  It works with the plugin from Canon, Print Studio Pro.  It seems that he has acknowledged, or charges, ICC profiles for Canon paper I use.  It does not recognize or give me the option to select an ICC profile for my monitor.

I called Canon support.  The guy I spoke to Easy-PhotoPrint EX software recommended.  Said that he should have come on the CD with my Pixma.  He did not.  This software does not use the plugin from Canon.  And appears to be more limited.  He said that it works well with Canon cameras.  Honestly, it looked like it was BS'ing me all the time.  If you don't know the answer, it's ok to put it simply, it's my feeling.

OK, it turns out be a long story.  Can someone help me?  This printer I have does not measure upward for what I've read about it.  I spent a lot of money to get good prints from my Canon camera.  I don't have this, not even close.  What should I do?

In DPP, go to tools-> Preferences-> color management and you can select a monitor profile.

  • When printer ICC profiles are stored on a Mac?

I have Pro - 100. When the ICC profiles are stored on a Mac? I looked in library/Colorsync and couldn't find them. Thank you

You ask where to put third party profiles or you ask where are stored the profiles provided by Canon?

I do not know where gun stores, but I have no reason to access. They are likely stored as well as the driver files because they are not intended to be referenced as a third party profiles.

  • Best ICC profile/setting for ThinkPad T430

    Hi all

Recommendations for profile can ICC I use with my ThinkPad? While I managed to get rid of the blue color cast at a point using color corrections to the display driver and update the driver to monitor itself, I wonder if anyone can suggest some ICC profiles? I have a basic HD (1366 x 786) display. I am sometimes in photo and video editing, and even though I know that this view is not perfect for these tasks, I would get maximum out of it.

    Bravo and thanks,

    Srdjan

I just changed the display Nvidia settings until I got the desired result. Now it seems decent, much better than the factory setting.

  • U2413 - factory Color Calibration and ICC profiles

Hi, I just bought a U2413. I need for photography. There is nothing on profiles ICC U2413 DELL that was installed with the software in the documentation. And please note that I have not (yet!) a calibrator. I need to configure the best without calibrator... using the factory calibration.

I hope you can make it clear, to me, how it works.

The monitor has different MODES BUILT-IN, such as:
    -Color space sRGB
    -Color space ARGB
    -Standard
    -Game, etc.

Which mode is the one that has been calibrated at the factory?
What mode should I use in order to have the results of color?
I see that there is no DELL U2413 color profile, D6500, which is associated with the monitor (I can see it in the control panel). I think it is good to have this setting. Can you please confirm?

Do I set up the U2313 DELL ICC profile also to programs like Canon Digital Photo Professional, or as long as it is in Windows, it is not necessary? [Item 3 of this screenshot]. I see that if I put profile DELL in Canon DPP the colors of the photos appear much colder.

    Thank you

If you do not have access to an i1DisplayPro/Color munki display a yo do not have the possibility to calibrate (not even in GPU with the munki:)

    factory calibrated
-sRGB: 50 50 brightness contrast. You can use standard sRGB.icm, once lower you it up to 120cd/m (20-25% brightness) you will lose the white point calibration.

-AdobeRGB: contrast 50 50 brightness. You can use standard AdobeRGB1998.icm (complatible or ones like Clay1998.icm), once lower you it up to 120cd/m (20-25% brightness) you will lose the white point calibration but less than sRGB. For color management programs and without perhaps a colorimeter its your safest choice, do not forget to assign and activate an Adobe1998.icm/Clay1998.icm in Control Panel of Windows to your monitor while you're in this preset OSDdevice.

The other preset OSD are not calibrated at the factory.

-standard is delivered with the native range (as described in U2413.icm of pilots) and native white (whie 6700-7000K with a strong green tint)

-Custom is delivered with the native range (as described in U2413.icm of pilots) and native white (whie 6700-7000K with a strong green tint), but you have access to the parameters of "custom colors". 20-25% brightness, contrast 50%, and R = 100, G = 91 = 97 peut give you near D65 white and 2.26 "grow" gamma (cose to 2.2 or sRGB but I guess it comes with a ramp to a same gray except calibrated). Try these setings and activate U2413.icm in this preset custom of the OSD.

And get an i1DisplayPro, you really need.

    Canon DPP regarding:

2 refers to the "default" image profile
3 to view the profile (so the DPP can distort the RGB values in the image to represent this color in what that is the range to your screen). Once you set a dile icm as 'default' in the control panel-> color management-> your device it shoud check the option "use operating system settings" (I think, I don't have any owm a canon camera)
5 a your printer profile, a profile for each combination of inkjet paper
    6. keep this, perceptual is generally more 'alive' than the actual image
7 I think takes forever with Canon programs (but I am not a canon camera, so I have not tried their meaning), keep the same as 6
